  • Sup everyone! My name is Sofya but most of the people here know me as Sonya. My nickname is "InKennyWeTrust" because I like Kenny and he is my favorite character. But don't worry, I'm not one of those crazy fanboys, I try to respect everyone's opinion here!

I'm from Russia and I am only 12 year old. There are plenty of teens here but I'm probably the youngest. I hope it won't confuse you and you won't treat me differently just because I'm a kid because I think that I'm much more mature than an average kid. I'm a calm person that tries to avoid arguments because they are always unnecessary. But if you will start insulting me, don't think that I will act like an innocent sheep!

I was only 11 when I played Season 1 even though it souds crazy. I still got touched by this amazing game and I can surely tell that it's the best game I've ever played! I am not a sentimental person, but I cried 4 times while playing The Walking Dead. I also really love The Wolf Among Us because it's an interesting game with great characters and fascinating story. I really hope that it will have a sequel! I'm not really a gamer, I just played a few games. I prefer reading books and watching movies and cartoons. I like doing sports, especially swimming and playing tennis. One of my main hobbies is writing different stuff. I prefer to write prose even though sometimes I wriet poems. One of the main literature of mine is an interactive fanfic "A Brave New World" (you can see the link to it in my profile). I dream of making a text-based adventure game in TWD universe one day... I wonder if my dream will come true.

So, that's pretty much everything! I'm on this forum for half a year already and I have a few good buddies that I care about. You can always become one of those buddies - just PM me and let's see if we will get closer!

  • Hi everyone! I'm Alessandra from Italy (but I live in UK) and I want to be a mighty pirate. Well, I'm a huge fan of all the Monkey Island games :P I also made a project about Monkey Island on Lego Ideas (I started a discussion about this in the Monkey Island Telltale community http://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/77886/monkey-island-in-lego-form)

  • Alright, I'll give this a shot.

My username is clearly up top ^ but my real name is Bianca. And I'm Australian. Brb, my kangaroo is on fire. (Okay, that was just lame)

Found TWD franchise in 2012, have been fangirling ever since.

I've played video games for just about all my life, my first memory of playing them was with my brother when I was three to four years old. I didn't know the controls, so my brother would help me but mostly take over. It was a zombie game, actually. I think it was either Resident Evil 1 or 2. I think it was the sewer part that I keep remembering? Anyway, I wasn't scared of it. Sounds funny, huh? A three/four year old girl not scared of a zombie video game. We used to play it on my uncle's PS2. I had a nightmare about it once, but I'm pretty sure that just cemented my love for the game.

Growing up playing various video games, I grew to love Wrestling around the same age. My parents would always watch it, and my brother and I would sometimes sneak out of our bedrooms and peek out the hallway and into the loungeroom to watch it whenever it was a repeat we missed or it came on past our bedtime. Soon after, my mum bought us Smackdown vs. RAW 2005. I didn't know how to play it, the controls were confusing for a little girl. Later on in my life, my mum ended up buying me Smackdown vs. Raw 2010, then WWE '12. I played them all night long.

    I'll fast forward a little.

It was in 2012 around September when a video popped up in my subscription box by PewDiePie. It was his first video for the playthrough of Season 1 of The Walking Dead. I knew it was about zombies, and I had heard of the franchise before. I just never explored it since I thought it was just another zombie video game that wouldn't make it. My god, I was so wrong. Once I clicked on that video, I watched as Pewds got to choose his first option of dialogue. And I was reeled in. Like seriously, I was a fish and the game bait. And the bait was a bitter sweetness, you know, 'cause of the feels? After that, I was hooked. badum-tiss. I kept waiting and watching all of the videos he put out of it. Then I realized I could search it up on Youtube for the full episode. So I did. Then came the DLC. Even more excited for the next season. Then came the next season. Where for the first time ever, I actually fell in love with a character.

    More than Clementine.

It'd be a shocker if I said anyone else other than Luke. But yeah, it was Luke.

