I think it will end with them arriving at Wellington, then they will see its in ruins and Kenny will drop on the ground and the other survivors will be shocked then zoom in on Clems horrified face screen cuts black
You make a good point, but here's what I don't get:
Why do people say that Lee's death would be in vain if Clementine dies? Lee served as not only Clementine's father figure, but also as a mentor, teaching her how to survive. She's been going on for a good two years, thanks to him. He's done a pretty good job preparing her for the harsh realities of life.
But the thing is, everyone meets their end eventually.
To be perfectly honest I don't see any reason for Clementine to die in Season 2, Telltale would just be repeating themselves if they killed … morethe playable character again, it would also mean that everything Lee did was in vain, because if there was one thing we had at the end of Season 1 it was hope, hope that Clementine will survive thanks to Lee's guidance and ultimately sacrifice.
I believe it would only make sense to play as Clementine in Season 3, since as far as I am concerned the story of TWDG was about Clementine from the beginning.
Also just a side note: I don't think I would be able to forgive Telltale if they truly did, for some (to me) unforseeable reason decide that Clementine should die at the end of the last episode, but if they did, there would be No Going Back.
Clementine is not going to die. Telltale is terrible at communicating to fans and releasing episodes in a timely fashion, but they are one of the BEST at plot development and story telling. They know how much Clem is a determinant in the success of the future. Now eventually if it gets that far, they will have to move on from Clementine but for Season 3, Clementine will definitely be the protagonist.
I would maybe agree with you, Tyler_Durant.
Or not.
But I have to say something first:
Clementine is a (emotional), well developed Character. She was at the beginning of TWDG. She looked realistic, like she was in the real world. People wouldn't buy this game, when Clem wasn't the protagonist.
But Lee could also live longer, but we saw much of him, but we saw also much of Clem. So I want to say is, that
a Character can never be done of developing. There can always be things that can be developed on her/him.
Also I need to say, that it will be a death like in S1, at the 5th Episode. So it didn't needs to happen. It could happen in an another Episode in S3.
IF Clementine would die in the next Episode, I would be really sad, but I would still buy the 3rd season.
WHY?, because who knows, what's gonna happen, waybe we can get some back Storytelling of her.
But I can't decide, I won't let Clem die, and I would simply ask myself this question:
Who can create such a emotional, meaningful Character like Clementine?
Of course she is Sherlock! She was 8 when the shit hit the fan. She lives in a fucking apocalpyse. But my Clem will still try to help people who need her help.
No matter how we play Clementine has still lost a lot of her innocence and empathy
And then you said
No not in my game.
Now your saying of course she has! So you actually just agreed with me, thanks. I never said your Clem doesn't still help peolpe i said Clementine is getting more and more cold and distant.
Of course she is Sherlock! She was 8 when the shit hit the fan. She lives in a fucking apocalpyse. But my Clem will still try to help people who need her help.
I hate when people say they won't buy the game if a character dies. Just don't buy it, you're obviously not prepared for a universe like TWD where anyone can die.
I don't care about who dies anymore, i just care about playing the game. I'll probably get sad or mad about a death, but i won't "riot" because that shit is childish.
It would be completely unacceptable because, YES, it would mean Lee died in vain. He gives Clem all those tools and resources and she f'ing DIES?! There's no possible way the story could continue after that, might as well play through nothing but a YOU ARE DEAD screen the rest of the way.
You also have to take into account the fact that Kenny Molly, Jane, Christa and Omid have all shown her new survival skills. They should have the series ending with Clem still alive no matter what. Not saying it HAS to be a happy ending but one that shows she's even tougher than we all know her to be.
You make a good point, but here's what I don't get:
Why do people say that Lee's death would be in vain if Clementine dies? Lee served as… more not only Clementine's father figure, but also as a mentor, teaching her how to survive. She's been going on for a good two years, thanks to him. He's done a pretty good job preparing her for the harsh realities of life.
But the thing is, everyone meets their end eventually.
Because this is a game, not real life. A well-written story should be more important than strict realism, and Clementine dying prematurely is not good storytelling.
And yes, she's been surviving for about two years now, but remember that we haven't even seen most of that because of the time skip in All That Remains.

