I need your help, guys...

Hello everyone. I'm back. Most of you already know me for being active on the forums before. Those who don't... Well it's not that important to know me anyway. First off, I apologise for this being a huge wall of text. But please make sure you read it entirely. I'll just go on and tell you the reason I created this thread.

I'm posting this because I need your help.

I don't know what's going on... I've been having recurring nightmares, almost every night during the past week. The weird thing is that they happen every year or so. Last time I had recurring nightmares of this sort was in my second year of High School, and they also lasted two weeks or so. As of recently, they started happening again. The same dreams. Actually, they're not exactly the same by the events that go on in them, but they do share something in common.

There's always this boy, I'm guessing of my age, that keeps following me... Looking at me... And as of recently, talking to me.

Let me describe his appearance. He seems to be somewhere around my age (so 18, give or take a year) and around 180 to 185 cm tall. His eyes are green, somewhat hipnotising, and his hair is blonde. He usually wears a black hoodie and dark blue jeans. Sometimes, he's barefoot, and sometimes he's wearing black sneakers.
I can't really give you the dates of each dream I've had, but I can approximately write a year in which I've had them.

Second year of High Shool (2012./13.)

I can't remember all of them. But most of them were fairly similar, so it doesn't really matter. Of course, back then I didn't know who he was or how he looks like. That's why I'll be reffering to him as 'they' for now, until I get to the certain dream.

DREAM #1

I was standing in complete darkness. Weirdly though, I could see myself as if I was illuminated or something. It was quiet, and I wasn't sure what to do. I had a feeling someone was watching me the whole time. My brain screamed that I should hide, that I'm not safe here in the open. I had a feeling that whoever was watching me was going to get me, and they were going to get me soon. I tried running, I really did, but it felt as if some invisible force was keeping me from running. Then I felt as if someone or something was behind me.

I turned around. And what I saw... who I saw, actually... Was a person, simply standing there. I couldn't make out any features of their face, it was hidden by the black hoodie they were wearing.

I kept asking who they were. But I never got a reply. We just kept standing like that a few more minutes, until I was woken up by my alarm clock, which meant I had to get ready for school.

The next few nights I had the exactly same dream. I was really puzzled because of it, but I figured it would pass soon, so I just shrugged it off. I decided I wouldn't tell anyone about it, not like they would believe me anyway.
About a week later, though, things have changed.

DREAM #2

This time, the dream started right off the place it ended last time. I was looking at the person in front of me in complete silence. A few minutes later, they started chuckling. I was taken aback by that, of course. I asked him what's so funny, but he just kept chuckling.
See, one bad thing about me is that I lose patience really quickly. And this person in front of me was currently having a feast over my thin nerves. I suddenly yelled at them, asking them what was funny once again. And then they stopped chuckling.

Silence.

They then lifted their head to look at me. That was the first time I saw his face.
Those green eyes penetrated my soul with that angry look he was giving me. And I just stared at his eyes for a few moments. Then he smirked, as if he was enjoying my confusion.

I woke up right then. I remember it being exactly 3.00 in the morning. And I felt... weird. As if something was different, but I couldn't point my finger at it. I guessed it was just my mind reacting to a weird dream, so I just went back to sleep. He haven't come back after that, and I paid no mind to the dreams anymore.

That was two years ago. I honestly forgot all about him. I did tell my best friend about him though, but she told me that those dreams might have had something to do with the stress I was having due to schoolwork. I agreed with her and went on with my life. But unfortunately, good things never last.

He came back two weeks ago. Since these dreams happened recently, I'll try to recall as many details as I can, in case any of them'll carry any importance in the future.

Fourth year of High School (2014./15.)

DREAM #1 (I don't remember the exact date, I'll write them in later dreams though)

This dream was similar to the dreams I had two years ago. The only difference was that I woke up on the floor. When I got up, there he was. This time, he wasn't hiding his face. And he just kept looking at me with that annoying little smirk of his.

I was, of course, surprised; mostly because he was back just the way before he left. „You again“, I whispered, or maybe even thought; whichever it was it echoed in the darkness as if I said it loudly.

He grinned now. He was enjoying this. My confusion, frustration; it was all part of his fun.

Then he winked at me, and I jolted awake.

DREAM #2 (I think it was November 20 or 21, but don't take my word for it)

This dream was... Weird. Creepy, even. Not much happened, most of my dream was me crouching in a corner and him looking at me in the darkness that was surrounding us. He was smirking again, and seemed to look at me as if I was a great interest of his. Like he was studying me or something. He then slowly started to approach me, this was the first time I saw him move at all.

