Indeed. Some people on the forum, and not all kenny fans, seem to parrot both his words and decisions.
That is why most of them have been unwilling to engage in actual discussion with me. The removal of downvotes has made them creep out of their holes, but not much.
They prefer to follow others' opinions instead of making them themselves, and as a result said opinions are often half baked.
You've got the awesome ones like Belan, Rock etc who make very intelligent comments and engage in discussions. But you've also got ones such as The Walking Mustache who make jokes about Kenny's beard on basically half the threads they go on, and fill the remaining half with comments saying he is Jesus.
i don't offended but racist jokes more shocked that are people actually like that because you only hear stories about them. just understand what you're saying don't just say it because your favorite character did.

I think you are taking this "problem" to a whole different level.
Well, some of the racist jokes I can understand, but I think you are saying it like all of us are trying to offend people.

Agreed. "Intent" as an excuse only gets you so far because regardless of what your intent was, you still said/did it. And when you get called out on that but still argue about it and still say/do problematic things, then you don't even have the excuse of "that wasn't my intent", because you've been informed it hurts people but you're still electing to do it nevertheless.

I know, I think that's true. I don't really argue about clem's race, and I stopped talking about kenny's urban joke for a while.
But, I'm sorry if I offended anyone with my comment above.

i'm call myself black because i live in america and come from slaves. now someone coming directly from africa with african parents born in a… moremerican he's african-american not me. just like someone with a mexican background being born in american is a mexican -american. my roots are so mixed up and lost i'm so far from african.
Well, I thought it was funny because it's the kind of subtle, accidental racism I have to put up with all the time. It made Kenny more believable as a white southerner than if he were to act like a Klansman or the rednecks from the TV series. He was being ignorant, not malicious, and that was something I could understand.
But it's a bit annoying to see people just echoing that word without realizing that it's meant to be making fun of ignorant racism. Just have a spine and call a black person black.

look i understand what you're trying to do but you clearly haven't read the thread or any of the comments so please stop. i'm not gonna get on you about it but i can't say the same for someone else.
White American dad, Thai mother. Racism comes in a lot of forms, whether ignorant or hostile, so it's necessary to be thick-skinned.
Little 'innocent' comments like Kenny's assumption remind me of the many assumptions Americans have made about me. I can't hate them for it, but it does get annoying after the five-hundredth joke about being from "Bang-Cock."
It's funny, stop getting butt hurt over it. You think urban is racist? I could pull tons of much worse stuff outta my ass. I'm sure if a bla… moreck person heard it they wouldn't care. Why? Cause it was used in a humorous context. If it was used in intent of harm and offence, sure. Get into an uproar, but people have to lighten up and stop being butt hurt left right and center because "heuheu. He made fun of his race".

damn that's gotta suck. i just wanted to say to never use the term "poc" to describe people that aren't white. just because we aren't white and get discriminated by white people doesn't mean its the same kind. I've never had anything like being from "bang-cock" said to me and i'm sure you've never experienced the kind of racism i have. also don't do it group us together like that just because we aren't white that doesn't we get along we get along because i have gotten racism from people that aren't white.
not saying you say or have said that just making a point.

Calm down dude, its not a big deal, and technically, Urban does NOT mean black, if your Urban then that means you are from a urban area such as a big city or so, yes we do know Kenny was assuming Lee could pick a lock because he is black but instead of saying black he covered it up by saying its because hes from the city.
uh..i am black and i understand it was a joke and i'm not butthurt. i actually thought it was a very funny but its people that are using the joke incorrectly. they don't understand the joke or why it was funny they're just saying it because kenny did.

Comments
Lots of people here we're raised in environments in which insulting races is not serious in any manner whatsoever, so try not to take it seriously

yeah i don't understand it either.
I like how you just came to an extremely serious thread and start talking about ridiculous things with that profile picture XD
if the walking dead has taught us anything its that there are leaders and followers.
I think you are taking this "problem" to a whole different level.
Well, some of the racist jokes I can understand, but I think you are saying it like all of us are trying to offend people.
no it was a problem.
Whether you're intentionally doing it is irrelevant with things like racism or homophobia.
So it has.
@flog61 fair point.

yep make jokes but understand what you're saying. the only good comedians are the smart ones.

I had a feeling you would be editing that comment when i read it the first time
no no don't be like that. you didn't offend me but i can't speak for anyone else. you understand now and that's all that matters.
Yep, I edited it. My first comment actually came out very bad.
what was the first comment? i don't think i saw it.
It was something along the lines of "it's not really a problem" Well, it is, but I don't notice it. And it sounded really bad, so I edited it,
Dude i have seen slavery, it still exists, or it did about ten years ago. It isn't something to joke about.

were you talking to me?
ah yes i saw that nevermind.
you get what i'm saying thank you. i don't understand why they couldn't get that. (T-T) (crying because you get it)
Heh, it might take not being white to understand it better.
yeah i guess so. what are you?
Its cool, it took me 28 years to learn how not to put my foot in my mouth.
yeah he's fine
thanks?
edit: I'm also a girl
...Someone has to do, and so it shall be me.
look i understand what you're trying to do but you clearly haven't read the thread or any of the comments so please stop. i'm not gonna get on you about it but i can't say the same for someone else.
ah my bad i didn't know sorry.
and you're welcome?
no i put a question mark there to the foot in my mouth comment.
ah ok

You people need to listen to this song,

Sounds like you're getting your jimmies rustled. Nobody deserves praise for not using racial slurs, even silly ones.