Then, I realized he was voiced by Scott Porter. And the name sounded really familiar. He starred in Hart of Dixie. I remember when it first came out, I saw the ads on TV and I'd see him on there. After that, I started watching Hart of Dixie. And I fell in love with that too.

You guys have most likely copped out and stopped reading, and if you haven't, well... how?

But if you didn't cop out, guess thank you? And now you know more about me? Eh?

@InfiniteDawn Wait what? :D Ooh but you brought back some good ol' memories.. I used to "play" resident evil 3 with my older brother at the age of 4-5 too. But by "playing" I mean I was only watching because I was so scared and couldn't play it properly xD And I also found out about TWDG because of a video from Pewds. I started to play the game because of him, and I started to watch his videos because of this game..

  • Hello all I am Chameleon Saint. I am from the land down under.
I must have been away for some time, as when I logged on today it appears there is a whole new world happening here. I like it.
    As my bio says now...
I have been playing this genre of game as far back as I can remember. I love any genre of gaming though and I think I always will. I often buy games quicker than I can play them. I am a slow player. I immerse myself into the game and it can take me longer then others to get through them. That can make it hard to play with others. I do enjoy playing with others but it can be hard to find slow players as myself.
I am interested to see what new series will come.

  • Hey there! I'm Zak, I have done a degree in games design and development and I am also a radio presenter for a local station on the North Wales coast. I love anime and DBZ is my favourite. Drumming is what I do best and a huge Final Fantasy fan. I love TV series like Game of Thrones, Walking dead and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. If you want to ask me about anything then message me and I will respond :) Peace out guys!

  • Hey CerseiRules here ;)

Well, probably not in terms of the ruling part as I am not a gamer other than point and click games online once in a while. But I am a huge GoT fan and that's why I am here.

You don't ask a lady her age, and I am not going to tell.

Any idea, when we will get the game for Mac?

  • Oi. Tori's the name, gaming is my... game? That sounded cooler in my head.

I'm from Kansas City and been playing video games for as long as I can remember. The first video game I ever played was Super Mario Brothers for the NES and I never looked back. Went from Nintendo, to Sega, back to Nintendo, adopted the PlayStation and eventually got an Xbox and play some games on the PC. I also enjoy to write and in 2011 I put both my passions together and started writing video game reviews, which I'm still doing. 94 and counting.

Last year everyone and their mother was telling me I needed to play The Walking Dead. "Why haven't you played TWD yet, Tori?" "Stop what you're doing and play TWD right now!" "TWD trumps everything else that you're playing." "If you don't play this game I WILL EAT YOUR HEART!" Okay, so I'm exaggerating for comedic effect, but you get the idea. I finally sat down and played the first game last year in August. I haven't read any of the comics or watched the TV show at that point so the Telltale's game was my introduction to the series. Oh, my god. The last game to get that much emotional reaction out of me was Metal Gear Solid and The Last of Us.

Needless to say I became a fan, picked up the second game, and bought the first episode of Game of Thrones as soon as it became available. Stumbled upon this forum by mistake and decided to sign up. I still need to get my hands on The Wolf Among Us and some of their other games. I was curious to try out their Law & Order one if I can ever find it. I'm guessing I have to make some posts before I can upload my own avatar since I didn't see that option anywhere.

    Catch you guys later.

    Heya. Name's Dennis.

You see, I've attempted to introduce myself on this thread before. But after rereading what I had typed again for several long minutes, I realized I just wasn't satisfied with the end result. So here's me, starting over.

I was born and, despite both my parents being English, raised for (supposedly) four years in South Korea before moving on back to the UK. I'm a big fan of games, both classic and modern. If you were to meet me someday in real life - which is rather unlikely - I'd probably appear to you as a bit of a pessimist. I'm not. I am a realist; I just tell things as it is. I'm too serious most of the time and sometimes have trouble telling whether a person's being sarcastic or not... which is ironic, considering the fact that sarcasm is my main sense of humour. I also have this tendency to unintentionally start up arguments or debates. It's like an unwanted talent. And so far, I'm the only guy in my school who doesn't mind singing with the ladies.

    Masculinity bullshit is bullshit.