When he came close enough, he crouched too; we were at an eye level. He then smiled. I couldn't work out if it was a simpathetic smile or simply a mischevious one; he's very difficult to read.

He then put his hand over my eyes and I woke up once again.

I just had to tell a few of my friends about this. I ha a feeling that if I haven't, I'd start to lose my sanity... I was afraid to go back to sleep, I'd stay up till 2 or 3 in the morning, no matter if I had the morning shift in school or not. I thought that if I tell someone about the dreams they'd stop... But I was very, very wrong...

DREAM #3 (November 25, 2014)

Okay, I remember this dream as if really happened. It was all so... vivid. Not only that, but it was very different than the last ones; this time we were actually somewhere.

In the dream I was sitting in a bus in the back seat along with my friends, Mona and Matea. Though we weren't alone, sitting next to the window on
my left, one seat away from me was someone, wearing a black hoodie and just staring outside, so I couldn't see his face; but a part of me knew it was him. Stupidly enough, I thought nothing of it, and continued chilling with my friends. But things soon turned to be weird...

First thing that happened is that the sky turned red. Every one of my classmates in the bus (perhaps we were going on a field trip) came closer to the windows and commented the odd situation. Mona and Matea did the same, and I felt like something bad was going to happen. I figured I should call for help, but when I took my mobile phone out the display was covered in red static... I just stared at it and couldn't believe what was happening, I felt the urge to scream but I couldn't... And then I heard a chuckle coming from my left... I looked at the person next to me, and saw it really was him.

He was looking at me with an evil smirk and kept chuckling darkly. He stopped chuckling after a few seconds and came closer to me. Like, really close. His face was merely two inches away, and he moved closer to my ear and whispered something like, "Well, it seems the fun has finally started..."

He moved away with an evil grin plastered across his face. I turned to ask Mona and Matea for help, but they were gone... I panicked. The whole bus was empty. I turned to look at him and ask him what was going on, only to see he was gone as well. I heard an echoing whisper, "Let's play. I'm bored. How about hide and seek? Find me..."

I stood up from my seat and slowly walked the passageway in the bus, searching for him. For some reason, I wanted to play along. I got to the half of the bus and then I heard a voice behind me, "Time's up."

I turned around, only to see him standing there. He seemed to be somewhat amused.

I couldn't help but ask, "What's going on? Who are you?"
He grinned, and kept looking at me as if I was the most interesting thing at the place, "I'm here to have some fun", he whispered.

I was angry, I wished he was gone, "Fuck you", I told him, and made sure he saw how angry I was at him. Bad idea.

I felt myself being lifted from the ground and I felt the panic rise in me.
"Don't be rude", he said without any emotion.

I was thrown a few feet away and landed on the floor with a loud thud. It made me lose all air and I started coughing, and when I looked up he was standing above me. He kneeled next to me so we were face to face.

"I don't like it when you talk about me. People get the wrong idea", he told me furiously.

"What do you want from me?", I asked. He might have sensed a hint of fear in my voice, because he chuckled again.

"Tell them I said hello...", he whispered and covered my eyes with his hand.

I woke up after that.

WHAT DOES HE WANT FROM ME!? Are my friends in danger now!? Who is he anyway? I wish I knew his name... I decided I'll find out any way I can. I know he's just a part of my imagination, but... Still, I... I'm just so scared...

DREAM #4 (November 27, 2014)

In this dream I was standing in my school's main hall. It was night, the clock on the wall was showing 3 in the morning. Still, the lights were on, but no one else was there. For some reason, the empty school gave off an eerie feeling, like somebody else was there, and I decided it would be wise if I headed towards the exit. I ran to the door, only to find it locked. That's when he came to join the party.

I heard an amused laugh behind me, and I turned around only to spot him at the place I was standing earlier. He motioned me to come closer. I was afraid of his reaction if I didn't do so, so I cautiously walked until I was about 2 metres away from him. We just stood like that for a few moments.

It was now or never. I asked him, "What's your name?"

He just smirked, "That's all you wish to know?"

"Well there certainly are more things I want to know about you, but we might as well start with this", I tried to sound less afraid than I actually was.

"I don't like to give without being given", he grinned.

