  • I am there when you sleep, I am gone when you awake.

I have brought you joy, and I have brought you fear.

    What am I?

    (I'm not that original :P)

  • Three gods A, B, and C are called, in no particular order, True, False, and Random. True always speaks truly, False always speaks falsely, but whether Random speaks truly or falsely is a completely random matter. Your task is to determine the identities of A, B, and C by asking three yes-no questions; each question must be put to exactly one god. The gods understand English, but will answer all questions in their own language, in which the words for yes and no are da and ja, in some order. You do not know which word means which.

This riddle drove me insane until I thought that it must be impossible and looked it up.

  • No Idea.

  • Einstein's riddle

    The situation

There are 5 houses in five different colors.
In each house lives a person with a different nationality.
These five owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar and keep a certain pet.
No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar or drink the same beverage.
The question is: Who owns the fish?

    Hints

The Brit lives in the red house.
The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
    The Dane drinks tea.
The green house is on the left of the white house.
The green house's owner drinks coffee.
The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
The man living in the center house drinks milk.
The Norwegian lives in the first house.
The man who smokes blends lives next to the one who keeps cats.
The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
The owner who smokes BlueMaster drinks beer.
    The German smokes Prince.
The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
The man who smokes blend has a neighbor who drinks water.

  • I have arms, tails, heads, and legs but am not a living thing. (This will be ESPECIALLY hard for those who have never been to Australia).

  • Einstein wrote this riddle this century. He said that 98% of the world could not solve it.

Einstein also lived in a different era, people are a lot smarter than they were sixty years ago. IQS have rose thirty points in the last 30 years or so.

  • not really a riddle but..

This is a story about a girl. While at the funeral of her mother, she met a man whom she did not know. She thought he was amazing, her dream guy, and she fell in love with him but never asked for his number and could not find him after the funeral. A few days later the girl killed her sister.
Question: What is her motive in killing her sister?

  • Answer:  She was hoping that the guy would appear at the sister's funeral.

If you  answered this correctly, you think like a psychopath. This was a test a  famous American psychologist used to test if one has the same mentality as a killer. !
Many arrested serial killers took this test and answered it correctly.
If you didn't answer correctly - good for you. list... unless that will tick you off, then I'll just be extra nice to you from now on.

Is the meaning of "da" and "ja" the same to all the Gods though? I assume they are. If so, I think I'm close.

  • Suppose that you are standing in a hallway next to 3 light switches, which are all off. There is another room down the hallway, where there are 3 incandescent light bulbs – each light bulb is operated by one of the switches in the hallway. Because the light bulbs are in another room, you can not see them since you are standing in the hallway. How would you figure out which switch operates which light bulb, if you can only go the room with the light bulbs one time, and only one time?

  • Like I said its an impossible riddle, no way anyone could get it.

Jerry is a fish and Larry is a dog, and Larry knocked over the fish bowl.

    Don't worry, I am too.

Edit: Really though, this question is pretty obvious. She has one problem, as stated in the question, and as such I wouldn't expect her motive to go beyond the scope of the information I'm given.

It wouldn't make sense if the answer was something like, "She took her bucket of KFC," because it has nothing to do with her dilemma or the information given.
