You do remember when they were walking, with Rebecca holding her child, Luke telling Kenny "Don't be weird about it" and all of that other shit? And he didn't really apologize, it didn't sound like an apology. It sounded like "YOU WANT ME TO APOLOGIZE FOR SOMETHING I THINK WAS REASONABLE".

It doesn't matter what happened in previous episodes, it did sound like he was leaving, and that's fact.

I'm not saying I hate him, but there is no doubt he fucked up.

  • I like Luke. It's just the Kenny fans are far more vocal about their love of him. I don't know what's so great about Kenny honestly. All he really has going for him is that he's a familiar face from season 1. He's clearly unstable, broken and has a temper. Everything has to be done his way. There's no reasoning with him and it's for those reasons Luke is much better IMO. Luke likes to think things through and do what's best for everyone.

But honestly all the Kenny love and the Luke VS Kenny thing, it's so boring now. So I'm really hoping this big decision we have to make isn't choosing between Kenny or Luke. If it is then I'll definitely be going with Luke but I'd much rather go of with Bonnie and Mike at this point.

I like him since the very beginning, even with his few flaws. Nobody's perfect. :)

Honestly - I will probably shed a tear, if he will die.

  • It's up to how the player felt about it but it was intentional on the writers parts to include that yes, Kenny is becoming possessive over the baby. Luke was on edge for sure and shouldn't have started an argument over it, but it's not like it was just a random thought with no reasoning behind it.

He does apologize. After Bonnie leads Rebecca into the gift shop and the latter starts screaming, Luke apologizes. He does it again later on when Kenny calls him out on being angry over Jane leaving.

    and that's fact

Actually it does matter. Abandoning his group is way out of character for him, and him returning proves that. Did it sound like he might have left? Sure, but he didn't.

I'm not saying I hate him, but there is no doubt he fucked up.

Of course. I'm not saying he doesn't mess up or have any flaws. I just disagree that he wanted to leave Kenny when he explicitly states: "no one wants to leave Kenny, Clem."

  • I still like him okay. I don't think he's the devil because he slept with Jane at an inappropriate time.

  • I don't hate luke, I just don't like him. After how he treated Nick, and how reckless he is. I prefer kenny over him. Kenny has been through so much and the reason why he's like the way he is is because of Clementine. I'd say we owe him everything.

He lost his eye, sarita, matthew, walter and his ski lodge because of us.

  • And you sir seem to have more balls then most men on the forum for admitting that. I appreciate the honesty.

  • I like Luke he's making it hard for me to keep liking him. "Hey Luke watch out for walkers k?" "Ok" turns around and has sex with Jane Kenny- We need to leave and find better shelter. Luke- No fuck you we need to stay and freeze here and get nothing accomplished. Kenny- Rebecca you're not looking so hot maybe I should hold the baby. Rebecca- No it's fine I'm ok. Kenny- Are you sure? Luke- Lay off Kenny she don't need your help!

If there is a kenny and luke choice I have always thought kenny but now that I REALLY think about it I don't know who I'm gonna pick. It's so hard , and I'm a HUGE kenny fan.

  • I like Luke. He's made his share of mistakes and poor choices, but then again so has Kenny and Lilly. Luke did screw up with trying to rescue the group from Carver and with his 'romp' with Jane. But he's always cared for his group and looks after Clementine in a kind of big brother way. Not to mention he's not as impulsive as Kenny is.

Kenny is another character that I like just as much as Luke. The difference is that he IS impulsive and has an obvious temper. But he is also very, if not more protective of the group and is something of a surrogate parent to Clementine. Let us not forget how he took a savage beating from Carver for her.

Lilly is kind of in the grey for me. She is strong, but her need for control clouds her judgement and her temper is far worse than Kenny's. She obviously gets that from her father.

  • I actually like Luke, but I couldn't care less if he dies. The main priority right now is Clem.

  • It's funny that this wouldn't have dared been posted when dislikes still existed.

Anyway, I like Luke to the point that I don't want him to die. But his frequent bickering and disagreeing with Kenny really do sometimes turn me against him. I'm a Kenny fan.

  • I still love Luke, I'd be heart broken if he died...

Even in saying that, just because I love him, doesn't stop me from making jokes about Luke and Jane haha...

