My Little Pony Game

edited December 2014 in General Chat

Hi there,
feel free to unleash your fiery wrath upon my person - but I think that MLP:FIM would really deserve a high quality game. And a point'n'click adventure game from Telltale would be something beyond every brony's dream. I know that Borderlands 2 team does have a few of them onboard - does Telltale have some as well?

To get to the point, would Telltale be interested in such a game? Could Hasbro actually cooperate? I am sure the MLP:FIM creators would be happy to help out. The same goes for the community - you could start a Kickstarter campaing if you wanted and I'm sure the campaign would be on its third stretch goal by the end of the day.

  • Obvious Troll is Obvious.

  • They should make one

  • Telltale would not be interested. They're more interested in games that they can rate M. I mean it's possible but I could never see it happening.

  • This is what we get for excessive trolling - guys, I meant it. A lot of people would enjoy such a game and since the audience should be pretty big, Telltale could make some of them profits.

Thanks to Oninaito and Raging_Blades for serious comments!

  • All of ours were serious, this is stupid.

  • No problem. I guess the community just doesn't want a good company like Telltale making a game out of a "little girls children's show" although it could appeal to younger audiences, and bronies of course. I actually like the show(I'm not trolling) but I haven't seen that much. A game does sound kind of cool. I hope no one's opinion changed about me, just my opinion.

  • Why be so hard on the OP? She wasn't being a troll. This is Tell Tale Talk section where we can express our thoughts and things we'd like them to play. My Little Pony isn't just for kids, it's for anyone who's nerdy, a fan of Ponies, and anyone who wants to learn from them. The Ponies teach great lessons that viewers can relate to. Examples: They teach us to be yourself, be creative, be kind to your friends and peers, etc. Gender doesn't matter because everyone still watches Dora and Diego, and how can you assume Tell Tale wouldn't be interested in this game?

They don't just make rate M games. They make rated E games too like Back From The Future. Little children had fun with that, and Jurassic Park. I think they will gain more fans by making a My Little Pony game. Just give the Ponies an awesome goal like: Maybe evil ponies are trying take over the town and Princess Celestia calls Pinky Pie and her friends to stop them. The journey won't be easy though because the dark lord pony. The only thing that can stop the evil ponies from saving the town is through friendship and magic. They will try to convince the evil ponies to be friendly and leave them alone. five episodes of the ponies trying to save the town while going through their conflicts.

Thanks OP. I respect your thread and agree they should make it. Forget the haters sweety.

My Little Pony isn't just for kids,

my little pony is made and intended for girls under the age of 10 and then there are the bronies which i will not speak about because i will end up insulting someone and you can't compare back to the future and jurassic park to mlp those franchises are marketed towards whole families not just little girls do you see the problem here? little girls won't play it telltale will lose sales because no one likes my little pony other than a group of people who are frowned upon (sounds bad but lets be honest here) it would be a bad business move altogether

  • We aren't haters we were expressing our thoughts just like the OP. This is a stupid idea for a Telltale game and what the living hell is that idea you came up with...That sounds like it's the worst thing ever... All of this is the worst thing ever.

  • Thanks, you are right. I really think Telltale could make good money and media attention on this.

  • You only think that because she's on your side. Only bronies and people with no sense of being a good business person thinks this is a good idea. Look at Jewfreeus's comment then maybe you'll realize how horrible of a mistake making this would be.

  • Here are some stats from last august marathon airing:

More than 4.3 million Total Viewers tuned-in to watch "Hub Network's MY LITTLE PONY Mega Mare-athon," which aired from Monday, August 4 through Friday, August 8 (9 a.m. ET - 7 p.m. ET/6 a.m. PT -4 p.m. PT). The epic 50-hour viewing event, which featured every single episode from all four seasons of "My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic," as well as the "My Little Pony Equestria Girls" movie and three classic MY LITTLE PONY specials, drew more than 2.2 million unique Kids 2-11, 1.2 million Kids 6-11, 1.3 million Adults 18-49, and 1.2 million Adults 25-54.

See, a lot of people, don't you think? And a very large portion of them are adults.

  • you do realize that statistic most likely includes the adults watching it with kids right? and you think every single one of those people are gonna buy it? not everyone is into video games no matter what the game is plus that does not represent the gaming community at all or the telltale community at all the game would fail we don't even need to discuss it because it is never gonna happen

  • That's sad so many people of that age watch a children's show...Now calculate how many of them would buy the game. Listen, I want proof of where this came from. Finally, over half of those audience members are children that can't buy or play video games.

    Nice try.

I see you are new so welcome to the forum :)

There is a thread called The generic "Telltale Should Make" thread where you can post ideas like this, we (moderators) would normally merge threads like this but as this has some replies that might spam the other thread so i am not going to merge them.

I am going to close this one so that there aren't too many thread about the same thing but you are more than welcome to post your idea in the other thread.
