I'm a sucker for a good shootout, so the Russian standoff in S2 E5 of the Walking Dead blew me away (pun intended). It's brutal, tense and well-coreographed; verything a good action scene should be.
Contrast it with the bandit attack during 'Long Road Ahead'. The difference is very noticeable.
That's really just the tip of the iceberg though. There's plenty of scenes in The Walking Dead, GoT and TWAU that could be argued.
I agree with the shootout from Season 2. While it doesn't make sense how no one from our side died, the whole thing was very tense and was nerve racking.
TWD S1
TWD S2
TWAU
TFTBL
GOT
Nice list!
After the fight against Woody in the TWAU. Bigby and Faith talking with the romantic music in the background was so well done.
Thank you.
Yeah, you're right. By the way, you could have been talking with Nerissa
Finding Snow's head on the steps is my all time favourite. When the music has started I was so damn tense, perfect and shocking scene
The Wolf Among Us has too many good scenes, so I'm giving it its own category:
Ben died earlier in my playthrough so I never saw this scene until I watched someone's YouTube Let's Play, but I agree. That scene was pulled off really well!
Nice list! By the way, I'm pleased to see that you also considered the games from the Telltale point and click era.
Walking Dead -
Meeting Clem for the first time, the whole St.John scene after finding Mark, the first time meeting Omid and Christa and bringing the truck down, the whole scene in that town (cant believe I forget its name), and the facedown with the Stranger. In S2, I enjoyed the Ep2 bridge and cabin scene as well as turning on the speakers in Ep3.
Wolf Among Us -
The whole intro scene, finding Faith's head, Lawrence apartment, Pudding n Pie and Open Arms scene, searching Crane's apartment (determinant), Tweedle fight, BM fight and trial.
Tales from the Borderlands -
LoaderBot fight, Rhys and Sasha meeting Zer0, and. Fiona's race scene. This list will probably be a lot longer when the season is finished.
Game of Thrones -
Red Wedding, Ethan and Ramsay/Mira and Cersei's "conversation", Asher's fight at the beginning of Ep2, talking with Jon Snow on top of the Wall, and the funeral scene at the end of Ep2. Same applies to this, the list will probably be a lot longer by the time the season is finished.
I agree with everything on you list... it's hard to believe that three years have passed since the first time we met Clementine.
Singlehandedly the greatest scene Telltale ever crafted.
The voice acting was top-notch (Rodrick and Talia in particular nail it).
The animation was surprisingly amazing too. The blue flames, Gwyn's design, Talia's lip syncing for the song and Rodrick, Royland, Duncan and Lady Foresters very expressive sadness during the whole scene (particularly Royland, didn't expect him to break down as he did).
The song was beautiful. I still remember all the lyrics off the top of my head.
It perfectly sets up the next episode. It shows just what the Foresters have lost and how much vengeance Rodrick and Elissa are going to seek.
No-one is out of character. Notice there is no straight 'evil' options in this scene. This makes sense seeing as how this is a funeral. I also loved we saw a vunerable side of Royland.
The ending itself is perfect. Talia's song, Mira washing blood of of her, Gared standing on the Wall, Asher, Malcolm and Beshka all looking badass leaving Essos, Lady Forester breaking down, the way you honour Ethan and Gregor by saying they were honorable, kind etc. Duncan and Royland's reaction, the glimmer of hope (Rodrick is alive and Talia's last line is 'Still iron rules anew') complete with Rodrick's badass stare. Perfect.
All those and more are why the funeral scene from 'The Lost Lords' gets my pick as Telltale's greatest scene ever.
That was a very powerful scene, and it will most likely remain my favorite scene from GOT even though the series isn't over yet.
Right; from the music to the animations, everything is perfect in that scene.
It only seems like yesterday.
Damn straight!
The trial in TWAU: One of the most amazing confrontations with a villain I'ver ever experienced, maybe one of the biggest dilemmas in a Telltale game for me.
expect Ethan dead ಥ╭╮ಥ
Wow, there's been quite a few:
Lee and Clem at the end of season 1.
Kenny and Ben having it out with each other.
Snow being alive in episode 2 of TWAU.
When Bigby turns into his full wolf form (that was amazing!)
The funeral in GoT episode 2. Such a powerful scene, especially when Talia starts singing. I couldn't resist shedding a tear.
Lee cutting Clem's hair and teaching her how to shoot.
When Loaderbot landed on one of the bandits and said "Hi". Classic.
