I started smoking at 13, so once she's older than that (maybe in a future season), I can't get preachy about her smoking without being a hypocrite.

  • Smoking at 13 is bad for you.

  • Lee: "DON'T EAT THAT!"

    Duck: -Keeps eating-

Starved for Help was saying that. I still miss that dumb little kid, though :(

What does that mean? Are you trying to say Duck was brain damaged? Lol

  • Pete never let Clem smoke, so I turned down that cigarette in his memory. Had a sip of rum, though. In Nick's memory, of course...

  • agreed, a very!!! small sip of alcohol won't hurt an 11 year old, but smoking, no fucking way, that shit shouldn't even be done by adults

Smoking is bad. But taking a little sip of that rum wouldn't do her harm. I'm sure a lot of children do it, ask their parents if they can

  • Because it makes them less efficient as survivors

    Opinion.

Cool formatting, bro. I'll tell you what should stop you from getting drunk during the apocalypse: your drunken ass stumbling and getting eaten by zombies who are more agile than you.

  • Nobody but Kenny seemed to mind either 0_0

  • It's a game. if it would be a real zombie apocalypse and if you were in this situation then "Clementine" would know what to do. and even if she tried, would'nt she be smart enough to not do it again?

  • The drinks are alright, as long as she isnt getting drunk or anything, it wont effect
her, however the smoking is a bad choice, Clem will get addicted to Nicotine and will make her desire more, and smoking at a young age could easily cause damage to someone who's brain is still developing.

  • Smoking? No! No point in starting lung cancer that early. I don't think anyone should smoke. But drinking is different. A little sip here and there. Give them a taste of it can't hurt anyone. I think its fine in very tiny doses and never on a regular basis. Even outside of a zombie apocolypse it should be ok. But especially Clem who has been through so much shit and has had to kill people... I think a tiny bit of a drink would be fine. Just the little bit to make her cough is the line though.

Should never let it escelate like this Click here

  • I'm 31 and never have touched a cigarette. I think most people are referring to the drinking.

I'm 17 And I haven't smoked in my entire life and I'm proud of it. So not everybody has to try it... I never will.

  • Study after study indicates that drinking, smoking or doing drugs while you're still developing is exponentially worse than doing the same as a full grown adult.

I'm scared of what will come of this/next generation.

It's a fact, I had my first drink at 14, I'm sure this/next generation will drink even younger.

That character has bad genes to begin with, did Walter get cancer from smoking? Since cancer is also genetic and can run in the family. Smoking is ok if Clem was bit older like maybe 15 or 14, but even then when she tried not a big deal rlly, she wont get addicted like that

  • No, because Thug Life.

  • as CrazyGeorge pointed out. Everyone in the game is fine with treating Clem as an adult when they need her help with something. Yet in this they treat her like a kid.

Well, she's still 11... No matter how much you hate Kenny, at the end of the day, he didn't want Clem drinking while everyone else was perfectly cool with it.

  • Thats not my point though. Excessive even for adults is bad. I'm not a professional or anything but Walter has straight up cancer. Smoking adds more risk of lung cancer... Different types of cancer right? Too much of even good things can be bad and smoking and drinking isn't exactly good for you. Walter made his son drink until he was throwing up. You shouldn't be doing that even as an adult!

  • I learned its always disgusting. I tried my first beer when I was 18 (/shrug living in heavily Mormon and being raised that anything fun is bad would do that to ya) and I hated the taste so much I could never imagine getting drunk. Maybe I'm weird but I never acquired the taste as people said you do. Every time i drink I feel like I'm drinking pure ass. Cannot stand it. Then again I can't even stand the smell of Coffee.

Haha, you'll learn otherwise when you're a bit older :P

  • .... But quick enough to have everyone do everything for them and watch Kenny beat Carver to death.

No, she may have grown up quickly, but not so quick that she can smoke and drink at the age of 11.

What is the point of surviving if you can't live a little? And this is coming from someone who hates smoking and drinking.

  • It would be pretty interesting, if you let Clem smoke/drink you might see her smoking and drinking without giving you a choice.

  • I wish Bonnie would have shared a cigarette to my Clem.... Sounds so much nicer than blaming me for Luke's death while, being factually responsible for it.
