I have timed all of his deaths, if you cover him, if you help him and if you cover him and do nothing.
Cover him: He dies/ is passed out at 36 seconds.
Help him: You last see him alive before his model fades away at 40 seconds.
Cover him but do nothing: He passes out/ dies at 24 seconds.
This means he could still be alive. The reason I have been putting that he might have passed out is because on the help option he is last seen alive at 40 seconds which is longest time. This could just be that Telltale can't make all possibilities 40 seconds but it does mean that fans of Luke such as us can hope he is still alive.
I know how you feel, it's the worse feeling in the world. When Kenny 'died' in season 1, everyone told me I was in denial because I said he … morewas alive. I got told that for a year until his return in season 2 episode 2.
But this? This is different. Kenny had a chance of surviving. Luke? There's no way. He either drowned, got bit, or drowned some more. There's no way he coulda gotten out.

Yeah, and what I don't get is how did Bonnie get out and Luke didn't, she was in there for longer and if she is a smoker then surely Luke would have had a higher chance of surviving out of the two? That is why, I am keeping hope that Luke is still alive and in the cover Luke option he is just unconscious and will get out alive and make it into season 3!:D

Wha... what if this happened,
Luke swims/floats to shallow water, some people come to the lake for fresh water. They see Luke's body, one person wants to take his stuff while the other checks his pulse to see if he is alive. Luke still has a faint pulse, they set up a fire and warm him up. The next day he wakes up, after finding out what happens he goes to the house only to find the group isn't there.
This can happen right? Oh who am I kidding he's dead...
Because the plot demanded it? With this logic Bonnie should have died, but she didn't and what hole did she come out of? That's what confuses me the most. But yea Bonnie is just magically that's how she got out. :P
he is just unconscious
I did some research on this and it said if they have a blank look you have about 30 seconds to save them, so if someone finds him in 30 seconds Luke is alive, but he could get lucky and last longer than that

I would rather Bonnie died than Luke, I would rather have anyone (except Clementine and Aj) die than Luke. I hate the fact Telltale killed him off, especially since I had a feeling he would die in the last episode but I thought it would have been at the end of the episode and that him and Kenny would have been determinant depending on who you choose to save. It didn't make much sense from a story telling perspective to have Luke die and not have any of the choices you made between him and Kenny come into play in that episode because now, people will start to think 'so all those times I sided with Luke and he just dies anyway? I'm going to replay and side with Kenny now since my choices didn't affect Luke's relationship with me...' Barely any of the choices made in season 2 seemed to matter in the end but I really thought that the whole 'siding with Kenny or Luke' part would and that it was preparing us for the final episode, it didn't really make sense to me that they randomly threw Jane into the mix and created this tension with Kenny in the last episode, it just seemed to come from out of nowhere whereas the conflict between Kenny and Luke has been built up since episode 2.
I guess the only way Telltale can fix this problem for me is to bring back Luke:P

They could bring Luke back... as a walker. That's the only way I think they would let us see him again.
The only time your choice mattered with Kenny and Luke is when Kenny mentions the table choice in episode 5. It was a real let down, to not have a Kenny vs Luke choice. Also I'm still not over him, in fact I'm worse. So if they could bring him back, great if not then good.

[Deep movie trailer voice] From the game series that brought you classics like 'Surviving a gutshot from a rifle' to 'Walking around in the sewers with clearly no visible light source' and '9 year old drags 30 something male into a jewerly store without much help' comes a DLC you'd pay both your kidneys and your cousin's to get a hold of.

Screw it, I'd play that DLC! T_T GIMME!
Good Lord, don't even get me started with Nick! He was my favorite character of the season and what did he get? An off-screen, badly written death. Caught in barbed wire. That has got to be the most pathetic attempt at shock value I've ever seen.
Oh please, you people...you're not even trying! I could film a six-part documentary of the things they did wrong this season and each part being snuggly fit into a two hours long episode each. Top that! :P
Wow, Telltale made some extremely stupid decisions this season. I could literally write a list of everything they did wrong.
Thanks for the information though! Really interesting!
I sure as hell could've...so I could just, walk him around in circles on the spot and gaze upon his ass-I mean uh the angelic features of his booty-crap! I mean, not-oh forget it!
Being serious and ignoring the stupid humor, I could've seen it possible. We played as Bonnie remember, and she still was a character in herself regardless of what we had her say. There's a lot they could've done with him, and not because he has a fine booty like Jane.

I know Luke's chances of surviving are smaller than Kenny's were. But there has to be a way for him to get out...

Fingers crossed!
Don't forget to cross your toes as well, it could help with the luck.
Luke is kill.
I always thought Luke looked like Pewdiepie, and that kind of limited my ability to take his character seriously.

fuck off luke's alive you got that you little bitch?
(I'm just kidding, don't take my 12vie insults seriously)
GODDAMNIT LILAC
you is about to be kill if you don't shut the fuck up
I actually don't know if I'm allowed to post this or not
It was different. I was... Someplace else. Not on this forum.
If there was a way, then I would happily listen. Until then, Luke is sadly dead in my eyes.

Well remember that steam group was originally for that :P
I really wanted that as well At least Clem still has the hatchet he gave her.
I doubt it would happen.

Yea, it would never happen :P
I already mourned there, it's a shame it died out.

Luke confirmed for Season 2 DLC.
Oooooh yeaaaah! Yippee ki yay!
When I was playing season 2, I was sure that Luke would be the protagonist for season 3. I hate when I am wrong.
No one likes when they are wrong. I couldn't imagine Luke being the protagonist :P

I never post here, but I am joining this thread because I don't care if Luke comes back as a mermaid, JUST BRING HIM BACK TELLTALE.
I heard a rumor that the reason why Luke died was because of the whole Lexi Porter/Cluke bullshit but his death was pretty awful in my opinion
