Both of you please, lets just stop this. This thread has gone away from the very topic we were talking about. If you want to carry on, do it in a private message, ok?

  • Ok, I get it, my opinion is unwanted. Fine.

I'm simply telling him not to insult people. I'm not looking to start a fight with him, I just ask for him to be respectful.

  • No need for that, I'm leaving.

I'm sorry, actually. You know, I just get very angry very fast, and then I do things I might later regret.

This is one of the times, so sorry for derailing your thread, it just happens to me sometimes.

If the insults like what EpicMustacheGUy continue then yes, I will. I made this thread for people to be able to share their opinions, and it's been derailed by a religious discussion.

  • That's okay. Shit happens :)

Don't be like that. You opinion is welcome here. Just try and keep insults to a minimum :)

  • come on no need to put me on blast buddy. He wanted opinions and facts, so he got them lol. He should have known the discussion would bring religion into it before posting it. So the OP's the one to truly blame not me. plus Cope was the 1 who started the Religious debate, and then i continued it.

Well you can truly blame Rosemary for the whole religious thing.

I am very shocked that there is actually a handful amount of people in here who are against it. You're against homosexuality and against gay marriage? Well good for you. No one is forcing you to marry or love someone that's the same gender as you. Let people be who they want to be. It's not effecting you in any way. Why be against something that makes them happy? It doesn't harm you, anyone or anything in any way. Love is about love, not gender.

Two people who are happy with life, happy with who they are, what they are, and who they love. Isn't that all that matters?

  • Why be against something that makes them happy? It doesn't harm you, anyone or anything in any way.

This line is perfect. Can't express how much I agree with it.

  • No, thank you for that beautiful post.

    Thank you.

  • I identify as Roman Catholic, and hold strongly to many of its rules, HOWEVER, there are some things that I am unable to agree with. Like in Leviticus 18:22, where it's stated that a homosexual relationship is a sin and an abomination - I don't agree with it. If we are all God's children, and He loves us unconditionally, why would He make some of us homosexual, only to banish us to Hell? If you want to believe that it's a choice, then that's up to you, but I personally do not. It's not a disease, or a mental illness, or the Devil. It's nature. We see homosexuality happening in nature all the time, in cats, dogs, monkeys, dolphins - pretty much any living being that is capable of expressing love can express it with the same sex. I don't understand how something so sinful and wrong can occur in animals who aren't even aware of religion, or sin.

One of my best friends is homosexual. She is also Catholic. Has her family tried to "change" her to better fit God's "ideals"? Of course. Has she tried to "convert" people into becoming raging lesbians? Hell no. Why would she want to? That's her business. It's her life. She doesn't let anyone, even her own mother, tell her who to love and how. We're all the same inside. We're flesh and bone and meat and blood, like Jesus was. Why does it have to be our business who loves who? Can't we just be happy with the fact that we're loving at all, instead of wishing others harm? As long as they're happy, I have absolutely no problem. I applaud those who are comfortable with being who they were born to be.

    Keep being gay.

  • I realy dont care what you are honestly, be gay straight or whatever its not my problem, I have no problem with it. All the same as someone said some people being extreme about it seems to much for example gay pride parades seem out of place in modern day. Also Im not a fan of every form of media needing some form of gay charcater just to appear PC

If its not hurting anyone I dont care, same as for any other thing in the world, However if people want to dislike people for that reason thats there call too. Let people have whatever opinion they want, Im not in this mindest of forcing opinions or everyone to clap and sing songs, The world will never be like that.

  • That's fine, as long as you're not trying to discriminate against them, you can do as you like.

Convert was not the right word.
My point was, is that they seem to want to enforce their lifesyle on everyone around them.
That everyone should agree with it!
And if anyone dares to disagree with their lifestyle, they immediately resort to bigotry, labeling that person as homophobic, and treat the person as if they're evil.

Under the first amendment, we have the right to free speech; and freedom of beliefs.
But if anyone dares to cling to traditional values, which do not support homosexuality, and then dares to voice their beliefs, homosexuals immediately start verbally attacking that person, and treating them with contempt.
Thus trampling on that person's constitutional rights.

Homosexuals, claim to be open and tolerant, but that kind of behavior is anything but tolerant.
What that kind of behavior actually is, is bigoted and hypocritical.

You clearly haven't been around many gay people. They're trying to 'convert' you, seriously? Being gay isn't a choice, gay people know this, so trying to convert someone would be pretty redundant.

  • Gay people should totally not have any rights. Gay people are totally very disgusting. I think they should all totally be banished to hell. Gay people are totally the biggest sinners of this world and they should all totally be executed. I'm obviously not sarcastic when saying this. I totally think that gay people should not exist.

  • Gay people have all the rights as straight people. They shouldn't be banished to hell and nobody is saying that. Some people just don't support it. And they should exist, just like pedophilliacs and necrophilliacs exist too, they should have a right to live.

Uh... Okay? Well I accept gay people... They didn't harm me in any way... Everyone should be treated equally...

    -Myself

Lmao at people saying they don't want gay people to "convert" them. My cousin is gay, I know many gay people, and they sure as fuck aren't converting anyone.

Sexuality is not a religion or a lifestyle! You can't convert sexuality. If you're gay, straight, bi, whatever, you can't change that, you were born like that.

And one more father could never replace the love a child should get from his mother.

First of all, doesn't that EXACTLY describe a straight male Republican?

And one more father could never replace the love a child should get from his mother

There are many children who live perfectly happy, loving lives with two fathers. There are also many children who live their lives in an abusive, neglectful STRAIGHT household. How a family chooses to raise their children is not under your control. There's no reason why you should care, unless that child is yours, or the child of someone you know personally.

  • If we aren't supposed to care, why are we even discussing it? Why are we saying we are for/against gay people?
And you just judged every straight male republican based on your opinion while you're telling me I'm wrong for doing exactly the same thing.

Opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one.

  • We're discussing this because some people don't know when to keep their noses out of other people's business.

You have your opinion, yes, but you're bringing up arguments that you're unable to support.