I can't remember what episode it's from but I loved the first time you go to the Pudding and Pie and confront Georgie in TWAU. Even if you choose not to mess any of his shit up, it's still really tense and cool. Also really liked the scene where you discover Greenleaf has glamoured herself, don't know why but I think it's the music partly. One thing about TT is that their recent games have awesome soundtracks, which I love. In TFTB the intro was amazing, I loved the Loaderbot vs bandits fight, both "blow his mind" and "break his heart" scenes, Rhys' master-plan, the conversation between him and Sasha when he's hacking the lift system, and of course that big chariot race thing where everyone dies.
It's from Episode 2, Smoke and Mirrors.
Bigby wolfing out when he first meets bloody Mary! I remember having the stupidest grin on my face when getting the option to kill Dum.
Or the Car chase which also made me lose my shit.
So many perfect scene's in TWAU to choose from....
Even though I think I think Season 1 of Walking Dead was better I also think Season 2 has way more intense (better) scenes overall.

Sam & Max...I love these 2 scenes from S01:
Sam: (reading advertisement in Bosco's) Big smokes.
Max: Don't smoke kids! Unless you're on fire. Then it's only natural.
Bosco: Well, there is still one can of shaving cream the blooming skinbodies haven't got yet.
Max: Ohh, yeah, I love shaving.
Sam: That's funny, I've never seen you shave.
Max: I didn't mean myself.
Thanks!
My absolute favourite scene from any Telltale game is the very end of the Wolf Among Us, surprised this hasn't been mentioned much.
The two girls speaking in Bigby's head, the sudden realisation, then he follows her.
'I'll see you round...' Scene cuts to black '.....Wolf.'
Love it.
Just for the heck of it, I'll pick one (or more) moment(s) that stood out the most for me in all of Telltale's games.
Let's see:
Back To The Future: The Game = The guitar match with Jennifer watching. So awesome.
Jurassic Park: The Game = Man Vs. Raptor.
Poker Night 2 = Brock finds out he and Ash are related/.
The Walking Dead Season 1 = No Time Left Herd scene with the meat cleaver.
The Wolf Among Us = The fight at the end of Episode 3 with Bloody Mary and the Tweedles.
The Walking Dead Season 2 = Carver at the ski lodge. In Harm's Way herd scene in close second.
Tales From The Borderlands = Loader Bot Introduction.
Game Of Thrones = Red Wedding opening.
Yeah, I really liked how creative the boss puzzles were in Wallace and Gromit. Muzzled is one of my favorite classic Telltale episodes due in large part to that final puzzle.
Agreed 110%. Ugh, that scene was pulled off soooo well.
I wish telltale would rerelease all of their games so I can play the all on one device I cant play loads of them and might not ever play some
PLEASE TELLTALE DO A COLECTION PACK FOR NEXT GEN OR AT LEAST MAKE THEM AVAILABLE ON THERE!!!
TWAU: the fight with Woody, the alley scene w. Mary.
TWD: Lee vs. the horde, end of S1, Sewing the arm and "still not bitten", " whose baby is it?", end of A House Divided & In Harm's Way, and the campfire scene in 205.
Yeah, Telltale really did a bang up job with the Crooked Man's trial scene by creating a villain with ambiguous motives that don't cross the line into a typical caricature of "evil." Ignoring emotional impact, I'd even argue that the Crooked Man's trial was better written than the confrontation with the Stranger that Lee had in Walking Dead Episode 105. The way that Telltale played into how some players created a ruthless Bigby was really seamless, and if anything, I was only disappointed that the focus was only on how you engaged with Crooked Man's employees and/or the Woodsman depending on player choices. I didn't tear off Grendel's arm and played a nicer Bigby in general, but after watching other playthroughs with different choices made, I'd have loved to have seen Bigby get called out on tearing Grendel's arm by the Crooked Man. I also think it would'be been cool if, despite the majority being won over no matter what, you could've potentially had some people stand by the Crooked Man at the end of the trial depending on your choices instead of just having everyone stand by Bigby and Snow.
REALLY GUYS!? YOU JUST "FORGOT" ABOUT THE GLORIOUS SALTLICKS!?
The Introduction of the Saltlick (That one is @SaltLick305 )

FOR THE SALTLICK SHALL RISE AGAIN!!!
I agree, to me it certainly was better written
After this episode, he's probably one of my favorite villains in any video game.
I find even better how some people dont get it until they really think about it. c:
