Did Clem know....

I was wondering....

Did Clem know what Luke and jane were actually doing in the gift shop? I mean, she looked pretty confused to me. Not revolted, which would be a more appropriate response for a young girl to have.

I mean she's only around eleven, and she was eight when this all started. I don't think her parents had given her "the talk" by that age. We can be pretty sure lee never did. He never even had time, let alone a reason to talk to her about this stuff. Maybe Christa told her about Vegas weekend?

What do you guys think?

  • Smart logic, but honestly I already knew that clem had no idea because .... idk she didn't give off a Revolting response like you said :) kinda just like a Childs-mind logic, like... "what are you guys doing up here O.o"

  • Well, she was with Omid and Christa before the time-skip, and they were doing the nasty while she was in the bathroom, so maybe.

  • Wait.... what were Luke and Jane doing?

  • Uhhhhhhhh

Wait.... what were Luke and Jane doing?

  • You know. Stuff and thangs.

Wait.... what were Luke and Jane doing?

  • I don't think she knew exactly what they were doing, but I think she's smart enough to figure out that they were doing something intimate.

  • Did you see her face of course she did ha ha

  • She probably has some general idea of what they were doing, even if she doesn't know all the [snickers] ins and outs.

  • REALLY!!!!, I thought they were just talking but they liked eachother a bit, but I didn't think......... THAT!!
    haha

  • Someone post a picture of her face after you do the "Luke?" option.

  • Luke says "I haven't felt that human in a long time" sees Clementine. He get's super defensive and nervous. It was rather obvious what they were "doing" haha

  • Come to think about it, I probably learned what sex was around when I was 11ish. I remember school first told us about it in 5th grade.

Actually, now I'm curious about what it's like in other countries... I know the United States is pretty puritanical so (Hell, I went to Austria and this pool had one changing room for both genders... I remember being particularly uncomfortable...)

Well I don't know. It's sorta confusing as Clem doesn't know what it means when someones water breaks but knows what Mike ment when he said his golden line from e4 "I'd eat the shit out of that racoon" xD

  • Just wanted to also point out that she also didn't know what it meant when a water broke.

  • i doubt it, i didn't know what sex was until i was traumatized in health class by that wonderful video of babies being born. Since one girl got pregnant at the middle school, they decided to scare every kid senseless with that gross health video.

  • Yeah but Clementine is in the Zombie Apocalypse so unless Christa told her then I don't think that she knows.

I think it might depend on what dialogue you chose when you caught them, i chose the ... option and she made this face

which i read as a slightly disgusted reaction so my Clementine knew exactly what was going on :P

  • She was smarter than i was at her age, all i knew about was Super Nintendo or Genisis.

  • i think Clem had a vague idea of what was going on,but she's got a really perplexing face there...her lips look like she's disgusted but her eyes say something else.

  • "Knows what he meant".

I don't think she thought of the ... Adult vertion or that line. xD I think she though of the literal"I'd eat the actual shit out of that raccoon."

  • Also if you look you can see jane is refastening her boot just as Clem arrives

  • She's about as smart as 2 or 3 adults put together, I think she understood what they were doing.

  • I actually hadn't even thought of the adult version of that until now XD

  • When Jane's leaving you can ask her about Luke, so I think she knows at least a little bit.

  • 'She is smarter' she is not dead yet and you are still un-smarter at your age o_0

  • I don't understand why would it be appropiate for Clementine to revolt even if she knew what was going on? She would just be puzzled. Which was exactly how she reacted. It was a much more natural and appropiate for the scene I think.

  • When Jane is leaving, Clem has the option to say "...Aren't you and Luke..." then Jane will say something like "No, it's not like that, and it will never be like that". So I think she knew.

  • Get out the banana!

  • lol, wow I wonder who's gonna give Clem a talk, ....

  • They should of showed a flashback of Clem walking in on Omid and Christa

  • Am guessing yes she did and if you later tell Jane what about Luke, she imply s they where a couple or etc. She also was with Christa whom was pregnant and am guessing she gave her the talk in the future, plus with the foul language and sexual suggestions Clem has herd before numerous times from other characters and enemies, and its the Apocalypse. Tho am surprise irl by her age she should at least know where baby's comes from and how

Christa has probably told her about... Stuff. Keep in mind that Christa had a year and a half with just the two of them. Christa HAD to have let her know what happens to little girls in the apocalypse (God... It hurts to type that)... So she knows. Unfortunately. :(

  • I want to know this. Does Clementine know that the blood on her hat is Lee's blood when he was bit by a walker, or just an ordinary stain?

  • Clem does the best face expressions.

  • I live in Australia, things are different here. there is primary school, high school, collage and then Uni. Primary school goes from Prep to year five, High School goes year 6 to year 10, Collage year 11 and year 12, and then Uni is farther study.

I wasn't told about that stuff till I was in high school, I can't remember well but I think it would year 6 or year 7.

  • I think that she has a basic idea of what sex is but she doesn't understand the concept of casual sex and when she asked Jane about Luke I think that she thought that they were trying to have a baby.

When Jane's leaving you can ask her about Luke, so I think she knows at least a little bit.
