  • aw man i thought everyone would.

    Not really. Sorry.

  • Well the children seemed VERY young, like an age where the are easily impressionable and dont question a lot. If she was doing this to middle schoolers or high schoolers I would less upset about her methods as they would be smart to not do it. Young children dont know what theyre doing, they are just doing what they are told. I doubt after her experiment was over she told them what they did was wrong or if she did she did it in a way to make them feel insignificant.

yeah it could have made them racist. that's a possibility but i think some kids are smarter than that.

  • yeah it probably did effect them in someway but i started getting into race or rather being aware of it when i was about 8.

  • How did you get into it?

  • well when i was 8 i saw the boondocks for the first time.
    Alt text

i saw it and it just opened my eyes so much and that's when i started being really proud to be black. i mean there never was a time when i wasn't but when i saw the boondocks it made me really appreciate it. I saw huey and all the things he would say and do. i wanted to be him. i started growing an afro(didn't really work that well) and wearing hoodies just like him. he talked about the black panthers sometimes and that's what i wanted to be. I wanted to be black panther i think i even told my parents.

so yeah race was brought to my attention by a t.v. show.

How did you get into it?

  • I honestly have never seen that show. What is it about?

  • that's the god damn point and it's a metaphor like this guy says. Either you're really, really slow or just trolling.

The eye thing is representing how it was like back then and now, secretly. She abandons that eye scenario and sticks straight to the point if that's what you mean.

Just stop, read the replies and try to think differently. Not trying to sound rude, but direct.

I just dont like to have arguments/debates with someone and leave on a bad note. Its something personal.

  • um..thanks?

It WAS a metaphor then it she went direct, she did that in the first ten minutes. It went from ill separate these two groups to lets yell at white people for being racist and lets kick out people with different opinions than me then call them racist.

I dont need to conform to your opinion just because youre yelling at me that im wrong. You are using her way of teaching, that became shockingly clear when you asked if I was slow for disagreeing with you.

Ive read all the replies and I DO NOT think I need to change my opinion! You need to become more acceping of others, do NOT say I have a disability because I have a different opinion.

I CAN NOT believe some peoples attitude towards differing opinions on these forums!

hey man this forum is crazy i've learned that.

  • It's not your opinion, it's the way you think. I state why she does the thing you stated and explained it a little yet you continue on recycling your replies saying she's wrong. She's right, regardless of what you say and think. Nobody disagrees with her just light hearted people who get offended over everything.

If you're literally the only one who sees a problem with these, you should start to realize that the way you're thinking is in the wrong.

  • My opinion is my way of thinking. She IS wrong in the way she tackles the issue. If she had actually did the original scenario and showed racism through that I wouldnt complain or when tackled race directly, DIDNT call every white person a racist or anyone who didnt completely agree with her opinion a racist, I would be fine. However she did, you also cant say no one disagreed because in the video it states MANY people had problems with her way of thinking.

A LOT of people see a problem with this, however since only you, me, and Duck are arguing about this it seems like im the minority. I do not need to change my opinion on this woman's practices to comform to YOUR way of thinking.
