Could you guys recommend me some point n' click adventure games?

    Any TTG (obviously. )

  • Perhaps no? You see, a game franchise like AC is too big to not be missed by a History Geek like I.

Thanks for your efforts for an alternate/fantasy history where the main character experiences his "ancestral memories" via machine of the 2010's.

    Perhaps Assassin's Creed series?

  • Easy there, buddy. It was just a suggestion.

Hey, buddy, I thanked you, didn't I? Excuse me, since I had the feeling that your suggestion was a bit sarcastic.

  • I seen a lot of good things from "This War of Mine". Move a very small group of people around in civilian like areas to scavenge for items to survive a brutal war.

  • I have to disagree,kinda.

I found Deadly Premonition to be a damn good game, with a damn good story, and damn good characters.

I genuinely recommend it as an example of a perfect game.

I'm going to recommend a game that's so bad its funny, its called Deadly Premonition. Biscuits The gameplay is completely terrible but

  • I can't agree with any TTG because the new telltale games aren't point n' click adventure games they're point n' click story driven choice simulator 2015's I could only agree with S&M and Tales of monkey island

Thou grim fandango is the type of game i was adressing when i asked for recommendations so when the remastered version came out I picked it right up and im on year 4 right now!

Grim Fandango Life Is Strange Any TTG (obviously. )

  • The game itself is a ton of fun, though it looks a bit dated, and there are tons of total conversion mods. There is also a fun, though difficult, multiplayer.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll be checking it out as soon as I'm free(er)

  • Its a cool game but thats a different genre I think of course I played it thou but its gets repetitive

  • It wasn't. How about those:

    • Chivalry: Medieval Warfare;

    • Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars;

    • the upcoming Kingdom Come: Deliverance?

I'm waiting for the last one myself, it looks great.

The Broken Sword series is a must play if you're into adventure games - well, it is for me anyway. In order, it goes like this:
Broken Sword The Shadow of the Templar's ( Try and avoid the director's cut),
    Broken Sword The Smoking Mirror,
    Broken Sword The Sleeping Dragon,
Broken Sword The Angel of Death (This one is good, but the puzzles are illogical towards the end) and
    Broken Sword The Serpent's Curse.

It's deemed abandonware I guess, but Discworld Noir is a good detective adventure based on the Discworld novels.

If you're looking for adventure games, this site is literally the best place to find them all: http://adventuregamers.com/

There was also one called the book of unwritten tales: Critter Chronicles. :D

I've yet to play that, but it came out after 1, but isn't considered 2...must be a side story or something.

  • Ah, that does explain it. I'm not sure why, but I keep forgetting to pick these games up. They sound like something I'd really enjoy.

    Ignore this comment.

  • I second this.

Probably because this game is pretty much a love letter to the tv show,Twin Peaks(At least that's how I see it). A badly written one, but a love letter nontheless. If you haven't watched the show, I highly suggest it to anyone willing to give it a try.

The first Broken Sword is very good, I've almost finished it. I have the first four, gonna get the 5th and last one pretty soon. There are some really good adventure games on Steam, like The Book of Unwritten Tales. One of my favourites.

  • In terms of great story driven games I would recommend the following:

    • LA Noire. Great detective game set in 1940s LA. Feels a bit like a TV series with each case being a new episode.Wait for it to be on sale on Steam
    • To The Moon. Truly one of the greatest stories in gaming history. Old fashioned 16 bit RPG gameplay but the story more than makes up for it
    • Spec Ops: The Line. A great commentary on both violent video games and US foreign policy.
    • Deus Ex and Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
    • Gabriel Knight series. Great writing and storytelling, really advanced for its time.
  • Some good choices there. :)

  • Have it on PC, fucking amazing game, excellent soundtrack too.

Transistor. Only available on PS4, but I think it's free for the moment (or was?). A fantastic indie game with a unique/beautiful art style and superb soundtrack. The gameplay is pretty cool as well, but it takes a little while to master it.

  • So if anyone knows of an extremely good game that's really short I'd appreciate that, I love games and some of my favourites are long RPGs like Golden Sun, Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI(That's 6 AKA the best one), but I've been wanting to play a game like that and they're all really long so if there's something like that that is short for PC, GameCube, GBA or N64 (It's what I have and yeah I know that definitely doesn't exist on N64), alternatively I could really use more tactics games like Tactics Ogre, Valkirya Chronicles and Fire Emblem, I'll make time for that somehow, I love those kinds of games too much, which probably means I should get a 3DS and a PSP since they have tons of those.

Anyway games I think more people should play are the TimeSplitters series because seriously they are probably the best FPS games ever and damned funny too, sadly you will need a Gamecube, Xbox or a PS2 to play them and if I recall correctly the first one is only on PS2.

Previously mentioned Golden Sun are excellent RPGs, I don't know they're just fucking good if you have a GBA or if they're available on the virtual console get them, speaking only about the first one and Lost Age, never played Dark Dawn on the DS.

Oh yeah and before I forget, I'm looking for a really good arcadey racer, I don't know what to get, my favourite racing games are F-Zero X and GX/AC, the original Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 on the GameCube and PS2, Re-Volt and Mario Kart Double Dash, I'm really not into sims though.