I'm too, the bloke who doesn't believe in the whole 'normal' nonsense. No one's ever truly 'normal'. Everyone has different personality traits, different opinions, different genders, tastes... different appearances, you get the drift. That being said, I'm an atheist. I don't buy into any religious beliefs... which is why my greatest fear in the zombie apocalypse would be to get infected. To me, heaven is far-fetched. Again, this is from my viewpoint. I don't think the dead move on. Imagine being trapped in a walking corpse, a husk of your old self and not able to control your own body.

    Damn.

All in all, I'm a pretty standard guy. I'm seventeen, I have a dog named Shark (yay for random facts!), and I guess I'll see you around.

  • Hey there @AvieDavie If you buy a season pass when all the episodes are out you will still get all the episodes but you could also just buy a season pass and get the episodes as they are released so you don't have to wait, But regardless buying the season pass costs less than buying Episodes one by one.

  • Howdy there. I'm Sk0urges.

I like to think of myself as a reasonably chill guy. I mean, I'll admit - I have a pretty sizable ego. But that ain't saying I act like some hotshot, 'kay? I don't strut about like a snobbish fool and boast to every single person I come across, promise. Although I've still heard from many that I do seem like a bit of a jerk from time to time... okay, look, cut me a break. I'm a dude. We're all assholes some point, right? Amirite?

    ... Right?

Moving on. I was first introduced to TelltaleGames' The Walking Dead through me dad. He was (and still is) a big fan of the comics, which led to him finding out about the game, which then led to him telling me about the game, which then led to me getting interested in the game, which then led to me playing it. Needless to say, I got hooked. The characters were realistically written (well, most of 'em), the story was nicely paced... I started discovering more of TT's games, some of which include The Wolf Among Us, Tales From The Borderlands and Game of Thrones. Eventually I decided Hey, why not register at TTG's forums? I want in on the action! and thus, here I am.

    Hope to see y'all around.

  • What's up, everyone? My name is John, aka Misanthrope on the Telltale Forums. I've been a member here since the beginning, although I haven't visited in... 7 years? Oops. My bad. That doesn't mean I haven't been enjoying TTG's great games! I came here because of Sam & Max and the excitement of their rebirth under TTG. I'm proud of the company, watching them grow from scratch to an industry leader. The old Graham Annable animations you had to click on... good times.

I'd like to believe that I have a good mind for game design and creative, yet I don't have the coding experience under my belt. Yet.
Ever since I was a kid playing Sam & Max Hit the Road in 1994, I wanted to create an adventure game of my own. My path hasn't really lead to that point so far, although I have been developing what could be my first project over the past few years. Doing it solo definitely has it's limitations. I would love to speak to someone with TTG about my idea and have them critique and let me know what they think.

  • @Misanthrope Hey there, welcome back, if I can be of any help, I'd love to critique things for you and help you in whatever way possible, you can PM me or add me on Steam if you have one (names is the same as here).

I appreciate that, Awesomeo. Are you an employee of TTG? If so, I'd have to refrain from giving out too many details of the project. I prefer to keep my ideas close to vest since there are many people out there who would readily steal a great idea.
What I can talk about is my idea evolved from wanting to do voiceover work and writing my own material for that work. It started out as an idea for a mere animated comic/cartoon, but I figured if I can mix in my love of gaming and experience of how a great adventure game is set up, I can hit a grand-slam with it.
It revolves around a guy who's life is complete crap. Kicked out of his current home, he's forced to find an apartment in the worst part of a big (dysfunctional) city. There will be recurring characters introduced throughout the series, as I figured doing it episodically like TTG would make it much easier to do, since I'm a one man team at the moment. I'd be able to tell different stories while keeping the same assets and things like that. Since the idea originated as a comic, I have a certain visual art style in mind which I don't believe has been done before in an adventure game, so I have to keep that secret for now as well.
I fully intend for the series to be hysterical, as most great adventures are. Characters will have interesting and creative names based on their person. I already have solid ideas for at least 3 episodes while others are still being worked on. Each episode will tell it's own story while maintaining an arc throughout the series, introducing new characters on the way.
In the first episode, while the player is being introduced to the world, they will have a run in with the local mafia, the main antagonists of the series. While being the mafia, they are still a little silly. Think Rocky and Mugsy from Looney Tunes. There's still a whole lot more to get into, but for now, that's all I'm comfortable putting out there. Thank you for the interest.