  • Nick and Kenny are awesome.

  • To me Luke is the safest choice. With someone like Kenny he's just to unstable. I care about him but after Ep. 4 it's hard to see him in the same way, same goes for Luke about Ep. 4. But I NEVER liked Lilly. I understand where she was coming from the whole season, but I still didn't like her.

    Just kidding...probably...

  • I like both Luke and Kenny. I realise they've both made mistakes but if I had to choose, it would be Luke as he seems more stable, and I think he regrets what he did with Jane, putting people in danger and he would have second thoughts if a similar situation were to arise again. Kenny's behaviour is far to erratic for my liking.

People seem to forget, that Kenny was Lee's friend, not Clementines. Correct me if I'm wrong but season 2 was the first time Kenny and Clementine interacted with each other properly, and even if they knew each other longer, than Clem has known the cabin group, they don't have a strong relationship with each other apart from loss. Although Clem and Luke got off to a bad start, I feel that their friendship, to Clementine, has a stronger foundation.

I don't want to seem like I'm against Kenny because I actually do like him, I just want to clear up my thought on the beating. A lot of people have said that Clementine should stick with Kenny because he took a beating for her and this shows he is protecting her, but I just want to say that I don't think Kenny knew he was in for a beating in the first place. However, I do feel like he covered for Clementine just in case something happened, as he didn't want her to get hurt, but Carver did say something on the lines of 'if I don't have the walkie back by the count of three, something bad's gonna happen', and Kenny did give it back in that time period, perhaps expecting to get away with it. I'm not saying it wasn't a brave thing of Kenny to do, because it was, I'm just saying that I don't think Clem should stay with Kenny out of gratitude or guilt, if it's not going to help her to survive. And now Kenny has the baby to protect I feel that he will be putting Clem's safety second. For me, if I do have to pick, I'd feel incredibly bad about leaving Kenny behind, but I feel like she would be safer with Luke, especially now with Kenny's obsession with protecting the baby.

He doesn't blame Kenny for having sex. He blames firstly himself, as he apologises, then the world for being fucked up.

He abandoned the group in order that he wouldn't be kidnapped by Carver, so he could save the group.

If he wanted to abandon the group, he wouldn't have gone across a state on foot and snuck into a camp to find them.

In episode 3 he says he doesn't want to leave people behind. But he states they might have to. Which is true.

And then asked Clem how she was.

Both of which are more than what Kenny does to 99% of players in episode 4.

  • I still like Luke, despite his immaturity at a important time. Though I still have a greater connection with Kenny so I tend to be biased with him.

  • Luke is one of my favorite characters of the season. He keeps screwing up, but so do many other characters. I think kenny is more popular because he has time on his side.
Now that doesn't mean I hate kenny in order to like him. If people don't like luke, it's fine, but i certainly do.

I really like Luke!!! Even tho he's an idiot sometimes. xD So much so I wrote a fanfic recently about him and Clem (not being romantic, eww) resolving some of their issues from ep 4. :3 But seriously there's a lot more to him than we can see I think, and I really hope we find out more about him next episode.

  • I like Luke a lot more than I did at the beginning of season two, if that means anything.

  • edited August 2014

What do you mean she saved them from bandits? I was trying to hash out some terms with them when she randomly decided to shoot one of them in the head and start a shootout <_<

I don't think the idea to abandon Lilly really compares because the situations were very different. It was more of a heat of the moment kind of thing with Kenny. His wife and child just got tackled by a walker and the place was getting swarmed.

  • I still like all the characters in the group, but I just don't feel as strongly attached to them right now... it feels like the more Clementine drifts away from the members of her group, the more I drift away too...

  • I'll admit that I have liked Luke less with every passing episode, but I don't really see any reason to hate the guy. Definitely reasonable for people to like Luke, not sure why anyone would argue otherwise.

  • I like Luke. He seems to genuinely care about Clem, and is a good guy, so I really don't see why anyone would dislike him...

  • I'm in a neutral position with him.

  • That's exactly how I feel right now. After Ep. 4 season 2 I felt so detached from them all. I still like Luke but after this episode I just felt bleh. I personally think that Ep. 4 was just not written very well at all..
