Irrational Childhood Fears

I remember when I was little, the Snee-Oosh company logo at the end of the credits of Hey Arnold used to scare me lol

Here's the logo incase nobody knows what I'm talking about.
creepy

I was also afraid of the buzzing from the Operation board game when I was like 3.

When I was a little kid I was terrified of a little talking christmas tree and taking pictures with the easter bunny. I thought they were gonna eat me.

I was scared of all types of dogs (except wiener dogs because they didn't seem scary to me) until I was around 11. I would literally climb a tree or run to my house and go inside if I saw a dog when I was outside playing with my friends.

  • My sister was afraid of anything in a costume until age five or six.

    Girls. Yes, even my sister.

  • But Weiner dogs are vicious! There was one that used to chase anyone who walked near its house, even following them up the street and biting ankles. That thing gave me so much grief on the way home from school.

I cheered when I heard the little bastard got run over.

  • Did some event in your life trigger this fear of girls?

    Mr. Clean

I once had a nightmare of a giant Mr.Clean ripping the roof of my house and grabbing me. He then pulled me up to his face and smiled creepily at me for an entire minute and gulped me whole.

Also, the X-files song would always make me feel uneasy

  • To be fair, Mr. Clean is a creepy motherfucker.

  • The dark. I couldn't stand it

  • to be fair that christmas tree is a really creepy looking fucker lol

When I was a little kid I was terrified of a little talking christmas tree and taking pictures with the easter bunny. I thought they were gonna eat me.

  • Teddy bears. I always hated their smile.

  • I don't blame ya. That thing looks like it's about to suck out my soul.

  • The dark. I'm still afraid of it now, but for different reasons that when I was a little kid.

  • I was terrified of the woods behind my house when it was dark. Then my dad took me way back in the woods and told me to walk back. Turns out once you make yourself face your fears, they're usually nothing but an overactive imagination. Now I love the woods at night (though I carry my trusty knife by my side).

My next conquer will be through sky diving. Can't wait!

  • Whenever someone in my house left the stove working for like ten seconds and left I allways turned it off because I was afraid it was gonna blow up...

  • I used to be afraid if I did not use my imagination everyday then it would deteriorate and be gone forever. This turned into a habit of me making up stories in my head before going to bed. Now I've turned into a better writer. (Currently I have a pretty bad fear of zombies so I can not play TWD which sucks )-: )

  • I had an insane fear of knives. I remember watching a movie where a guy got his throat slit with a knife, and that fucking scarred me. So yea, ever since I saw that I had an irrational fear of knives during my childhood.

The first time I saw the word censored in a black bar in a comic, I was seriously creeped out. It bothered me for our whole holiday vacation. Ironically, I would have been less scarred by it if they left it uncensored.

When I was really little, I was terrified of the combination of the 70s style pattern wallpaper and shadows on the walls when the lights were off in the guest bedroom of my aunt's house.

  • When Halo: Combat Evovled first came out, on the Xbox, I remember my dad getting the game and putting it in the Xbox for the first time. I would sit next to him and watch him play video games. He played some stuff like Resident Evil 2 for the Nintendo 64, too. So he kinda liked the 'scarier' games.

I was in tears within minutes of him playing it. Because of this song that played in the title screen.

Ironically, the Halo series music has now turned out to be one of my absolute favorite VG soundtracks. All the games so far have had superb music composition. It's so silly now, but back then it terrified the living shit out of me.

  • Arachnophobia the movie? I did the exact same thing after watching it.

  • The dark and Halloween stores are what I was alway afraid of as a kid...and of now

  • Crickets. Those wiley litte fuckers mean to kill us all.

  • Fuckin hell —

  • You remind me of Yukinari from Girls Bravo then, He was constantly bullied by girls growing up, then developed a Fear that eventually turned into an allergy. Are you allergic to girls Green? XD

  • When I was Younger, I watched Silent Hill: The Movie, and I saw the scene where Pyramid Head rips the girls skin off. I slept on my Bed, Next to the door to the Quarentened part of the house, and always heard some kind of animal in the, But I didn't THINK, it was an animal, So every night I'd sit there Sleepless, thinking that Pyramid Head would crash in and rip my skin off.

  • Something even scarier is when you Put a screwed up disk in the console, and then it takes you to the red screen.
