I Think I Know Jane's Past Group!!
If you go back to season 2 episode 1 when Winston is chasing after Clem, he runs into a walker and kicks it in the legs and stabs it in the back of the head... Just like Jane taught Clem to do! Maybe Jane was with them and found out and after her sister died she left. That's maybe why she also talked to Clem about leaving a group who'll "only pull you down". It would also debunk the theory that Mike was a part of that group because he would've otherwise mentioned something and he didn't know to use the technique. I don't think Jane's technique is not very common either as nobody seems to use it at all throughout the series. Let me know what you guys think.

That would be interesting... And she also stole Arvo's stuff, so it's not impossible that she hadn't done it before.
Thanks
. My cousin was playing season 2 for the first time after I just played episode 4 so the thought just hit me
Hmmm. Not bad, but we'll probably never know for sure. Good find, though!![:) :)](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Oh wow I never noticed that before! Good find!
Never thought of that... could be true
I like this theory way more then my own. Let me give you another like, man.![:) :)](https://community.telltalegames.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
You Blew my Tiny Mind away..... best find of the year!!!
She didn't steal arvo stuff damn stop with that.
Now you take mine!
She was very shaken up about having to do that, though, lamenting the fact that she's been reduced to "stealing some poor kid's thing, like a bandit."
I don't think Jane was in Winston's group. All her complaints about her former groups revolved around them being weak and fighting amongst themselves, not being brutal and going after helpless people.
It's very possible that she could have stole some other things. And it's determinant
Maybe because they went after people they were considered weak, cowards, and Jane wasn't having any of that! Also it could be because Jane called them weak, they decided to toughen up and rob people
I like it dude, nice find!
He tries to throw away the meds and she doesn't steal anything, but the gun. So he blames it on them since he wanted to get rid of it and found the right excuse.
Hmm, for me it looked like Jane and her sister were together without any group. But yeah, nice find as others have said too!
She wanted to and it's ultimately up to you to actually do it.
I know for sure.
How?
In all honesty, how is going for the knees to knock a walker down proof of her being in Winston's group? Jane could have been a street fighter before everything went to hell. Or she took self defense or martial arts. You'd also think several people would figure it out and not just one group. Take out the walker's legs, only way they can go is down. Gives you a chance to get the upper hand. Necessity is the mother of invention. Anyone who knows how to fight knows it's important to throw your opponent off balance so you can get the upper hand. Easiest way to do it is go for their legs. It's a bit of a cheap shot, but hey, think a zombie's gonna give you a fair chance?
I think Jane's been alone long before Season 2 opened up. And much as I dislike her, she doesn't seem cold enough to be with bandits who were willing to murder children. If anything, her treatment of Arvo gives me the impression that she's been tricked before by pitiable people and no longer wants to take the chance of trusting them.
Well, nice theory.
But I think she came from a different group. One we all know.
Crawford.
When Jane, Rebecca and Clementine are walking to Parker's Run, Jane asks Rebecca what she's going to do with the baby. Rebecca gets pissed and Jane says that her and her sister have seen it before.
We all know the character that made her first and only appearance in the Crawford tapes that Lee found, Anna Corea. She was pregnant, just like how Rebecca is now.
What if Jane and her sister went with her when if Anna escaped Crawford? Anna had the baby and it was basically walker bait, which got Anna and the baby killed (sorry for the darkness). That could be what Jane was talking about. That could also mean that Jane knew Molly and her sister, just as Molly knew Jane and her sister.
Just a theory I had.
We don't know how old Jane's sister was (probably between Clem and Sarah's age), but weren't the Crawford members morons who saw no value in children? I think Jane simply was being pragmatic enough to realize a baby didn't have much chance of surviving outside a stable community, rather than being stupidly evil.
Molly's sister was 14.
I think Jane was reminded of her sister from Clementine due to how mature Clementine is for her age, and for Sarah, it reminded Jane how much her sister wanted to give up, and/or was starting to become a liability.
Nice theory! I really do think that Jane is at least tied with the group... hmmm.... I wonder what Jane would've said if Clementine had the option to ask her about Christa...
She took his gun though.
I like seeing people theorize and share ideas, but honestly, I don't think they even put so much thought into that xD
actually if you pick the "I didn't steal from you" dialogue choice, Clem states that Jane stole his things.
because that's the only safe assumption for her, or just plain bad writing.
She throws the gun in the floor.
Yeah you right when i spar i get them out of balance and then give a upper cut that is a good way to get your opponent down it's just basic fight stuff basically but you gotta know it because when i was younger i couldnt fight for shit
According to Reggie, "We found her outside covered in the grossest shit." Think it's safe to say she was nowhere near Winston's group. Besides, why would Carver take her alive when he gunned down everyone in Winston's group?
Interesting theory
This technique that Jane is using is not very common, but I saw Clem to use it too, before she met Jane - in S2E2 on the bridge

Uhhh dude I said that she left their group after her sister died she wasn't with them when the thing with Christa happened
Yeah buts that's because she's little and she didn't realize she even did it whereas Winston looked like he knew exactly what he was doing
She was traveling alone across 4 states with her sister. Don't you think she'd have mentioned that there were other people with them when she left her sister to be eaten alive?
She doesn't say they were alone she said we traveled not we traveled alone. Also she doesn't need to tell Clem her life story as Clem never tells Jane her life story
Actually, Jane is one that prompts Clementine to take the medicine. Yes, there is a choice, Clementine can choose not to steal it, but if she hadn't been there, Clementine, I mean, Jane would have stolen the meds, and might have even killed Arvo.
Seems more like any reasonably competent zombie fighter would have done that.
Gasp OMG
Then why don't more people do it?
