We still don't even have Ep. 4, not to mention Ep. 5. Telltale is being seriously unprofessional towards their Kindle customers. Warning to Kindle owners: it's not worth it to buy the Kindle versions. Buy the PC or Xbox/PS versions instead.
It does run really great on the Kindle Fire HDX. It's impressive. The frame rate is really high. It looks beautiful and movement is very fluid. The QTEs are much more intuitive than doing them on a keyboard. Everything is great, except for the customer service. TTG needs to learn to treat their customers equally. Just because we're a small portion of their customer base, doesn't make us less important. We still all pay the same amount for the game as other platforms. Therefore, I think we're entitled to the same amount of communication. I'm sounding like a broken record, but it's really aggravating. They really need to release these episodes and I hope that they release both at the same time. I don't want to have to wait another 2 months for the finale.
It's a shame really on my kindle fire hdx the game ran excellently and the fight scenes ran so smooth the controls were brilliant as well, t… morehe graphics are absolutely superb in my opinion one of the best ports and it's on the go cmon telltale bring them out!

Yeah exactly my point the game is smooth like the pc and looks great and DATes are brilliant even better it's on the go tell tale really needs to sort them selves out at least say they're working on it!

Yep. It's August 6th right now. Ep. 4 came out for everyone else by May 30th. So ridiculous. Telltale has the worst customer service. I wrote them a very complimentary review on Amazon for TWAU. I gave them 5 stars and raved about the game. I'm considering changing my rating at this point (and it's one of the more "helpful" reviews, so a lot of people see it). I spoke too soon, it seems. This isn't a way to get returning customers, Telltale.
I was told that Amazon's app store has nothing to do with it. That it's Telltale who has to convert it for Kindle. I don't think this is Amazon's fault. They just offer the marketplace for it. It's up to Telltale to actually give them the episode.
I looked at the game today on my Kindle. On the main menu, at the bottom, it said "Episode 5: Cry Wolf is now available". I had never noticed this before. Do other Kindle users have this same notification on the main menu? Was it there before and I just missed it? Anyways, I checked under "Episodes" and it still says "Coming Soon!" (with that annoying exclamation point) next to both Ep. 4 and Ep. 5. So, I went back to the main menu and clicked on the new notification about Cry Wolf and it brought me to the Telltale homepage. So, I don't know what all this means. I force stopped my game and I got the same results. I'm reluctant to try clearing the game data because I'm pretty sure that's my saved games. Mainly, I was just curious if anyone else had this new notification on their game.
Wow, you guys should seriously get complimentary ice cream sandwiches from Telltale for waiting THIS long for episodes 4 and 5 on Kindle. A lot of you must be pulling your hair out by now. :S
Oh hey what do you know I got this to! No in my playtime this notification has never appeared so it's either a glitch or something else hopefully a positive sign..

nothing yet and no word from the developers or mods , at this point we should start requesting chargebacks from our banks , the amount of time is not even the problem but the lack of interest and information from telltale is
Not pulling my hair out yet just fed up with the company be so unprofessional and not giving any of us answers or responses. As a paying customer I expect some respect and support from a company but when you don't even respond to anyone than you start feeling like this company doesn't care about their customers, when we are the ones that pay money for purchases and they use that money for expanding their company,to make new games, etc.
I feel like we are being ripped off even though we don't know exactly the reason why Telltale been unresponsive.
I don't know I am just beyond fed up and extremely disappointed in the company.

I've deleted my Facebook 're view actually and left a comment. Think messaging them on Fbook with a link to this thread and a little explanation would get a response?

The moderators don't work for Telltale (we're just volunteers who give a little bit of our free time to help around the forums), so unfortunately we don't know anything about Telltale's plans for releases. But, myself or another mod will do our best to keep this thread updated with news for the release for Kindle once it happens.
The latest news is that Telltale is still working on episode 4 and 5 for Kindle, and they're working on finding a fix to the message that erroneously states that episode 5 is available for Kindle when it's not. It's not much, but at least they've acknowledged that they haven't forgotten about the Kindle platform.
Telltale's still a medium sized company, so it takes a while for them to port and test games for each of the platforms on which they release their games, and Android based platforms are still new to them so it's going to take a while to get used to the environment (iOS releases also lagged quite a bit behind the other releases when Telltale first started on that platform, but they've improved since then as they've become more used to the platform, so hopefully that will happen in the future for the Android based platforms too).