Bullshit. Not everyone dies in the Walking Dead. Rick, Carl, Andrea, Maggie and Michonne are still alive after over 100 issues from their introduction, and it's even worse in the TV show. For the moment, the video game probably has the worst ratio between living and dead characters (REAL characters. Woodbury guard 12 and savior 3870 don't count), and one of those dead characters is the season 1 protagonist.

If Clem is killed, It has to be the SERIES finale. The end of everything because it would be a bad for marketing to kill Clementine at this point. Drop of sells, and who knows. Most people (Some are on here) might even stop playing because they are too depressed about her death.
I know it sounds heartless and I can already feel the rage flowing now. But I'd be fine if Clem dies. NO I dont want her to die! But I'm say… moreing I would get over it and buy season 3 regardless if she lives or dies. Her story has been a hell of an emotional rollercoaster but all great stories must come to an end and there are no happy endings in the walking dead.
Clem needs to survive as a final attachment with the very begining of the story. I know we still have Kenny there, but the whole point of twd now is Clem's survival. I do believe she will make it even through season 3, and I also hope they will introduce that time-jump that was recently in comics and Clem will be about 15yo in S3.
And if that happens, I want as many dialogue nostalgic options as possible. About Lee, Kenny, Pete, Carley, Molly... etc ...
Yeah, I mean CORAL can die even, Glenn... but not Rick. He's like Clem here, a cornerstone of the story because she reach all the way back to the very beggining of the story.
Clem dies - The whole of season one pointless...
Hell.. The Walking Dead game would be pointless without Clem.. Just Like the Tv show is pointless without Rick.

I see two problems with Clementine dying in the finale:
1 There's no foreshadowing in the entire season that among all people, Clementine would die. The way I see it, season 2's big theme is the "rise of a new generation". We have Clementine learning very useful skills from adults around her, and she's constantly been given opportunities to outshine other adult characters the whole time. The story is telling us how when hardened effectively, young kids growing in this environment can handle almost impossible situations. Kids like Sarah who can't handle it dies, kids like Clementine will rise up as leaders and bring hope. Carver may be insane and evil in so many ways, but I think he's definitely right about Clementine's potentials. In short, Clementine's death would be very contrived and forced, and goes against what they've been building on for the past 4 episodes.
2 On the other hand, no matter how they do it, executing two protagonists in two season finales would be repetitive. While I can tolerate a bit repetitiveness along the way, reusing basically the climax from season 1 for season 2 finale would be unacceptable. If they want to make me feel, they have to do better than killing another main lead.
The problem for me is if she dies, there will be no more connection between the seasons
And after what everything Lee did to keep her alive, it would mean that he (we) failed in a certain way... Except if she sacrifiezes herself for someone else but it would mean that it wasn't a choice and I wouldn't want my Clem to die for someone else without my me choosing to...

I agree with you and explained why I'd be okay with Clementine dying this season in a thread I made. On top of the reasons I outlined there, I also don't want her to, after everything she's been through, grow up to become an unlikable character, such as a female Larry, or Lily 2.0.
REALLY?! Your whole argument is "She should die now while she's still a child so she doesn't have to worry about transforming into a b***h automatically when she grows up and becomes a woman"?! SMH

Damn right you will, NOW SIT YOUR ASS DOWN AND ENJOY IT!!

I'm not sure it's time for Clementine's story to end, but if it does, I trust TT to wrap it up well, without pulling a Bioware.

Don't know what they teach you at film school but i know good and meaningful storytelling isn't one of them.
Well then, since your knowledge of story telling is obviously far more superior to mine, perhaps you'd like enlighten me on what makes a good story.
I'm just imagining that everyone is giving the OP that same look that Rocky is giving Drago.
...Oh yeah. That doesn't make me feel uncomfortable at all...(gulps)
No not in my game.

Dude. It's been seven years and I'm still not over Fred Weasley dying.

Kirkman can kill whoever he wants in the comic.
And he's already said he can kill Rick. But idc about the comics, i stopped reading after the Hunters.
The TV show is following the comic, so Rick is safe, but they could pull another Andrea so..
Everyone doesn't die but they could die, since no one if safe in the world like TWD. It's been said a million times.
season 1 and 2 are gonna feel pretty pointless if she dies in the end
