A couple of oldies but Super Mario 64 & Gears of War. They were the first games I saw on their respective consoles. I was blown by its graphics. SM64 was a radical change for previous SMB games' structure and design. Gears of War blurred the line between cartoonish animation andtoned down coloring. Graphics are excellent.
Another thing that irritated me was the extremely forced relationship between Lucas and Carla. I mean jesus his girlfriend just fucking died and Carla is all like "Oh hey were gonna probably die...So Lucas you wanna fuck or something?"
I personally thought it was interesting when they brought the whole winter apocalypse scenario in, including the hobo rebel group. (regardle… moress of it being overdone or not) But yeah, I agree that it was sort of silly when Lucas got force powers in the later stages, (even though it was still pretty cool imo) and how he sort of became like Neo from the Matrix in a way.
Now for a positive. The scene were Carla goes to the psycho ward was one of the most creepiest moments I've ever played in game! Also everything that happens before Lucas "dies" is pure gold.
I would give the first half a 10/10 - I loved it!
and the second half a 6/10 - It was really dumb but in a good cheesy movie kind of way.
