Your thoughts on Dubbed anime
In my opinion, they make the voices less good when they are dubbed. I have never actually watched a dubbed anime where I have liked the voice acting. Sometimes I think the voice acting is acceptable but I never prefer it to the original. What are your opinions on dubbed anime?

I'm the opposite. I like my anime dubbed (don't watch much anime), but my live films subtitled. It's just awkward because the mouths don't match in live, but in anime that doesn't matter. As far as the actual 'acting' portion goes, I can't tell as much because I don't speak a lick of Japanese. Then again, the only animes I've really seen are Sailor Moon, Pokemon (revealing my age), Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, and Ghost in the Shell. I've been trying to watch Ergo Proxy, but to my knowledge, subtitled is the only available option.
Have you watched DBZ?
Yes I haz
I can never enjoy the anime as much(sometimes at all) if it is dubbed.
Probably the one time dubbed anime is better than the original. Let me put it like this, the main character which is a guy, I'm sure you know him, in the Japanese dub is voiced by an old Japanese woman. While in the american dub, the voice actor actually fits the character.
I didn't like the voice acting in Dragonball Z in English or Japanese but I still prefer it to be Japanese.
Do you speak Japanese at all? I know when I watch subtitled movies, if it's a language I speak, I can pick out flaws and nuances that were glanced over, but if I don't know it at all, like with Japanese, it doesn't phase me because I don't notice. (I will admit, in the case of DBZ or Sailor Moon I was a little little kid in elementary school (yes I'm that old) so watching it in subtitles would just be weird since it wasn't my childhood.)
Though one thing, even live action, I have to watch dubbed is Ultraman or Godzilla. That just adds to the lovely cheesiness.
In a lot of dubbed anime though the voice actor doesn't fit the character.
I know some Japanese.
Watch more dubbed anime then. I do agree that a majority do it bad. But there are some really fantastic dubs out there. Like the funanimation dub of one piece.
There are some really good ones (Fullmetal Alchemist, Hellsing, Fruits Basket). I typically prefer sub though.
Not really I'm the opposite. I love and prefer dub anime.
Hatsune Autotune Miku
brace yourselves... weeabos are coming.....
Not...not really. I like watching dubbed anime just our of curiosity but most of the time I will prefer the sub over dub. The only good anime voice acting I like were, Dragon ball Z,School Rumble,Shiki, and my favorite;Fruit basket.
You know what I hate? Dubbed cartoons. I don't watch anime. (Don't know if you count Yugioh)
There are two dubs, one of them is really bad.
Yu-Gi-Oh! is anime.
It all depends on the anime. I personally like both and don't care whatsoever whether an anime is dubbed or in Japanese, but there have been some anime in which I couldn't stand watching in either English (Deadman Wonderland) or Japanese (Cowboy Bebop). The same is true for JRPGs as well. There are JRPGs I rather play with English voices (some Tales of games) and some where I rather play in Japanese voices (Ar Tonelico Qoga, Ar Nosurge)
I went to see the dubbed One Piece but I still didn't like it.
I don't think anyone could stand dubbed Naruto.
I couldn't believe that the first time I heard DBZ in Japanese. What possessed them to make Goku's VA a woman? And it's not one of those passably deep female voices either.
There are a lot of voice actors who are not the same gender as their character.
Yeah I get what you're saying.
I know that, what I'm saying is that in the original it's so obvious he's voiced by a woman that it's horrible. There's no suspension of disbelief like with voice actresses who can actually pull off sounding male. Ex: Romi Park
This is one of the reasons why I like certain dubs over their original Japanese voices.
I don't mind the dub in Naruto. I've seen and heard a lot of terribad anime English dubs that make the English dub of Naruto seem superior. I could say the same for some Japanese voices too, since I speak it and hear it almost everyday to know when a voice just sounds terrible even in Japanese. Heck, the creator, Cain Kuga (I think it was him), of Cowboy Bebop even said he preferred the English voices over the Japanese voices of the Cowboy Bebop anime adaptation.
Dragonball is the only anime really that was better in some ways when it was dubbed. But the voice acting was still pretty bad when it was in English.
Whenever I've seen dubbed Naruto I have completely hated it. Naruto's voice just pisses me off way to much ^o^
you clearly have never seen dragon ball in Mexico
I could go either way. I like Sub and Dub.
Looks like there's no pleasing you then.
Sometimes they're good (I.E. Stein;s Gate)
Sometimes they're just okay (I.E. Attack on Titan)
Sometimes they're just plain awful. (I.E. Sword Art Online or Akira.)
I haven't watched much anime, but I think it depends. Most of the time I prefer subbed though because dubbed makes it sound kind of weird, but at times dubbed can sound better.
I like some of the voices in English but I do like the voices in Japanese even more.
I don't consider myself an anime fan. I'm not an expert so I'm probably not qualified to comment on it, but I really hate the stereotypes of the... whatever anime is supposed to be. I hate high pitched school girls, I hate the fight scenes that last multiple episodes. I hate the lazy, cornercutting animation and so on.
But what I never understood about "anime fans" is their general dislikes for dubs. I'd rather listen to something in a language I can understand. If you're watching a comedy, you'd rather want to hear it and not read it, right? It's especially puzzling to me when people explain to me how they prefer the Japanese dub when they don't even know Japanese. Like really? How can you tell it's better?
As for my opinion on dubs in general. If I can find it in English then I'll usually go for that version unless it's a song or a live action movie.
Most of dubbed anime are silly, in my opinion.
Actually, sometimes dubbed anime is awesome, here's an example:

Or should you say dubbstepped anime is awesome?
Its hilarious once you see the original version. I nearly had a heart attack when I heard Goku's voice in it's original version (he's voiced by an elderly Chinese lady)
Japanese not Chinese
My bad still utterly hilarious.
