Just Watched Playing Dead
Greg Miller and pretty much all of Telltale hated the character Sarah, his explains her extremely early death. They talk about the choices in the game and who did what, and talk about the ending. They only mention Nick once, and talk about how they want this season to be Clem's defining season to shape her into what type of person she'll be in this world. Check out the S2Ep5 wait thread it's been up for about an hour now :P
Thanks!
I didn't even know one was coming out, it's been such a long time.
If and when it comes out, can someone please be kind enough to post it here?
I don't even watch Playing Dead, I'm not interesting in watching a video about actors talking about the game unless they reveal things for the next episode.
I just watched and I guess Greg and the writers hated Sarah...that would explain the instant death even after saving her -_-
It was boring. I was expecting Greg to ask about 205..
How silly of me.
Greg miller annoys the life out of me.
What are you all talking about? This was the best playing Dead episode with Greg Miller so far. He actually talked about the choices we had to make in the last episode and the writers of the episode explained their point of few and what their thoughts on the writing were.
I give this playing Dead episode a 8 out of 10. (-2points because Greg Miller;)
You really think Telltale would answer ANY questions about the season finale?
You would have been less bored if they added in a 10 second exchange consisting of "So what can you tell me about episode 5?" "It's gonna be good." "Anything else?" "Nope."?
Because that's all that would have happened.
No one gives a fuck about the choices he made or how he hates Sarah.
I was expecting an update on the release or a trailer.
I couldn't have said it better myself, that's exactly what i was thinking. I would enjoy seeing more of this kind of playing Dead episodes.
I didn't think that the Telltale devs hated Sarah. Greg certainly did, but Mark and Jason never really gave their opinions of her character. But they did push Greg a bit on why he immediately left Sarah so they didn't seem to think that abandoning her was a natural choice to make.
Can't disagree with that.
They said in Playing Dead that most of Telltale disliked Sarah
A matter of fact many people seem to forget about this game is that no matter what you do, none of the choices we make are 100% natural. You can always argue about that the decision you made, was the right thing to do. For example, i left Sarah behind at the trailer park. She was obviously going though a very deep depression and was slowly but surely " ceasing to function " and because of that, she was putting our whole group at risk. Of course that is just my own opinion, i don't think everyone has to agree on this. (And in my opinion, this is what makes this game so amazing)
I still don't understand why Telltale gave players options to save Sarah twice if she was going to get killed anyways. If you saved her, she should've survived until Episode 5 just like Ben did. Same for Nick.
I was expecting "It's coming very very soon."
Or a screen. Or trailer.
But my own expectations gets me dislikes.
Those are two different things.
Let me re-fraise that.
I was expecting Greg to say something like:
Greg- so the finale.
Mark- Yeah.
Greg- When can we a expect it.
Mark- Very soon. We're hard at work.
Greg- Anything else?
Mark- ...
Greg- Dammit.
So Nick gets ignored? Bleh.
And Greg makes a horrible decision so they don't have to address she dies anyway?
And he calls Rebecca an Ice Queen?
Fuck Greg Miller.
Funny how he says people who chose for Sarah to die because she was "weak" were on the "right side of history." I can think of some folks in history who also supported eradicating the "weak" for the betterment of the "strong", but typically we're taught those are the bad guys...
Wait, what was wrong with calling Rebecca an Ice Queen? Doesn't that just refer to the archetype of a woman with a really cold, uncaring demeanor?
I thought the same thing. Greg's foot-in-mouth game is still as strong as ever.
Fuck you. Stop the hate already. Let's all be friends.
And we just got rid of someone like that, ya'know him that gut who enslaved the cabin group and other people with them, (Determinant) Slapped an 11 year old girl, threw a man off a roof for not picking berries correctly, nearly beat kenny to death and said he would keep chasing them even when they escaped the second time.
They didn't even mention the title slide or what happened to Eddie. SMH.
This was just an overall very uncomfortable episode to watch. I was kind of upset by it, to be honest.
I highly disagree with this statement. This episode was supposed to make us realize that no matter what we do, we can't always stop people from dying. This is a zombie apocalypse after all.
I do agree with you that Nick's death could have been handled better and that Luke's reaction was kinda underwhelming. But in Sarah's case, her unavoidable death suited her character very nicely.
He called Mike "the guy who carried the water". FUCK. GREG. MILLER. #MikeIsTooGoodForGreg
I disagree. Telltale's loss of inspiration and needs for Episode 5 is what killed Sarah & Nick. Just because it's the zombie apocalypse doesn't mean that certain people have to be ultimately killed by it. Sarah's personality changed into an irredeemably helpless person and Telltale even tried to use Jane as a moral guide to persuade players into getting rid of her. Twice. Then when Sarah finally does die, it was because she fell off a deck when it collapsed and got neglected by the group when she was stuck. It's all way too contrived. Sarah could've been handled better. Just like Nick.
Well, if so, I can't think of a less fitting term for Rebecca, so I think that's the problem.
