I've seen the TV show, so I'm guessing something like that.
It's not too big either so most likely it won't be a very BIG hit on Telltale's part.

  • If they keep Clementine, yeah I'll still play.
But I think it'd be better to start with a new character, maybe that is included to Clementine's story?

I mean 400 days characters, they haven't been used yet?

  • ikr i wouldnt mind playing a teenage Clem. Good god I atleast want see one child live to be a teenager. If not that then i would play as a different character with Clem either in the group or alive. The thought of her dying in this season almost makes Lee's sacrifice seem like a waste.

you starting a fight by hating on something with out much context or idea beyond your own opinion,

as i said don't talk for other people...g o t is bigger than you think other wise ttg wouldn't of bothered getting the license for it...

why would ttg cater for a small group of fans ? There would be no money in it..

  • Clem or nothing.

  • No one was hating on it? Can you not?

I just said it wasn't very big, and there is proof.

Sorry if I made you hurt in some way.

  • Agreed. Sticking with one protagonist gets really boring in a world where you, essentially, tell the same story again and again. cough the fucking TWD comics cough

  • I never told anyone else to not care?

He asked what was GoT, I told him what it was and that I have never played of it nor heard of it, and apparently someone said ttg would drop it and it'd be a big loss

I said it wouldn't because most likely no one was actually looking forward to play it...

And what's up with you downvoting every comment I make?

  • no really clem has always been the centerpiece of the series. daryl is just awesome, with a bunch of stupid fucking fans. if daryl died I still watch. they kill rick, while he is still alive in the comics, I would stop watching

You have a really good point, but I honestly don't think its going to happen. Its sort of like Daryl in the TV show... they remove him, they lose a lot of their fanbase.

  • They already killed Duck, Fivel (the kid on the basement that Lee/Kenny/Christa killed or left) and Sarah, both considered as children.
But is it possible to kill Clem? I don't think so... she's getting smarter and smarter, learning "killing" skills, and getting scared less. But nobody is safe.
    ESPECIALLY IN TELLTALE GAMES'.

Clementine's story ends at Ep.4, she gets 360-noscoped by a Russian who then T-bags her body, eats Doritos and drinks Mountain Dew while sitting on Luke's body.

  • soz lol.

But you don't know how he died, and if you never watched it, you won't know anything about him anyways to know if his death means anything or not.

I don't want season 3 with out clem. theres still a WHOLE lot of people who like the game as is and want more. the ones saying just end it are the fucking idiots that cant appreciate the great job TT has done. Season one is a rare perfect game, well near perfect, and its tough to replicate it again. but they still have and awesome game on their hand and I love it

  • We play because we have the emotional connection with Clementine. SHE'S been there since Day 1, and I sure as hell ain't gonna like some poorly-characterized fool who will be inevitably fucked up by the writers because they're too damn lazy.

  • Because I felt season 1 was amazing. This season has removed what I thought were the best parts of it.

I can't talk to characters, or when I can, it's always about the current objective. It's never about who the characters were in the past and how they came to be who they are now. Those conversations are forced on you so it feels like exposition rather than getting to know a character. Season 1, I could talk to characters about the current situation, yes, but I actually got to hear their thoughts on it, rather than simply "we need this. Clem, go get this.", plus I could talk about other things. What does Civil War history have to do with getting a dangling tanker removed from the path of a train? Fuck all, but it was a great bonding moment between Lee and Omid. Season 2 has none of that.

Determinant characters serve no function. Nick died off screen (biggest show of incompetent writing I've seen in this series), two episodes after his deciding moment with nary 10 lines before he was wasted. Sarah got even less, but that's due to her status being so short lived. At least she got to die sort of on screen. We were aware of what was happening. Compare that with Carley and Doug. The choice you make gives you exclusive conversations. On top of that, the bandit raid on the motel scene plays differently (form a game play perspective. script-wise, it's the same). Doug warns you which side of the RV needs clearing, while Carley actively clears one side. Then, saving Carley lets you reveal your past to the group. This can also be seen as a negative to the episode 1 choice as it makes Carley the clearly superior choice, but Doug's path was still well done. On top of that, saving Ben gave him one of the best scenes in the entire series when he tells Kenny to back off. You don't know how badly I wanted to do the same thing in many of my playthroughs, but the game just never let me.

Then, there's the worthlessness of the big choices. While season 1's choices were also largely meaningless in the end, they were at least better implemented. The episode 2 choice with the station wagon supplies drastically changed the confrontation with the stranger. Again, not from a script perspective, but from the player's view. Once the revelation was made, the player was likely to feel angry (if you did not steal, thereby making the stranger's actions far more psychotic), or guilty (if you did steal, meaning his offense was valid). Season 2, your choices affect a line or two of dialog (barring the final choice of episode 1). Choose to kill Sam, and you cut his throat before walking away. Choose not to, and you walk away. Give the dying man water, and nothing changes. Sure, you don't have the water to give to someone else later, but the water is useless. Nothing is affected by it.

As much as I would love to be done with season 2, I still have the season pass. I will finish it for completion's sake because 'why not?'. It might be good. If not, I will have only lost another 1-2 hours of my life. No big deal. However, I will not make this mistake again. Not even if there's season 2 DLC.

    Does that answer your question?

  • Couldn't agree more. Personally, I would have preferred they had left her story behind after season one. Don't get me wrong. I love Clem, but I definitely prefer playing a new character with a clean slate. Plus I think the ambiguous ending to to her story in season one just would've been perfect. In the walking dead world, the only way a character can have a definite end is if they die. With the uncertain end, people could have decided for themselves whether or not Clem survives.

  • I would love to play Clem, even as she grows up! I would prefer that over the other characters. But, I see where you're coming from.
