It wasn't for no reason, he thought Rhys is playing cool. Which he kinda did because he didn't seem scared or anything like that at the moment, more like it was controled hatred.

My best guess based on looks alone, at least.
I find it interesting that Fiona uses the walker's animation, while the Psycho uses Nick's (it's the right arm that gave it away for me), instead of the other way around (Nick and Fiona being main characters after all).
Ha, right. First time I saw this screen in one of these threads, I thought some fan had photoshopped Walter's head onto a bandit's body and painted the extras on.
Oh, thought that sniper rifle from your third point was the Reaver's Edge, but I see the similarities now. Shame, since Vaughn will say he wants a Reaver's Edge if you stay silent long enough when he asks you what the first thing you'll buy is.
Like I mentioned in another thread, you can see bandits holding Legendary Guns from Borderlands 2.
The person capturing Rhys and Fiona at… more the beginning (and interrogates them) uses a Conference Call (Legendary Hyperion Shotgun)
The bandit sniping another near the start of the game uses a Skullmasher (Legendary Jakobs Sniper from all 3 BL games)
A random psycho at the end dual wields two Unkempt Harolds (Legendary Torgue Pistols. Known as the most OP gun of BL2)
They both seem to be Zafford goons (seems Zafords and Hodunks will make a major appearance in TFTB), so maybe that's why they are alike. Not sure about the one on the left. He's not wearing green nor the cap, so probably just reused model.
I've been assuming that's because Rhys might damage his arm if he used it for hitting. Just because it's a robotic arm doesn't mean it's tough enough to handle the force from a punch. Like, my laptop would hurt if I swung it at someone, but that would likely damage the laptop as well.
Maybe that's one reason Rhys' arm changes, the old one wasn't robust enough for long term use on Pandora.
It's not really a secret thing to notice, but I loved that every time Rhys punched or attacked someone (at least in my playthroughs), he use… mores his non-robotic arm. I laughed out loud when he hurts his hand punching the bandit or when he fails to kill the one on the catwalk with his normal arm, while presumably his awesome robot arm would have no problem punching people or breaking a neck. I like to think this was intentional (and that maybe at some point some character will comment on why he doesn't use his metal arm to hit people).
Did anyone else notice that when Fiona wakes up after the caravan crashes at the murder rally, her finger nails are no longer blue but have faded to match her skin tone, and they remain like that until the end of the episode? Weird.
The little radio Rhys holds in his hand during the intro is an ECHO device, which is basically like a smartphone, but much more advanced. It comes with a HUD and a minimap in all 3 Borderlands games.
The man being shot in the intro is a Zaford, one of the two clans involved in an ongoing feud with the Hodunks, which is where Tector comes from.
The rifle used to shoot the Zaford is a Skullmasher, a legendary Jakobs sniper rifle that thinks it's a shotgun.
The skag being run over in the beginning is a reference to Borderlands 1 and Borderlands 2, which both had a skag dying in the intro.
Rudger is a Badass Marauder, judging from the armour he wears.
That fat guy that gives Rhys a lot of trouble with his stun baton? That's a Nomad, who have higher intelligence than most bandits and wear lots of padded body armour, use assault rifles and some carry shields.
Bewm is the second boss you meet in Borderlands 2. And yes, they enjoy hurling explosives at people.
Shade is an NPC from the first Borderlands 2 DLC, Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty. The reason why he's pretending to be dead and insisting that he's totally not insane from dehydration was that, in the desert town of Oasis, he stuffed ECHO recorders into his dead friends and imitated their voices.
Professor Nakayama appears twice-first in Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt, where he wants to be (and fails to be) the next Handsome Jack. He dies by falling down a set of stairs just as he is about to fight you. He also appears in the Pre-Sequel, where he helped create Handsome Jack's computer ghost.
