  • I like horror movies a lot.

    • Insidious Part 1 and 2

    • The Conjuring

    • The Haunting in Connecticut

    • Sinister

    • Final Destination

    • Saw

    • The Amityville Horror

    • The Uninvited

    • Case 39

    • Silent Hill

    • The Awakening

I enjoy mostly realism and music, although it's hard to find movies that contain both.

  • I watched this horror film 'A Serbian Film'. DO NOT WATCH IT. The worst thing is now that i've seen it I can't unwatch it. If anyone ever suggests watching it never talk to that person again and run away!

  • Me and my friends read the description once...that was enough internet for that day.

My buddy forced me to watch 'The Human Centipede' Yeah....nope. Nope, nope, nope! lol

I also like Saw, Nightmare on Elm street, Shining, Silence of the Lambs, just to name a few. :)

  • Nightmare on Elm street - ive seen the first 3 films but had to call it quits cause the dreams were grossing me out but the ones that I saw was great. I saw the 2010 remake as well, I enjoyed it a lot. The shining was a fantastic film, the only film that really scread me was sinister, no I don't plan to see it again I find that was really disturbing I had nightmares about that film for a week afterwards.

I will take your word for it but a lot of the trailers now days show to much of the film. and while that not so bad for films for horror film it makes the scares less enjoyable. That's why it comes to horror films I only watch the first trailer I don't watch the rest.

  • exactly, there is not point watching horror films if you seen to much, there is just no sense or jumping when you realise something is going to appear.

Yeah everyone has. It was recently done with THE AMAZING SPIRDER-MAN 2. I won't give you spoilers just in case you haven't seen or not planning to see that film but for people who did watch the trailers to that film that last shot of the film was shown in the trailers. The marketing for that film was not good.

  • I don't really consider many horror movies to be my favorites but here are some I really enjoyed though:

    1: Scream

    2: Insidious and Insidious 2

    3: The Conjuring

4: A Nightmare on Elm Street

    5: The Possession

    6: The Exorcist

7: Carrie (Sissy Spackek version. Chloe Moretz version was alright too.)

8: The Shining (Stanley Kubrick Version)

    9:The Evil Dead

10: Night of the Living Dead

  • There was a trailer that showed the whole movie essentially

well ok then give an example.

  • I was gonna see Annabelle, but then I learned of some of the director and screenwriter's other works, so I'm a little bit skeptical.

  • Out of all of these, Chucky was one of the most terrifying movie's I've ever seen. Just the first one, the others were kinda meh, but the first one was absolutely terrifying as a child. :O

My favorite horror movies/film series are: Halloween: Friday the 13th: Nightmare on elm street: Leprechaun: Child's play:

  • Also, COOL FACT!

Warwick Davis from the movie Leprachuan played an Ewok in a Star Wars movie. He attends Star Wars weekends almost every year at Disney World in Orlando. It's basically a big Star Wars nerdfest with actors and writers and developers from the Star Wars universe. When my family goes on Star Wars weekends, we always stay in the same hotel as him and his family! I remember walking behind him when he was checking out of our hotel, I was like, HOLY CRAP thats Warwick Davis!

My favorite horror movies/film series are: Halloween: Friday the 13th: Nightmare on elm street: Leprechaun: Child's play:

  • Oh man, Child's Play. That brings back memories lol

I was planning to watch it cuz I thought people were pussies and couldn't handle fake snuff films but that other description just... just really turned me away.

  • love zombie movies, but I don't even consider them horror movies. love saw series.

  • Oh, #2 was so awful! I recommend the entire series save for that one! Especially the final one. It cracked me up!

I enjoyed Freddy vs. Jason too, despite being somewhat underwhelmed.

My current favorites are The Dead and The Dead 2: India. Can't wait to see what those Ford Brothers do next!

Nightmare on Elm street - ive seen the first 3 films but had to call it quits cause the dreams were grossing me out but the ones that I saw

  • agreed the 2nd was horrible

What are your fav horror movies? were there any that you love watching with friends and just trying to scare each other. Or just by yourself? And what do you enjoy when it comes to a horror film?

My favorites would have to be

    • Audition (possibly one of the best psychological horrors I've ever seen)
    • Jacob's Ladder
    • The Devil's Backbone
    • Session 9
    • Ginger Snaps (excellent Canadian horror film)
    • Kissed (not exactly horror, but still very interesting)
    • Re-animator
    • From Beyond
    • Near Dark
    • The Thing
    • In the Mouth of Madness (love the ending)
    • The Seasoning House
    • Irreversible (also not horror, but still great)
    • I Spit on Your Grave (original and the 2010 remake was good, too)
    • Phenomena
    • The Beyond
    • Threads (horribly, depressingly realistic)
    • Black Mirror S02E02 - White Bear (not a horror movie, I know, but the concept is incredible)

I love watching "In the Mouth of Madness" with friends because it's so fun to see their reaction at the end, and the discussion that follows tends to be very interesting. Watching "Jacob's Ladder" alone is also quite fun, as a form of study, anyway (the Silent Hill games are full of references to it). Mostly I enjoy the special effects of horror films (as in, not CGI nonsense) because it shows some incredible artistry and imagination from their designers (e.g. Stan Winston). But also, I've been fascinated with human consciousness and the concept of death since I was a kid (I used to watch the Disney's 1929 The Skeleton Dance a lot whenever I could rent the video it came on), and horror movies have had some great things to say about the whole idea.
