What Noble house banner would you want to live under?
I like the Martells. Living far away from the north and all the action at king's landing. Not sure what happens to them since Im only half way through a feast for crows. I like how much freedom their society has compared to the others.
The Iron Born are also pretty bad ass minus reek/Theon. Not to sure about the drowning aspect though lol. Im more of a passive guy so I would proably fit in better with the Martells.
Use to be a stark fan but now I just feel bad for them. They live a hard life.

Not Stark that's for sure xD.
Martell would probably be the easiest life out of all of them. And they're pretty badass too.
Martell or Tyrells, I'd have to say.
The Starks. Ned Stark was the rightful air to the throne anyway. The only Lanister that I like is Tyrion. The rest can burn.
How was Ned the rightful heir? One of the last things he wanted was to be king.
Gotta admit, if I were in the GoT universe... I would probably be a Tyrell bannerman.
If I had my pick, I'd stay happy and well-fed in Highgarden.
There is no rightful heir, really. The rightful heir is whoever takes the throne.
Greyjoy all the way. (Minus all the raping of course.)
Depends on how you look at it. Daenerys has the Targaryen claim to the throne, and due to Robert not having any royal sons of his own, rule of succession states that Stannis is the rightful heir.
Well how did the Targaryens get the throne? They killed everyone who opposed them and built it.
How did Robert claim the throne? He killed the Targaryens and took it.
So the way I see it, Tommen has just as much a claim to it as anyone else. Whoever is the last one standing is the rightful heir.
Stannis the Mannis should be king by rights. But I'm betting the farm on King Bronn of the Blackwater. ;-)
hodor
The Starks!
Be as honorable and as short-lived as a Stark? Or be as rich and as dysfunctional as a Lannister?
I guess I'll go with the Tyrells, the house have the good qualities of both, rich and warm to their families.
House Lannister, if for anything it's their house song, you can never beat the Rains of Castamere
House Tyrell, as it controls the most fertile lands of Westeros of course
Would be a better King than the last 4 for sure.
Definitely Tyrell. They're the second richest House in Westeros. Plus, Olenna knows how to play the game of thrones quite well.
The King himself wanted/asked Ned to take is place as king. Watch season 1. The Lanisters have no legitimate right to the throne except the right they give themselves. The Starks really should be the royal family that rules the kingdom.
Robert asked Ned to be regent until Joffrey came of age.
Regent, king, close enough for me. Especially with that monster (Joffrey) in mind.
Bolton! ha no but
I dunno, You die with the starks, get burned under stannis, get burned with danerys, drown under grejoys,
I guess the martells are cool
Tyrells or Martells
Taking the question literally.. House Piper. Who needs porn when you can just look at your surcoat?
Seriously? Tyrell. They may be a bunch of fops, but they rule over the best land in Westeros.
Tyrells. They're super rich, they have all the food, the largest army, one of the largest navies, and rulers who know what the hell they're doing (excluding Mace...). Plus I like green.
Exactly!
House Arryn, I like mountains
I'd be fighting for House Baratheon of Dragonstone before I appease the southern scum that plagues King's Landing (but in all seriousness I'm with House Tyrell).
As much as I'd want to fight for the rightful King Stannis Baratheon, I'm not a fan of the Lord of Light... I'd be one of Varys' littlebirds, because he looks after them... unlike Littlefinger.
Definitely not the House of Reyne or Tarbeck in their last years.

Are we talking member of the family, bannerman, or peasant?
As a bannerman or family member in the era of the book? The Martells. Far, far away from the North and the Others. Largely isolated from Westerosi politics, though of course I'm sure that's going to change in a big way soon. Also, Doran seems like a pretty reasonable guy, all things considered.
Living under the Tyrells might be nice, but my suspicion is that their connection with the Lannisters is going to make them suffer in a big, big way before the series is out. I wouldn't want to be standing within a hundred miles of House Lannister before this series is over, including being one of its allies.
Now, as a peasant, life under the Tyrells might be better than elsewhere.
The worst lot would be to be a peasant under House Tully. Those poor bastards.
Greyjoy. Because pillaging is fun. Also you don't take shit from anyone. Plus, polygamy.
Nobody gives you anything, you have to take what you want. You make your own rules, and do not bow your head because some fucker with a dragon says so
When "some fucker with a dragon" arrived last time, the Ironborn turned into obedient chickens. Remember Harren the Black?
And, salt-wives are trophies the Ironborn get, effectively sex slaves. Polygamy, however, means that you actually have several wives, which pretty different.
Being a peasant in Westeros is not only hard, but can be often lethal. I know I wouldn't want to be a peasant in ASoIaF.
But things especially suck for the Riverland peasants. They have the misfortune of being smack dab in the middle of the Stark/Lannister war. So anytime you hear about the Mountain and his gang going around and razing villages, it's always the Riverlands. They're also right next to the goddamn Greyjoys so whenever the Ironborn are feeling bored, guess who's door they're knocking on? Other peasants are at least away from the systematized raping and pillaging. Tyrells are probably the best off because the weather is nice there, it's where all the food comes from, and the leadership isn't actively warring with anyone.
They especially suck for everyone who is a peasant. You, or your life means nothing to the people above you in social hierarchy. If you die of a disease or old age - thank whatever gods you believe in that you died of your own accord and not because of the will of some knight/lordling/whatever-their-title-is.
I won't argue about the Riverlands, though. Their lands, being effectively in the center, suffer the most out everyone else. That doesn't disprove the fact that every peasant has a chance to get raped, pillaged, and murdered (if they are lucky, in that very order) in their life.
Well of course none of the nobles actually care about the peasants. People barely care about members of their own families in that world. But if Margaery's actions at King's Landing's orphanages and Olenna's speech to Tyrion is any indication, at least the Tyrells actively try to keep their peasants happy. I mean, they're obviously doing it for political reasons and to keep them from revolting, but at the end of the day, it's still good for the peasants.
Well, it makes a lot of sense for Tyrells and the Reach nobles due to their lands relying on farms and homesteads a great deal. They do have a good reason to keep them happy, but, at the end of the day, that doesn't mean they cannot be used for sinister purposes or for a noble's sick amusement. They still hardly give a damn about them (well, maybe Margaery is just a kind soul, who is an exception to the general rule) and are mostly forced to appease them from time to time to keep them obedient.
Harren the black refused to bow his head and got killed. And since then the Greyjoys have been plotting on rebellion.
I didn't say they would've refused to take shit from the fuckers with dragons and lived to tell te tale. The position taken is what matters, not the outcome
EDIT: Also the Ironborn were the only ones that actively required the use of a dragon in battle, instead of just run for cover at the mere menace of it
