I hope wellington is like Alexandria

I hope Wellington is like Alexandria because in the comics Alexandria was the first time Rick's group got to really settle down and look at themselves and what they've become. It was also cool for Carl because there were other kids there but he didn't along with them very well because they still acted like kids and were very sheltered by their parents unlike Carl. It would be interesting to see Clem really be a kid again but they kinda already did that with Sarah. It would also be great for Kenny (if he makes it) to reflect on the death of family Sarita included. Or it could be like Woodbury, who knows?

What do you think? Will Wellington be legit? Destroyed? or something much worse?

  • I hope it'll actually be a legitimate haven - after all this death and misery, it'll be an outright surprise for people. Plus a bittersweet ending is better than "Welp, literally everything is doomed."

I doubt that its gonna be legit :P This is telltale we are talking about here!
But for some reason, I think Wellington will turn out to be some sort of military stronghold/ safe-zone.

  • It's probably not going to be like it is there, sadly.

  • I just hope the leader isn't a psycho. It's wayyyy overdone.

  • Yeah telltale isn't following the same formula as the comics or show. that and we just had carver so don't need a psycho leader. then again after the governor the comics got Negan who is even more insane.

  • I hope Wellington is nothing like Alexandria because I'm already tired of seeing the same predictable overdone stuff that's been going on in the comics for years.

  • It could be like Alexandria, and then they include a pyscho leader of another gang that steals their supplies, which would be the game's adaption of Negan. Like, s2 ends with "Negan" brutally murdering one of their guys (like he does in the comics), which leads to s3 which is a war between Wellington and the game's adaption of the Saviors.

    Just a thought

  • I hope it is legit because it's gonna be so depressing if its not. It could be a good place for season 3 to take place around, think they could do some interesting stories.

  • I'm saying it would be cool and yeah the comics have been getting really slow lately. The all out war finale was so disappointing. I don't know where Kirkman is going with the comic but I hope its something exciting.

  • it could happen. The things that happen in the comics have been happening in the game kinda. Telltale is kinda doing their thing and not just doing a carbon copy of the comic.

  • I'm sure Season 3 will start off with Clementine at a stable Wellington. It seems ideal for Telltale to leave Clem there while they spend next year working on their next games.

  • they do have a lot of games to make

  • I'd prefer it if they did something a little different. Maybe instead of having Wellington against another big rival group they could have a power struggle within Wellington that could lead to a civil war kind of thing.

  • Can someone educate me on Wellington? I keep seeing this name mentioned through the forum, but have no idea what it's about.

  • I'm curious about whether Kenny will die off in this Season, or live on to try and become Governor of Wellington in Season 3.

  • Its where Clem and Christa were headed before they got separated in season 2 Episode 1.

  • "Supposed to be a camp near Michigan. Think about it - fresh water, lots of land, and cold-ass winters so the walkers can't move!"

The problem, of course, is that it might be too cold for the living to make it there too.

  • Please don't forget to post the comic 'spoiler tag' for this thread.

  • Nice, thanks I forgot about that.

  • A mention of Rick in the game would be awesome :D . I just don't know how they could do that.

  • TWD = Hopeless world, so wellington is going to be a death trap if they make it there.

From what I understand, the comics are currently a year ahead of the game's Season 2. Depending on when Season 3 comes out and what Kirkman decides to do, we might very well see another time-skip and see an adolescent Clementine. Whether or not Telltale will be allowed to use any more characters from the video-games is something I'm curious about. It'd be interesting to have acknowledgement of Alexandria or Woodbury in Season 3, if the theme will be about clashing communities.

To be sure, I don't think any major characters will be used in the video games unless they're cameos just like how Glenn and Hershel's roles didn't contradict the comics.

  • Well Rick woke up 1 month after the outbreak, which in timeline is between episode 1 and 2 of Season 1. Since 2 years has passed, I think he is in Alexandria. :)

  • If it was legit and safe..then where would telltale take the game from there. I mean fundamentally...as long as the game keeps going..nowhere can ever really be safe.

  • Yeah i doubt it will be legit.

  • What makes you think Alexandria ISN'T Wellington?

Jk but seriously... Clem and Sophia need to meet up and become besties. Sophia could show Clementine what it's like to be a kid again...

  • i doubt that anyone from the comic will meet anyone from game. i think they're gonna keep them separate

Well we have a variety of Welligtons

1st Wellington (Kentucky): It's closer to Parker's Run (Fictional place) this in Tennessee. It would be as realistic as the season is ending.

2nd Wellington (Fictional place): As already TWD Comics, creating fictitious shelters with the names of real places, but surely not serious because that place Alexandria is in Washington DC.

3rd Wellington (Misuri): There is not sure to be there but is close to Tenneesse.

4th Wellington (Illinois): Is far from Tennessee, but is an option because it's cold.

likely very few because they are far:

5th Wellington (Ohio): It's Cold but far far away, would have to be a big skiptime.

6th Wellington (Wisconsin): Same, it's Cold but far far away, would have to be a big skiptime.

Also I have the fantasy that Clem knows Rick and Carl, all the whole group is not necessary and that the Wellington's Community do a trade with Alexandria.

Well that will be known in Season Finale.

  • Wellington could be good but I think it's more of BOAT season 2..

TWDG S2 will finish with Negan Defeated in Hilltop.

It could be like Alexandria, and then they include a pyscho leader of another gang that steals their supplies, which would be the game's ada

  • To shake things up and catch us unprepared, they could make Wellington an actual safe and psychopath-free place (gasp!). However, that wont be very entertaining, will it? So what if, this time, our group is the one to create the danger and mess things up.

Maybe something like Lilly happens again, and one of our group members becomes paranoid that Wellington is hiding something and it drives them to murder, maybe something happens to the baby and Kenny loses all sanity and the rest suffer for it, or maybe Luke falls into bed with a new girl and Jane comes back for revenge while driving a tractor and holding numerous nail files like they're her actual fingers!!

The, uh, last one was a joke.

Back to the point; Clem gets stuck between the two groups, not knowing whether to go with old loyalties or follow her conscience, and a bunch of innocent people get sucked into the mayhem.

  • I understand your point. But still...

    • Thomas (mentioned)
    • Hershel (Cameo)
    • Glenn (Cameo)
    • Lily (messed up continuity-wise, but a cameo nonetheless)

I think it's super possible. I don't think the time skip in the comics made only recently would put Carl/Sophia/Clementine at the exact same age for nothing.

i doubt that anyone from the comic will meet anyone from game. i think they're gonna keep them separate

  • I don't know why they're going to Wellington. After what happened with Carver you think they would stay very far away from all groups and communities.
