I just caught up it, and I like it. It has nothing on the experience the game gives you IMO but it is still a great new look on the story that dives a lot deeper into it.
Bigby is a hunk
That's the point :P
I find Bigby to be one of the more attractive male Fables; even though Beast is described by Cinderella as handsome, I think Bigby is more handsome!!!
Cuz in the game he is a leftover from the plot of Ep.1 (which was a completely different plot to the one the other Episodes followed)
He was the Boy Who Cried Wolf and was meant to become Bigby's Deputy :P
Kinda, Snow was going to come back in Episode 2...
It would've gone against canon in a way though; in the comics Bigby is adamant that he doesn't do sidekicks or deputies (except his lovely wife of course :P)
But there were a whole host of other reasons for the plot being changed...

Here is the original plot as I understand it:
* There was an actual serial killer who killed Mundies and Fables alike
* Bigby would be… more framed as the murderer
* The Mundy police would follow Bigby around (Brannigan especially) and they would discover the existence of Fabletown
* Bigby would have a Deputy to help him
* The finale of Ep.5 would allow you to walk around and interact with things in the Business Office, particularly the Magic Mirror...
I kinda smirked when Toad made a sarcastic remark to Bigby referencing Batman (when Bigby begins piece together that something is not right in Toad's place):
"Oh, give him a cape and a cowl, here's the World's Greatest detective!"
Or Fables may be reading DC and Marvel comics too. Remember, Pinocchio, Boy Blue, and Flycatcher used to read lots of comic books (which could mean even DC and Marvels comics can be sold in Fabletown), and Pinocchio himself has huge comic book collection.
Also, Pinocchio dresses himself up as Professor X (of X-men) in SuperTeam, so yeah, Marvel and DC comics are even read in Fabletown, that's my guess.
I think the Fables are just literary characters from before a certain time...
The 'oldest' Fable story is probably The Count Of Monte Christo which was published in the 1800's. Maybe Fables doesn't include characters past the 19th century??
Yeah it was interesting to see Rose Red (although I hate her character now). It was a nice cameo.
Surprising thing is, generally I really hate Jack (in the main series I dislike him, and I especially hate him in his spin-off, Jack of Fables), but I was pleased with his reaction to Faith's death and catching the guy who did it.
Also, I like how they give more in-depth looks at the fairy tales, in one of previous issues, story of Faith, and in this issue, Gren's version of Red Riding Hood Story.
Kinda bummed that they didn't have Gren insult Snow though. I loved that moment Gren insulted Snow, and I just whacked him then.
In terms of next issue, it would be interesting to see whether Bigby rips Gren's arm off or not. From what I've seen, it seems unlikely, but I guess we'll have to see.
Just hanging around with Jack, being his girlfriend.
As for the image, sorry mate, kinda busy at the moment.....(maybe somebody else can upload an image for you).
Ha thnx man!!
Nice little reference to the Jack of Fables series by having Jack mention Paul Bunyan and Babe the Big Blue Ox XD
I expected Rose to wear something different though, her clothes match the ones in the comics 20 years later :P
Yeah, he DID swear a bit too much at times but that's what gave Gren that little dash of something rememorable and enjoyable. I'm hoping he'll pick up later down the road...looking forward to the bar scene when he's 'high'. XD

Read it for free on [Link Removed] XD
Episode 9 is out. Its got some great lines, lol. And anyone who hasnt played the game is going to get a big suprise at the end.
What's the big surprise? Is it the lack of a head on the doorstep?
Did you read it yet?
One thing i really like is the constantly changing art style.
No but I don't care for spoilers (hence why I spoiler tagged these comments)
So what's the surprise??
I'll just say, it has to do with Snows doppelgänger
Just received it and flicked through it (will read properly tonight), and yeah that was a surprise.
Love how they're filling in the gaps/blanks in the game.
Guess it kinda enriches the experience for those who have played TWAU game already.

I like how Bibgy and Snow are drawn. Bigby is a hunk lol
That's the point :P

Well, i think Biggs in TWAU looks better than his comics version that looks like a fist.
It depends on which panel in the comics; Bigby can look ugly, handsome, cute, rugged, evil etc...
They did not include Cryer. I wonder why...

Oh, so he was supposed to take Snow's place after she died.
Kinda, Snow was going to come back in Episode 2...

I know about all that but i wonder if the original plot was good.
Here is the original plot as I understand it:
Oh, that sounds so cool, sad they had to change it i wonder if the killer would've been Mary... hm
We will never know... TellTale doesn't like this sort of info getting out
I heard this from other people...
I kinda smirked when Toad made a sarcastic remark to Bigby referencing Batman (when Bigby begins piece together that something is not right in Toad's place):

I didn't expect that.
I wouldn't be surprised if they knew him personally. He is a comic book character
Wait a second! Does this means Batman is a fable?
In this universe, probably lol

Issue 10 is out guys and we get to see a new face, or least game only fans do. I'm really loving this comic more and more.

So what was Rose's cameo specifically?
Do you have an image of what she looked like?
Just hanging around with Jack, being his girlfriend.
As for the image, sorry mate, kinda busy at the moment.....(maybe somebody else can upload an image for you).
So she is already Jack's girlfriend, interesting
That's ok, I'm not desperate for it :P
Here you go:

I didn't expect Rose to wear anything different, considering Jack doesn't.
Hopefully gren does something to dum in the funeral scene other than just awkwardly stare at him after pinning him down
Where is the abrassive Gren I know and fell in love with during the game...:(
Matthew Sturges decided he was too much of a sweary prick for the comic? :P
Yeah, he DID swear a bit too much at times but that's what gave Gren that little dash of something rememorable and enjoyable. I'm hoping he'll pick up later down the road...looking forward to the bar scene when he's 'high'. XD
"I haven't felt this good in a looooooooong time, fat boy"
Oh yeah, he needs to be at that same level of chill XD
