Do you think Bigby is a villain/ bad person?

Abusing Toad in front of his son. Tearing off Gren's arm when it wasn't even necessary. Torturing Tweedle Dee/ Woodsman. Bullying Johann for no good reason and brutally murdering Dum when he could have just as easily let him go. I know this is all determinant but if chosen makes Bigby Telltale's ruthless character.

Yeah, he's bad. But sometimes, ya gotta do what ya gotta do in order to make your mark in Mundy society, y'know? Plus, a lot of people think being bad is sexy - Bigby being a perfect example.
Look at it this way: Bigby WAS the worst kind of villain before he met Snow White; afterwards he changed his ways and reformed so that he could essentially be what she deserved. However, Bigby is still a monster deep down and that will rise to the surface at times.
In the comics, Bigby does push people's buttons and get angry but very rarely does he lash out at people; the game gives us multiple choice because all of those choices are currently running through Bigby's head.
Basically Bigby is an anti-hero, he will do the right thing but not necessarily with the right methods.
Yeah, like you said it's all determinant. That's the fun part, his personality can vary a lot depending on you. I see Bigby more as a good guy, who sometimes gets out of control. Plus, there a lot of people much worse than Bigby in Fabletown.
He is a villain on the side of the angels basically; he's willing to do what others won't and that's why he can be seen as a villain, even though it's all for a good cause in the end.
He ain't a villain or a hero. He's a:
anti-hero: a central character in a story, movie, or drama who lacks conventional heroic attributes
Depends on how you play him.
There is still blatantly a lot of evil in him even Snow can say he enjoys it when things go wrong. He needlessly knocks the shit out of and abuses Fables, sometimes who have no affiliation to The Crooked Man whatsoever, seemingly for pleasure. Just because he's not a monster in physical form doesn't mean deep down he's not as bad as he once was.
If you really do the Big Bad Wolf thing, you can sometimes see how Bigby smiles (evil, really eeeevil) when he's called a monster or something like that. I just finished TWAU in like Super-Bad-Ass-Mode. I even hit Johann for absolutely NO reason. After you saw what's behind that door you can offer him protection or you respond "You're on your own now..." or smthg like that.
Yeah, well. I don't know. I enjoyed both, beeing good, and beeing bad... And I agree with those who think he's a anti-hero - cause for some fables he is, no matter what he does, he can never make everybody happy with his way of doing things.
You got a point in that - BUT: it all depends on how YOU actually play him...
And you can always do both: Caring for those who are helpless and can't defend themselfs, and showing no mercy to those who hurt others.
I don't think that he is all bad inside. He knows this side of him, and I think if he wasn't willing trying to control his "inner monster" he wouldn't have agreed to come to Fabletown for beeing the Sheriff.
And I was really mad when Snow brought this up, asking if he enjoys it when things go wrong... I mean I was really really pissed. So, in my opinion Snow isn't asking Bigby but Telltale is asking the PLAYER if he enjoys it when "The Big Bad Wolf" doesn't have to "act" like a sheep anymore.
(Reading this over and thinking: Does this make any sence? Hope you get it. Somehow.)
Well, it was an Option, a choice, you didn't really have to do it.
(I know there's a way, but I can't find out how. - In Episode 1, how can I get Toad to tell me what he knows without Tormenting him?)
Yup, pretty he's definitely an anti-hero.
Yeah, but I like how he never gives her a definitive answer per se; your choices are Silence (obviously), No I don't (possible truth), Let's keep this professional (dodging the question) and So what if I do (not really an answer as it doesn't signify much) In the comics, Bigby doesn't really go looking to make situations bad, he just sort of lets them play out and deals with them that way rather than trying to ensure that shit hits the fan (except during Jack of Fables in which Bigby DOES make shit hit the fan so that he can beat up Jack on 2 separate occasions)
You investigate the broken door, the broken lamp, the dust mark on the table, the marks on the windowsill, the blood on the wall and the bloody firepoker. Investigate them and select the dialogue options which call out Toad's lies, when you have called them ALL out, you will be given the option of threatening him or calling out his lies.