I was getting slightly angry now, "Whatever that meant", I said, "Just tell me already, you've been torturing me for years."

"Torture?", he laughed menacingly, "Game."

I don't know what's with me and the urge to insult this guy. It ends badly every time, and yet I still do it. Totally worth it, though.

Anyway, I told him, "If you don't want to answer me, you might as well screw yourself and leave me alone", I said and tried to turn away. Now that I think about it, I should really learn to control my temper.

I haven't even managed to turn around, when I was suddenly thrown in the air and was slammed into a nearby wall. I felt like I was pinned against the wall by an invisible force, at least a meter above the ground. I wished so hard I would wake up, but I didn't.

Then he approached me. All the previous amusement was wiped from his face and replaced with anger. When he was inches away from me, he whispered, "Want to play a game?", he said with a small smirk.

„I'm tired of your games", I said furiously.

„Oh, but this one is really good", he whispered, „If you win, I'll tell you anything you want me to. If you lose, though...“, he grinned, „But you don't have to worry about that right now."

I was silent. I had a bad feeling about this.

„So what's it gonna be?", he asked.

Against any common sense, I decided to play along, „Okay."

Everything started to fade to black and I only heard him whisper, „Until next time, then."

That's when my alarm clock went off.

Looks like he wants to play a game... And then he told me not to worry if I lose... But the way he said it... Why do I feel so uneasy about it?
I'll tell you about the game when it happens.

(EDIT: January 4, 2015)

Hello again. First of all, I know I'm late, but Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone. I wish you all best throughout this year.

As I promised, here's the most recent dream. I wrote it down, but I didn't have time to copy it here until now. I did try some of your suggestions to help make the dreams stop, but unfortunately they're still here.

The game has started, and something tells me I should do anything I can to win. Too bad it isn't really possible for me to win... It's all part of his world, isn't it?

DREAM #5 (December 27, 2014)

This dream started with me standing near a white stone fountain (excuse me for my poor English) without any water in it, surrounded by a hedge maze a lot taller than me; I couldn't really see the top due to the fog all around me. The visibility was still okay though, I was able to see at least 5 metres in front of me.

I wondered if this was the game he was talking about. If it was, what was I supposed to do? Find the exit? Hide? Thankfully (I can't believe I just said that), I heard his voice echoing all around the maze.

„Oh, where could the exit be~?“, his sing-song voice echoed all around, “Before I find you, will you escape me~?“, I gasped at the realisation of the game's rules. I had to hurry.

I ran, and ran, and ran. I tried to find any type of hints that could lead me to an exit, but there were none. Every corridor, every turn, it was all the same; and I couldn't help but feel like I got even more lost with my every turn.

Then I got to a long corridor, without any visible turns. This had to be it, without a doubt.

I sprinted down the corridor until I got too exhausted to keep running. I stopped to catch some air, and noticed it got really cold; every breath I made created small clouds of mist in front of my mouth. In fact, I was freezing, and started rubbing my arms in order to get at least a bit warmer.

And then I heard leaves rustling behind me. And steps. I gasped and started running again. I didn't want him to get me. My breaths became heavier, and I felt as if my legs weighted a ton. But I forced myself to keep running no matter what.

And as cliche as it may sound, I tripped.

And the steps were becoming quicker...

I got up as quickly as I could and continued running. I couldn't lose. I couldn't allow myself to lose. I wanted it all to end.

And then I was forced to stop myself.

„Oh no“, I breathed out, fighting the urge to scream.

Dead end.

I fell on my knees and stared at the hedge in front of me. The steps were getting closer and closer... and then they stopped, and I could feel his presence behind me.

„Found you“, he said, and once again I was lifted into air by an invisible force.

„Let me go“, I said through my teeth.

„You're a sore loser“, he said, as if it were some kind of a fact. With that said, he let me go, and my back hit the ground, making me a bit dizzy as well. I took a moment to regain my senses and stood up to face him. But the moment I looked at him, I felt as if my feet were glued in place.

„That's one point for me, and none for you“, he grinned.

„Screw you“, I said hatefully.

„Now, now, manners“, he chuckled, „I was thinking of giving you another chance, but it seems you don't want one...“, he turned his back to me and slowly started walking away, „I'll be seeing you later, then.“

A second chance? Oh, please don't make it be a trap.

„Wait“, I called and looked to the ground, „I want a second chance“, I lifted my head wanting to check if he was still there, and winced when I realised he was standing right in front of me.