I know that moderators are just volunteers, so I get that it's not your fault or responsibility to tell us. I appreciate that you're willing to do what you can to keep us updated. As for that notification on the main menu, it's gone now. It was only up for like a day or two. They fixed it pretty quickly. I just wish that they could give us Eps. 4 & 5 as quickly. ;-) It's unfortunate that they're taking this long because even if there is the possibility of them improving their wait times for the Kindle (like you said they did with iOS), I still don't think I want to chance it in the future. This has been the most frustrating gaming/Kindle experience I've ever had. I've purchased everything else from Telltale for my PC, so I'll just stick to PC from here on out. It's too bad because Kindle could use some good games. It's just not worth it to me though. Anyways, thanks for responding to Kindle users. It's nice that at least the volunteer mods (who aren't paid) are willing to communicate with us, even if the people we paid aren't willing to. :-)

I guess. I like your positive attitude. You must be a "glass half full" type of person. :-) I'm more of a Negative Nancy. Lol. I'll try to acquire some of your optimism. I suppose it's healthier than my attitude. Fingers crossed that we get the episodes before September.
Given how the three things I'm looking forward to come out in November (DA:I WoD and the next gaunts ghosts book if any ones interested) sorta tempted to say then haha. For a pessimist I'm pretty optimistic. Glad to have heard something though.

Haha thanks I just stay hopeful and positive! Better to think they're working on it than them hardly doing anything about it! Yep it's always good to stay positive especially when we are all quite annoyed about this! Yeah September would be good maybe once they get the walking dead out of the way they will probably have a better understanding of what kindle needs to run on and they will probably bring it to android too.

Since kindle runs on an android engine you will most likely get it once it has been finished on kindle which at this rate could be at the end of this year
How far behind in TWD is android per episode? A month out per one? We're going on fourth months beind. (Is,on Kindle and forgets what that's classed as) surely. It'd be better to have taken turns? Though when they've ported TWD TWAU should happen faster I hope.
It's was about 3 weeks or maybe 2 and a bit.Yeah once they finished the walking dead they'll want to finish the wolf among us on kindle (android) once they finish it on kindle they'll just port it over to android as they are on the same engine but I don't think they'll release it on android until they finish it because they'll just get a lot more hate for a slow release. They have acknowledged that they are still working on it so it's the waiting game now, sorry.

I'm sorry, I don't want to be rude, but I hope you guys release your mistake now. This has been a problem with Telltale for a while now. You guys should just start playing their games on other platforms.
The Kindle OS is android based but proprietary. My guess is they'll do google etc. first because there are probably / possibly more general android users / users with rooted semi-proprietary android devices (like kindles for instance) than strictly Kindle/Fire TV users.

What's the point of your post? Neener neener I told you so? None of us have done anything wrong or stupid. Unless you personally warned everyone reading / posting to this thread that buying Telltale games on a new platform was a terrible idea your only function here is passive aggressive trolling. It doesn't even reach actually being rude levels of interaction because it's so limp and passive.
We purchased in good faith and while Telltale's definition of 'coming soon' sure differs from mine and presumably everyone else's who has posted to or read this thread that doesn't necessarily make them 'wrong' either. Until / unless they fail to deliver the rest of the game.
So no I'm not going to only buy Telltale products on non-Kindle platforms because Random Internet Expert (tm) admonishes me to do so well after the fact. So weird.

How was I supposed to know that Telltale would take this long? I had never purchased a Telltale game for my Kindle before. They just recently started offering them. I have bought several Telltale games for my PC already. I wanted to try something new and I trusted Telltale to handle it well. It's not like the Kindle has been offering Telltale games for a long time and that it was a well-known issue. If that were the case, I'd say you were right, but it's not the case. We're some of the first people discovering this issue because it's a new thing. The fault doesn't lie with the customer, it lies with the company that offered a game on a platform that it wasn't prepared for. There was nothing to indicate that Kindle would be handled any differently than other platforms. There was no warning. Trust me, I would have heeded the warnings had I known.
I'm sorry, I don't want to be rude, but I hope you guys release your mistake now. This has been a problem with Telltale for a while now. You guys should just start playing their games on other platforms.
No offense, but how would taking your "advice" help us at this point? We've already paid for the game. Your "advice" is kind of a day late and a dollar short. It doesn't help. It's just rubbing in our faces what we're already well aware of. We bought the game around April or so, well before anyone knew how bad Telltale would handle the Kindle as a platform. Most of us figured it would be handled the same as iOS. Getting your "advice" in the middle of August doesn't change anything for us. That's just the truth of the matter.

August and still nothing?
I know I keep saying it, but I'll never pre-buy a Telltale Game on Kindle ever again. This is insane!
Agreed. It's unfortunate because the game runs so well on the Kindle Fire HDX, but it's just not worth being months behind everyone else.
Hopefully. With TWD out of the way we get them before they start S3 though that might be too logical.
Yeah exactly my point the game is smooth like the pc and looks great and DATes are brilliant even better it's on the go tell tale really needs to sort them selves out at least say they're working on it!
