That was my breaking point, i left Everything, i quit grad school, and enlisted to go fight.I didn't care if i made it back home at that point in my life. "I am a Christian.
I believe in God, and in Jesus Christ his son.
And I believe the Bible is the word of God, and I fully trust what it says."

"Be kind and helpful toward others, and don't necessarily expect to get anything in return. Yes, there are a lot of people who will do for other only when it benefits them, or who are all about survival-of-the-fittest. But just because there are people like that in the world today, that doesn't mean that I have to be one of them, I can be a better man than that."

"Never trust a stranger. Always approach a situation with caution, and be careful not to reveal to much information about yourself, until you know who you're dealing with."

"When in a bar: NEVER leave your drink unattended, nor take your eye off your drink, that way no-one can slip something into it.
NEVER let your guard down while in a bar, always keep an eye on the others in there, as well as your surroundings, but don't be obvious about it.
And, be careful how you speak others in there, as people's tempers can easily flare when they've been drinking, and you DON'T want to get into a bar-fight."

"Only fight when you have to, either in self-defense, or in defense of someone you care about.
But don't go picking fights for no reason."

The way I see it is how much respect you treat your body with, as well as the life you were given by God. Being grateful for what you have, and not doing anything reckless to demean yourself. Hence "to live gently". I suppose it's open to interpretation though.

I believe in civic duty and engaging in political action. Only fools mock and ignore politics, when their future hangs in the balance.

I believe that religion is an important social institution, though I'm nota believer myself.

I believe that a leader shouldn't send men and women to war unless they've taken pains to know what it's like.

I believe that humanity is fundamentally dangerous and untrustworthy, but also good.

I read all these smart and intelligent things and then we get to this....Man...You made me laugh I love you. I don't disagree and to avoid a religious argument i'm going to say I don't agree....Shhhh....I do though.