„Now that's the spirit“, he said with that annoying grin plastered across his face, „See you soon.“

His hand covered my eyes and I woke up in the safety of my own bed once again.

  • And these are dreams? That fucking creepy, you should see a psychiatrist to maybe get why you're having dreams like that, Maybe it's symbolic and your brain is transforming it into that.

  • Thats fucking creepy. I agree with Saltlick, you need to see someone about that. Hope you feel better soon

  • When i was a kid, i used to dream about being naked at Summer Camp. It was my biggest subconcious fear, now since I'm on the Medicinal, i don't dream often, but when i do its great. I wouldn't worry too much about it, dreams are just dreams, places connected by thought and time, is their any substance to them, do they have merit?

Can we change the subreality by the choices we make in our dreams.

Who knows. Some do. I've heard reports of people dreaming about the day they die, then it happens. Creepy.

  • I don't want to see a psychiatrist, I'm not crazy..

  • Well...

I can give you a few ideas of why you're having these but you might be offended or I might (Most likely) be wrong.

It's best to go talk to someone who is an expert.

I would need very detailed versions of these dreams to give you a good answer, however here's what I think. Have you had someone in your life recently use you?...or...Make you feel powerless?

That could be a good idea. It also might be that you're having fucked up dreams... Just...Play along in it, do what it says, don't act afraid and just make jokes to it. Yes, it seems scary but fuck with it, it's your brain messing with you...When my brain messes with me, I mess with it. Make jokes, do what it says, be...Rhys and Fiona. :P

Well, that's fucking creepy, no kidding. Man, I don't even know what to say here, if I were you, I'd try to do something about it before this shit gets worse. You know, there might be a way out actually... When you're dreaming, do you realize that you're dreaming, or does everything seem real to you? Because there's such thing as lucid dreaming, which allows you to gain absolute control over your dreams, once you realize that you're sleeping. It's pretty hard to achieve, because most of the time, for me at least, dreams are very similar to reality and it's not so easy to tell the difference. But if you manage to realize that it's all a dream, then you'll get the ability to make it go on in any way you would like it to. Just remember, everything that surrounds you is just a part of your imagination, and that means you're the only god here and there are no bounds restricting your power over anything, including that spooky person. Trust me, I've practised this myself and it's really working.

  • Eyes on the TV

  • Creepy :O. I think I had dreams like that, but that's even worse. My dreams are usually games, and they seem so real, but sometimes I feel like I'm not there but I am, it's hard to explain. But basically, I'm given a role, be it a student, investigator, cop, parent, anything really, and there's some weird scenario where people lives are at stake, and it's up to me to save them. It's really scary because it's usually night time all the time, and I feel like someone is playing with me, like this person is entertained, and amused by watching me. I'm pretty sure most of the time I fail, but I still have this odd connection to the people who's lives were in danger, and I get a bit depressed because I couldn't save them.

My dreams stopped though. But anyway I was just rambling there. I'm not sure how to help, but maybe someone else can. I usually tell people about stuff, maybe you need to see somebody. I know I wouldn't but it's probably for the best.

    "Want to play a game?"

Oh god. That's not good. And you said okay?... Well either you confront him head on, or maybe win his game. I don't even know I'm not good at this stuff but be careful and good luck!

  • You're not taking any vitamin B6 near bedtime, are you?

These are your dreams, and you have control, though you may not realize it. You need to plan in advance. Choose weapons, and realize you can make any more that you want at any time.

I'll help. Feel free to visualize me any way you like. I also have green eyes, and I have a few years on this guy. He doesn't stand a chance.

  • Holy Zombie guts! this too long for my blood ._.

  • OK I might get hate for this but sometimes dreams can tell the future. If you ever see this man in real life, get out of the situation immediately! It could lead to a murder or rape!

Or it's just your brain playing with you, trying to tell you about an issue you're subconsciously worried about in a different but not forthright way. If there are any problems in your life right now, evaluate it and see if it has any tie to the dream whatsoever. There's this site called Dream forth where you can look up meanings of dreams and even ask the people on the site what it could mean. Here's a link http://www.dreamforth.com hope I could help and good luck!

  • Do you see scary stuff before going to bed? If you do then you should stop. I read somewhere that the things you see or feel before going to bed may affect your dream.

  • If you do not minde me asking...

Have you ever lost a [part-time] job or lost/broke up with a loved one or have you ever lived alone?

