Dragon's Lair!
By modern standards, it's pretty stupid, though.
EDIT: I was pretty impressed by Sinistar, too, though. Which is why I liked the Bluster Blaster game in Sam & Max.
Bioshock, Walking Dead and Wolf Among Us, and tales from the borderlands because it blew my mind how good it was
The first time I played Heavy Rain literally blew my mind. The fact that your characters could die and never come back made me lose my fucking shit during every fight scene.
Tales from the Borderlands. I have never played a single Borderlands game in my life, but the first episode really just exceeded my expectations. Honestly, one of the best Telltale episodes ever made, can't wait for more.
Heavy Rain was a total mind blower!
Earthbound
Eternal Darkness
Final Fantasy 7
Planescape: Torment
Yume Nikki
Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy
Fallout 1/2/3
To the Moon
Deus Ex
The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us.
Bioshock , specially Infinite
I HAVE TO CHANGE MY CONTOLLER PORT TO BEAT PSYCHO MANTIS?! IMPOSSBLE!
Pre-DLC? the DLC ruined the entire franchise for me.
I still haven't played Burial at Sea actually, so yeah Pre-DLC for now.
Oh man Indigo Prophecy has one of my favorite intro's in a game. Just trying to hide the body and make a break for it was insanely intense and then once you play as the 2 cops you realized how much you completely fucked up (Forgetting to pay the bill, bumping into the waitress ect.) just everything about that intro was PERFECT.
I'd say Heavy Rain because of all the shitty plot holes.
In all seriousness, TWD really blew my mind by the game altering choices.
Zelda: Ocarina of time. For the time the graphics and world was revolutionary. It was one of the first 3d open world adventure games. It may not feel like it now, but when it first came out, it felt like you were in a living, breathing world.
Burial at sea was awesome . Especially part 2
Mass Effect, Persona 4, Tomb raider 2013 reboot,TWAU, and Danganronpa all impressed me when they came out because i was blown away by how good they were. I would also say Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus blew me away(mostly cause it did things I didn't know you could get away with a video game), and I would also say Dragon Age: Inquisition. It blew my mind how awesome the graphics and how beautiful the game world was.
I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream and One Chance.
Deadlight and Bioshock: Infinite because of endings.
And I really was amazed the first time I played Telltale's TWD, with all choices having an impact on the storyline.
One chance is so sad
SSB4 completely exceeded my expectations.
It is, but I like emotional games, it's really hard to find good ones. :>
To The Moon is damn good.
Walking Dead S1. I got the game once on my iPod and stopped four minutes in so when I got the copy for Xbox 360 I wasn't sure what to think except I was COMPLETELY blown away from the amazing story. Same applies to Wolf Among Us, I bought it only to have something to do in between Walking Dead S2 episodes but I ended up liking it more :P
The Last of Us. When I reached the ending for the first time, I had no words.
Dude I'm playing through Deadlight right now it's SO GOOD!
What blew your mind about Indigo Prophecy? Just wondering :P
Don't forget to check out alternative ending when you'll finish!
Kingdom Hearts.. (I was 11!) It was amazing running around with my favorite Disney characters, fighting shadows and other things.
The Walking Dead.. It blew my mind how immersive the story was.
The Last of Us.. Did I say immersive? This is the very definition of immersive.
Resident Evil 4.. I remember watching my cousin play it when I was younger. For some reason, I couldn't tear my eyes from the screen.
Too bad the story was really weak later :<
But... Does it taste good?
Everything about it really! The intro was amazing (like you said in your previous comment) and (in my opinion) the rest of the chapters that followed. I still remember the scene where Lucas had to get rid or hide all the evidence in his apartment when the cop rang his doorbell. Oh, and the scene where he had the choice whether or not to save the kid who fell into the icy lake. Anyways, I'll embed the rest of my favorite scenes or chapters on here!

Mass Effect. The whole way that universe is crafted is just so darn good, probably Cliche but I haven't seen it mentioned. Half-Life 2. That game. It's just so good, it actually makes you feel like you're the one stopping the combine. The graphics the characters the weapons. Everything in that game is has immersion coming out of the wazoo. I remember just getting out of my car and stopping at every house I could find for supplies I didn't need.
Max Payne is bullet, Max Payne is time.
You didn't like the sci-fi twist they added to the story?
I adore the first half of Indigo Prophecy but then it begin to just become ridiculously over the top.
I was bursting into tears from laughing so hard when I was fighting the evil A.I alien with my Kamehameha blasts. When Indigo Prophecy is good it's REALLY good but as soon as the secret hobo organization showed up I just zoned out. Now I'm thinking about it Indigo Prophecy is still a great experience. The nicest thing I could say about the second half is that it was stupidly good.
I personally thought it was interesting when they brought the whole winter apocalypse scenario in, including the hobo rebel group. (regardless of it being overdone or not) But yeah, I agree that it was sort of silly when Lucas got force powers in the later stages, (even though it was still pretty cool imo) and how he sort of became like Neo from the Matrix in a way.
