And as Hazzer says, the comparison between what's going on where you live now and this forum isn't really ideal because the situations are so far apart from each other. One is a very bad situation, and the other is an insignificant thing in the grand scheme of things.

I'm not even one week here, and now I read something like that? That makes me quiet sad. Every Moderator I encountered was polite and friendly, and I'm really thankful that there are people, who spend their own time on the forums to make it a better place. When I read the Forum Guidelines the first time and saw the first rule, I knew I found a nice place to stay. But some people might have forgotten them

I don't think that's the problem, I knew a lot of people their didn't mind when new people joined to the thread. But I think merging a discussion with others is just stupid, because people kind of had their "privacy" if you know what I mean.

Great post. I've been coming here a lot less often lately because of some of the things you mentioned. I can't believe some of posts I was reading today attacking Jennifer. It was pretty ridiculous. I've been here since last November and things have changed a lot since then. I just don't feel like there's as much in the way of constructive discussion. It does exist, but there's some unnecessary overreactions at times.
The reason this forum exists is to share our love (and even constructive criticism) for Telltale's work. It would be a lot more enjoyable if everyone remembered that. I'm guilty of getting frustrated over things here (I have my own venting going on TWAU release date discussion thread because Kindle users are STILL waiting for Ep. 4, but I digress lol). There's really no excuse for hurting people's feelings/ganging up on them until they leave. Mods are volunteers who are a part of the forum the same way the rest of us are. The only difference is that they volunteer some of their time to clean up the board, which is a thankless job. They have feelings too.
I'm saddened that Jennifer was bullied out of the community. That's wrong and I don't care what the reasons are. I concur that this place is not much fun anymore. I feel like it's full of people who think they can push the concept of 'the customer is al… moreways right' too far and that it's fine to say/do whatever they want to. I see far too much criticism thrown at Telltale and it's often not done in a sensible, calm, respectful way. There's too much over-reaction as well and people tend to think Telltale needs to cater to them. If they don't, then bad or lazy writing! Then there's the fact that many think their opinion = fact. It all leads to a never-ending cycle of complaining/arguing/debating where no progress is ever made, which doesn't make the place fun to be around. And it is slightly ironic that Telltale are accused of being disrespectful when some users should take a look at themselves.

What I think is important now is moving on and learning from the mistakes made, so that things improve here in the future, as an apology is unlikely to be forthcoming and Jennifer may not return. Yeah, you have no right to nor an expectation of privacy on Telltale's forum. Nor do you have a right to dictate what happens to threads. Mods have their reasons for merging threads. They don't do it to be mean, but some of the things a couple of people were saying to Jennifer were pretty mean. There's the difference. She was just trying to do her job as a community volunteer, others were intentionally being mean to her for it. There's no excuse for ganging up on people and being hurtful. I don't understand why things have to escalate so quickly on the internet. Some people instantly go from 0 to 100 on the anger scale when it comes to internet discussions. Lol.