Okay, this is a wierd question. Have you ever grown up in an homophobic enviroment?

Have you ever enjoyed your childhood?

Have you ever had trust issues with people like the guy in your dreams?

I swear this is the last question. Do you live in a community, like a city?

  • Reacuring nightmares are a sign of something in your fe, as of most dreams. During dreams our body's subconsciously reitterate a senerio from our lives. You might be having these dreams because of a subconscious fear or a real world problem. Dreams of watching may indicate the dreamers inability to participate or to take part. A dream of being watched may indicate that the dreamer feels confined in their current environment or they feel a lack of privacy. It also indicates the dreamer is being criticized or sqrutinized.

I'm no doctor so I don't know how to stop night terrors from occurring. Sorry if I didn't help.

  • Hello everyone. As promised, I updated the main post with the most recent dream. I can't stay online for too long, I'm not feeling too good.

  • Holy shit, like reading Harry Potters all over again, so much text.

But yeah, you should go see a expert of these kinda things, we are just group of derps derping on the internet, we know nothing about these kinda things...

  • Always listen to your dreams, images in our dreams have hidden meaning that go far beyond the outer appearance. Dreams are symbolic and aren't meant to be taken literally... at least the majority of the times. The significance of your dreams are personal and dependant on your own personal experiences. Perhaps you know this person in real life? Perhaps your consciousness is using your dreams to help you stabilize a fear perhaps? There's even the work of supernatural beings. Since your dreams repeat, it shows that you haven't sold an issue in the dreamscape or even in reality. You may be facing your alter-ego, someone similar to you, the parts of yourself you fear or dislike perhaps? Sometimes dreams are unconscious desires, perhaps you desire something from this person? Perhaps you once met this person in real life and a dream copy of him was created in your subconscious mind? It is said that the appearance of a stranger in our dreams are the mirrors of our feelings, emotions or even personality traits. People who study dreams say that if you dream of someone of the opposite sex, it signifies that you have suppressed emotions struggling to get out. To see an angry stranger that shouts at you signifies that you were frustrated over something like a chance that could've been yours. Seeing a stranger with vague features and dark clothing may mean there's something wrong with your health.

Most dreams of strangers are representations of your unknown fears and emotions. Fearing the stranger can reflect on anxieties and your personal worries. Next time you meet this person in a dream, try being nice and see what happens, play along, do as he says and maybe you'll uncover something...although sometimes it's hard to control what we do in our dreams, that is if you have little to no control of your dreams. Maybe you should try to control your dreams? Sometimes people can change what happen in their dreams if they learn how to, you could turn the tables or it may not work if you feel frightened by this dream person. They say male strangers in a females dream can even reflect her masculine side but they usually have no sexual appeal towards the dream stranger. Try to learn what you can from him, it may help you figure out why you're having these dreams. Perhaps the anger and fear you show towards this stranger are emotions that you are afraid to show in real life? Sometimes how a stranger in your dream acts can mean that's how you want to act in real life.

There are so many meanings for just a single dream, really how you go about finding the meaning of your dreams entirely depends on you, perhaps your unconscious is even trying to warn you about something or perhaps this is your subconscious way of being on the path to facing your fears, since you have these dreams only yearly, I suggest you do what you can to find answers if you can. Just remember you're definitely NOT crazy, we all have dreams, some people have experienced the same as you or worse, in fact what you're experiencing in your dreams is not entirely uncommon. I wish you the best!!!

  • I dreamed a lot about My classmate and I'm pretty sure you know what happened in my dreams. That ASS had me like O _O

  • Damn.

Maybe the guy you see in your dreams is someone you know or once knew, but has a different appearance? Maybe there's some symbolism going on?

You should try talking to some people about it. People you trust to take you seriously. See if that helps... or you can always visit a psychiatrist. There's most likely a hidden meaning behind your dreams; your subconsciousness telling you something or other, because I wouldn't know what to think if you just randomly see this guy in your sleep without a reason.

Next time this bloke pops into your dream, it's probably better to be ready in some way. Imagine your dream self with more power over him. Try that.

Another option is to loosen up on the horror films.

  • Have you ever played one of those you-are-the-rat maze games? The last good one I remember is ancient, but I haven't been looking for those types of games lately, so I'm not sure what's out there now. The one I played had useful items in boxes you could find along the way.

You're a gamer. Next time he picks a game, look for similarities to something you might have played and beaten. That will help you beat his game, too.