Commandant Steele was the main antagonist of Borderlands 1, leading Atlas's private army of mercs to attack the Vault Hunters. She was killed by the creature in the Vault, and an overly-pissed-off Claptrap reprogrammed her to be part of the Robolution in a DLC.
In Hollow Point, an ad for "Engorge", a sex drug, can be seen. The man on the board is Mr. Shank, one of the more pleasant and likable antagonists of The Secret Armoury Of General Knoxx, and Athena encrypted her secret messages to the Vault Hunters between awkward ads for the drug.
The guy in the turban at the bar is a Sand Pirate, one of the enemy types in the Captain Scarlett DLC.
The big crystal thing in the museum near August is a Crystalik, which are part of the murderous wildlife in Borderlands 2. They can be only killed by shooting the crystals off their legs.
Why is August missing when he tries to shoot the protagonists, but not the psychos? Well, his Jakobs Widow Maker has a Torgue pistol barrel, which trades damage for lowered accuracy. The big rectangular sight is a Tediore sight, which narrows down your view onto the target. It's great, but blocks your view a bit.
Fiona's derringer is also a Jakobs. Jakobs can NOT have any elements unless they're from DLCs, but they can fire as fast as you can click your trackpad/mouse/mash your button and they have ridiculously high damage. This is why they're very popular among players-they're useful for any situation!
Felix's cool revolver? That's a Jakobs Iron. You should look out for those-the barrel is also made by Jakobs, giving it a damage bonus. It's also accurate and can be used as a primary if you play as Zero or Salvador the Gunzerker.
The golden finish on those weapons is the ones found on purple-rarity guns. However, those are quite rare, so you might not always find one in Borderlands 2, unless you're lucky.
The grenade Loader Bot has is a Quaser, a legendary shock grenade from Hyperion. It is amazing. The shield can be found on annoying Bul Loaders, who will block your bullets with their shields unless you flank them or chuck a grenade at them.
The vehicle Bossanova drives is a Bandit Technical, which can hold up to four players and can chuck either flaming sawblades or exploding barrels.
Zer0 is normally a sniper or a gunslinger, but most of the time in this game, he seems to be using his blue katana for general combat. This indicates that he specialises in the "Bloodshed" tree, which is basically skills that specialise in using bayonets or his sword A LOT. It's also very popular with players.
The big-ass Skag that charges out of the tunnel near the climax? It's an Alpha Skag, which are big, nasty, and a pain in the ass.
The shotgun Vaughn uses is the "Oberkill". It's got three barrels, terrible accuracy and a ridiculously huge magazine size. Your typical bandit weapon, then.
One of the three bandits that assault Zero is dual wielding the famous Torgue Unkempt Harold, which is great for Salvador and blows people to bits within seconds. You can't pick it up, though.
Sasha's Maliwan SMG, judging by the look of it, is green-rarity, due to it looking more worn than the rarer (and prettier) blue or purple ones.
Why does Sasha's SMG fire blue rounds? That is the shock element, and it is the most versatile element in the game-it can deal out heavy amounts of damage and wreck shields at the same time. AWESOME!
Why is the Atlas Silver so rare? Atlas made nearly all the best guns in Borderlands 1, and Atlas NEVER made SMGs. EVER.
Also, didn't get screen caps because I was so taken by the majesty of the scene - but if you equip Loader Bot with the riot shield and grena… moredes (which apparently only 9.9% of players picked) the final jail-breaked bandit fight is insane!
He picks up Rhys and Vaughn and flies them into the air before electrocuting all the bandits on the ground, then he throws a grenade at Rhys who uses his stun baton as a bat, and effectively delivers a killer home run.
Definitely worth a replay if you didn't make that choice first time round!

