Crazy ending (no spoilers)

I've just watched episode 4 and I gotta say, it's the most intense ending in the whole series, it was just so intense the last 30 seconds and the cliffhanger was even bigger

It made me laugh when Clementine caught them, luckily they had finished by the time she got there otherwise it would be a lot more awkward. The only dialogue option that i thought could fit the situation was ... :P

  • Will do :D

  • Can someone please explain to me how there are Russians where they are?

  • Russians can live in America you know, not just Americans.

  • Yeah but these guys are like sepratists or something like you see in an action movie, it's really not Walking Dead like. Really has put me off this game and that Arvo is truly the worst character ever in TWDG, such a poor scene at the end.

Have you not heard of a place called "the Russian Embassy"? It's this place in America that's considered Russian soil and contains.... you guessed it. Russians. There are also a number of other explainations I can think of for them to have been there, but I'd like to see what ideas other people have?

  • The only bad thing about it all is that we have to wait another 2 months for the last episode D:

    YESS

    FUCKARVO

  • Russians are everywhere, greetings from the country besides Russia

  • I already need another episode :c

  • Can somebody tell me what happens when you don't steal from Arvo? Do the Russians still attack and what excuse does Arvo used cause for me he said "you rob me" so if you don't rob him wat happened?

  • I didn't steal from him but he just came and said "you robed me" and I'm like "bitch what did u just say? you call me a thief? i'm gonna punch you in the face with my pimp hand hope Lee gets to see this badassery". I got an option to tell that Jane did it, but it didn't seem like she stole the meds in that scene. But this episode was like...damn. I'm on a cliff and I'm hangin'.

  • They could be immigrants or just unlucky bastards who got stuck at the airport during the ZA, or, like redro9 says, people from the Russian Embassy.

But, it did sound a bit too unrealistic for me. :/

Don't be so sure mate.Look at The Wolf Among Us for instance.

    Episode 4- May 27
    Episode 5- June 8th

They will finish The Walking Dead as fast as they can for Games Of Thrones and Tales of the borderlands.

And deep down i hope for another season of The Walking Dead with Clem still alive.

The only bad thing about it all is that we have to wait another 2 months for the last episode

  • Yup still Same Sence i guess telltale didnt work much im the episode EVEN ARVO SAID YOU ROBBED ME WHEN YOU CHOOSE NOT

  • edited July 2014

    Jane still robbed his gun.

  • There goes the bogus rumors that Luke was gay just because he and Nick were close. Also, it disproved the ridiculously creepy Cluke theory.

  • Because in TWD 'verse you either die a foreigner, or live long enough to become a Bandit.

Remember the Portuguese in 400 Days?

  • Why watch it instead of playing it? :/

  • -Minor error here. TWAU episode 5 was JULY 8th, not June. But hopefully this means an accelerated dev cycle and a release in less than 2 months.

But otherwise I agree with Jasko on hoping for another season with Clem. Clem has been the link throughout the story and I feel to lose her so soon would be a big blow to the series.

IMO the best course would be to continue the story with Clementine and introduce a new character, perhaps Rebecca's baby, whom we get to learn about/see grow as a NPC and eventually take the reins. Luke isn't this character. This scenario would require two more seasons with Clem to establish the new character and build up for a proper ending for Clem and/or a time jump where things are stable to end a season, then establish a new goal that Clem builds for but ultimately does not get to see come to fruition.

Playing Season 1 I always sided with Kenny on his boat plan, and I think ultimately that should be the goal in this iteration of TWD. Get to an island where things are manageable (w/o risk of hordes), sustainable, and the best chance at a "normal" life. A story of this scale is something that the TV show is unable to accomplish, but Telltale can.

So far TWD's story has only taken place in the US. I'd love to see a scenario where the group (whomever they may be at the time) tries to cross the border (to Canada or Mexico) only to find a police state in effect and a heavily militarized post-apocalyptic nation in place (as The Last of Us did so well). Twisting this hot button issue would make for some great allegorical storytelling.

We should never expect a happy ending in TWD, but having a strong goal in place spanning multiple seasons (aside from just surviving) would be something for the audience to feel is worth investing in.

Telltale is at the forefront of this new medium with their episodic structure, and, if they do it right, TWD could be the landmark series that puts video-game storytelling on the same plane as television and film.

Whether you steal or not, Arvo will always screw you over. Which is incredibly disappointing, because I didn't steal from him, and I was hoping that TTG would have had the episode play out differently depending on whether you steal from him or not. But nope, same ending no matter what you do. Shame on me for being so hopeful.

  • He lies and says you robbed him but gets nervous if you mention jane. I guess if Jane was there they would have not only a little girl's word but an actual adult's word too. Damn it Jane

  • Ikr I was like um.... and Clementine was like wait WHAT?! And they were like uh...Nothing :P

Honestly, I liked S1 EP4's cliffhanger better. Lee was bitten and running out of time, Clementine was captured and you have almost no leads, the horde was outside, etc. Not saying this is bad, just liked S1's better :P