Right now the project is still being written. I need to feel that I can't make it any better.

Well, I know trusting a person online would be pretty stupid, for what it's worth I give you my promise to keep everything secret if you ever decide to tell anyone anything about it, I know how much sweat people put into their creations and I'd hate to see someone's creation snatched from them.

Your idea sounds good, I'm a sucker for retro adventure games (Sam & Max, Monkey Island etc.) with a good kick of humor in them.

The only help I can offer you (if you ever need any) would be with writing and what not, I'm writing as a hobby and can show you some of my work if you ever need someone to fill a gap for you or what not.. Just PM me if you need any advice.

Either way, it's your choice, I might even donate a few bucks if you put it on Kickstarter. Good luck :)

  • I'm not sure how I feel about kickstarters, to be honest. I don't really trust half of them and I'm not much for begging or asking for money. If it ever gets to the point where there are no other options, then I might feel inclined. Right now I'm sticking with writing and developing. I have a cousin going to school for game design so I'm sure he'll help me out or join forces with me.

What would really be amazing is if TTG would actually release that public tool, but if I were TTG, I'd be extremely wary. It would almost be like selling off some seeds of a money tree that you invented.

I'd love to see TTG incorporate a NYC office, so I can go visit, and visit, and visit.

  • I'm also curious if there's anyone else still around from the Big Bang in 2005. Am I the longest surviving member around here?

  • Probably xD

  • I was certainly following Telltale from the first Sam & Max announcement, after LucasArts threw out the game they were in the middle of making, but as you can see, I didn't actually create an account here 'til 2007, when I could buy Sam & Max Season 1 in its entirety. I only had dialup at the time and wasn't thrilled about the idea of downloading megabytes, so waited for the bonus DVD.

There are lots of ideas out there for adventures. What will make yours successful is how well you can put it together, and what it plays like. You don't have to worry about Telltale stealing your ideas, though, as they're only interested in big intellectual properties with built-in fan bases these days. (Though there was a side comment about an original IP being proposed, so we'll have to see if that really happens.) Telltale has kept their Tool proprietary, despite many who have begged for it over the years.

Something that wasn't the case as much in 2005: You should keep mobile devices on your mind while developing. Could someone play your game on the train to/from work or on the road?

    Good luck!

  • I was never worried about TTG taking any of my ideas. I was more concerned about shadowy individuals. Cross-platform is definitely a must these days if you want any type of real distribution. Still, I'm nowhere close to even thinking about coding. After I get one or two solid episodes written and mapped out to my liking, then I'll start working on art design. My only concern is just the insane amount of time I'm looking at doing this alone, and the eventual balding I might experience.

  • Mortempool.

I'm an introvert who plays a lot of games and daydreams about slaughtering people in their sleep, wielding a bloodied chainsaw. I'd hack them into tiny pieces and write my initials on their remains using their own blood, cackling about death and disaster as the full moon rises slowly and dramatically in the background, casting light over my blood-spattered face. Then I'd laugh once more, pull out a bottle of whiskey from thin air, and down the contents in one go before tossing it away and passing out.

    Murder and underage drinking.

Sometimes I wonder about my mental state.

Well, a little bit later than never. Hey there, I'm the GreatLeoDio and if you have any questions as to how I got my username, well, check the "how did you get your username?" section. Aside from that, I joined on New Years Eve after my brother bought me Tales From The Borderlands and got me absolutely obsessed with the series and then I realized I needed discussion, right then and there.

I also own the Walking Depression season two and Wolf Among Us, I still have to beat both. Aside from that, I have a massive library for my 3DS, Xbox 360 and computer (I'm basically enslaved to EA with having every game of the Sims from Sims 2 onwards). I really love video games and have been playing them since I was a young child.
