  • Nothing is much fun to me anymore; but that's why I'm on happy pills.

  • Bah to growing up! BAH I say! Maybe your just not playing the right games. You use Unity as an example, but the news has spread that the game has it's fair share of problems that make it not so fun to play and the tedious/repetitive gameplay continue to hurt the AC series. Try something a little less AAA and no collectibles (I know hunting for them can really suck the fun out of a game until you get them all).

  • Your likes change, for me it was Soda Pop and Video Games., now its Getting Angry, and getting tossed out of Kroger for making a scene.

Yeah and that bait thread of yours and the constant flaging of my posts had nothing to do with it. I know it was you .
I don't care anymore. Just gonna hide your comments from here on .

I didn't 'get you banned': you broke the forum guidelines and mods read through the thread in which you broke them.

  • My point though, was that so many AAA games have a lot of potential that seems to go to waste. I'd be fine with a cluttered map in Unity if I was allowed to just clear it at my leisure. I'm also going to point out COD for simply being unoriginal each year. I had high hopes for Halo MCC but I can't think of a single reason why they structured matchmaking so that I couldn't even choose which version of multiplayer to play.

Short answer: AAA games can be really good again if companies has the right mindset.

  • Thing is, I'm pretty new to the whole gaming world (starting playing summer 2013, but I'm really loving it) so I can't say they aren't as "fun" as they used to be. I'm enjoying all of the games I've played pretty recently but at the same time I feel like 2014 was a bad year for games. Maybe it will get better in the future, but at the same time I don't feel like they aren't "fun" anymore.

  • I have start noticing a tiresomeness in gaming. Guess I am maturing or something. But I will keep playing games because it gives me a respite from the difficulties of life.

  • It comes with growing up. Plus, the games you grow up with are generally your favorite ones, and anything that comes after those will never measure up in your mind.

  • Maybe if you have the time try and get some older games on Ebay. Maybe the first two Halo games. It's less complicated with older games.

  • But drugs are known to kill you over time.

You can't even compare this to that, one is a unneeded danger and the other is a form of transportation.

  • They can most definitely be compared. You want to live your live in a way that demands the use of a car. Widely accepted.

A man who uses (and wants to use) drugs wants to live their life in a way that demands the use of drugs. Not so widely accepted.

Everything kills you over time. Breathing slowly damages the tissue in your lungs so.. don't do that anymore. Living through time damages your... everything... so don't do that anymore.

  • He does have a point, Golden. There's danger in pretty much anything now. In a crowded room, what stops you from being stabbed and killed silently without anyone knowing what happened? When you cross the road on foot, what stops a speeding car from screeching around the corner and running you down before you can react? Everything has some risk to it, even if it's unlikely to happen.

...Wow...This is just...You...I have nothing to say except this is stupid...Do drugs, get cancer or other forms of disease and waste your one life...Can't say I don't warn people.

  • But drugs are bad...I don't give a shit about anything else, we're talking about drugs...I was trying at least.

  • It's not stupid, and I don't do drugs (well, alchohol occasionally). I just respect the choice if a person chooses to do so. I am not a person to stand between a man and his path. If a person thinks drugs will lead them to bliss, then I hope it works out for them.

You would let someone do drugs and die from it when you've been taught your entire life that drugs are bad.

By the way, I never meant to imply you did drugs yourself, sorry if you felt offense from this.

  • Over time I get bored with games, not that don't like gaming anymore of course. Usually its when you keep replying the same franchise over and over again, such as Call of Duty. Developers keep reusing the same formula and eventually you'll grow bored of it.

The only way for me to play games at this point is to play with friends or play something new. Sometimes I'll play older games that I enjoyed when I was young, but I get bored of "newer" material in modern gaming.

No, the best way to waste your life is doing drugs.

  • Nah man that's like the I wish I was born in another generation thing. Every generation has absolute shit and pure gold you just have to dig deep. Like the NES era was fucking trash. They sold shit that's on Steam Early Access and Greenlight on store shelves. Shit happens you just happen to be blasted with advertising for shit. You just got to do some snooping for a better community and games.

  • I think your missing his point. If a person wants to wreck there own lives for drugs, then it's their choice. They aren't hurting anyone else by doing so. People should be able to do what makes them happy as long as it doesn't hurt others.

  • I'd say fuck growing up, but I don't think that's what's making me disinterest. If idiot developers or publishers (whoever's fault it is) would stop making so much DLC and other shit that means nothing and focus more on the game itself, then I'd probably love gaming again. I'm okay with a bit of DLC, but not so much of the game being locked off. And fro fuck's sake make it free. Paid DLC is one practice that needs to die in fire.