Thanks! A lot of people now know the lore but not the other stuff, so I'm gonna explain it to them.
Bloodshed is OP as heck.
I really wish that they would remove Bul Loaders. They really piss me off and I have to chuck my Tediore grenade at them several times to get them to open up.
Aye, it's the armour.
OH, AND I FORGOT SOMETHING-
The sexy voice that speaks to Zero? That is the sexiest woman on Pandora, according to most accounts-Mad Moxxi. Seriously. Just, search her up and go "DAYUUUUUUMMMM!"
Omg, if I hadn't played through Borderlands 2 already, I'll praise you all time every time. You explained everything so well and accurately.… more
Ha, that's funny because I was going with the Bloodshed tree And I hated Alpha Skags in BL1, they're not that bad in BL2.
Yeah, Bul Loaders are annoying. Unless you have a corrosive weapon.
Yep, Rudiger is a Badass Marauder.

I mean, you seen the others? THEY ALL LOOK THE DAMN SAME.
I mean, it's a clan, but if you've seen more of their private army of distant relations from the Wedding Day Massacre DLC, they all wear bowler hats and green down vests and shamrocks.
Don't think that's Reaver's Edge. Vaughn says it's a Dahl. That rifle's the Jakobs Skullmasher, which thinks it's a shotgun when it's a sniper rifle. How exactly the bandit managed to kill the Zaford with the spread and all, I don't know.

Gentlemen, FEAST YOUR EYES ON THAT WOMAN WHO'LL GIVE YOU TWO FREE SMGS OUT OF HER CLEAVAGE IF YOU TIP HER HARD ENOUGH:
(Note: You don't actually get to bang her. Sorry.)
I can imagine a Sasha death glare.
And after is like:

S: 'No.'
R: 'Please?'
S: 'NO, NOW SHUT THE HELL UP!!!' Crotch kick
S: 'Guess you'll be need some more cybernetics.'

"Have you met the Hodunks? Bastards. They think just because you're born into their stupid clan, they can tell you do what they tell you do, date who they tell you to date, murder who they tell you to murder. (Slipping back into her old redneck accent) Man, I so glad me and the kids left their stupid-oh. Oh Crap. Did I slip back into the accent? Don't. Tell. ANYONE!"
I like tipping Moxxi just for the conversations, didn't know you could get SMGs from her.
My favorite dialog from her when you tip her is when she slips into her old accent.
I'm on the fence about Moxxi. I sort of liked her until I heard an ECHO stuffed in a car at Ellie's garage where she talks about how she wants her daughter to lose some weight and wear makeup. Sort of struck a chord with me, as my stepmom was the exact same way when I was starting high school. I get that Mox wants what's best for her daughter, but accepting your kid for who they are is a part of being a good parent.
I don't actively hate Moxxi or anything, I'm just sort of "meh, boo" about her.

That's pretty funny but I hope RhysXSasha isn't canon. I hope Telltale does something cool like implant a romance factor in this game so based on how you treat each character has a factor on whether or not you get together with them.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but I just now noticed that Vasquez has a golden robotic pinkie finger!
Hmm, I didn't see that. Nice catch!
Seems like Episode 2 foreshadowing in retrospect if that preview clip was anything to go off of.

Oh, and the Purple Skag has a Bananang (is that how TTG spells it?) tap. I forget if that's what it's actually called in this game, but it's there.
I wish I could say this.
But Grand Theft Auto V's credits... aaAAAUUuuuUUuhughh.
How LONG was that?
Not only does Rhys have his own hacking program, he continues to name all of his files/accounts dorky things.
Here's the scene if you walk past Nakayama's corpse.
(Vaughn knocks into Nakayama and the ID chip falls off)
I like how the scene changes and gives you different dialog.
Rhys, you dorky bastard.

The two guns look fairly similar.
Yeah, I just assumed the right side guy is Mick.

Maybe if you had spent more time on upping Hyperion's security instead of chasing after the Vault, you could have thwarted Felix.

I want Moxxi to call Rhys sugar if we ever meet her in TFTB.

Loaders are the absolute worst. I let Deathtrap deal with them.
Skag pups are actually sort of cute
You didn't remember that Rhys picked it up?
Maaaaaaaybe he gets a new one or something.
Or a proper gun, who knows!

Yeah, that kind of ticked me off a little. At least they reconcile before the end of BL2.
For the most part, I like her just fine, plus her daughter and son, although her son's kind of creepy.
That's pretty funny but I hope RhysXSasha isn't canon. I hope Telltale does something cool like implant a romance factor in this game so based on how you treat each character has a factor on whether or not you get together with them.
