Favorite Telltale Time

This is kinda a vague, and frankly, weird thread. But this is basically where you share your favorite time of being a Telltale fan on these forums.

For me, it was last summer. The community on here was different, the Wolf Among Us section was active and I had a lot of friends in that part of the forums. Walking Dead part still had its moments. Hard to describe, but that time was really fun being a Telltale fan.

Close second would be Fall 2014, right around when Tales and Thrones were getting teased at the same time and their launches were approaching fast, which was a relief after the long break after No Going Back where we had no news or anything.

  • The Great Cow Race.

  • I'd honestly say right now, not too many fond memories of the times during TWD S2 (I'm sure many can guess why) other then waiting for the episodes. Right now the community is so much better since then, and TFTBL has to be my favorite section to be in, not only cause it's one of my favorite TT games, but also because of my amazing ass thread that hasn't dropped under front page since I created it in March ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)

  • At the end of TWD S1 things were pretty calm with all the waiting, with some chill TWAU going on. Some nice fan fictions were created, and there weren't a lot of arguments. PLUS FOTD FTW it had it's good moments.

  • I agree with you on last summer. When EP5 of Wolf Among Us came out, there was tons of threads about the Faith/Nerissa ending. Then there was the hype of EP4 and EP5 of The Walking Dead: Season 2. It was fun to speculate with everyone and see all the threads complaining about Jane, Luke, and Kenny. Opinions haven't changed much unfortunately.

  • So little known fact: I've lurked here before Season 2 came out. I really liked the pre-S2 post S1 TellTale, and I like now.

Honestly I'm not too sure. It was a ton of fun last year because The Wolf Among Us Community were so damn nice, and it was great just getting super excited and talking about the game. Tales and Thrones can be pretty nice, but the wolf among us was definitely my favorite community last year. Does anyone remember the Vine incident of the Summer of 2014? NOW that was something!

  • Vine incident of summer 2014? You mean the TWD one with Clem walking in snow?

Midnight tonight. This space. Never forget.

    WE NEVER FORGET THAT

I WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PISSED THAT NIGHT

I'm reading the thread right now (I made it btw :^]) and watching everyone go from insanely excited to devastated so quickly is not only nostalgic but tragic at the same time.

Here's the link if anyone wants a read btw.

the trailer did come literally a few days after

  • That was also a really well done trailer, so it had been worth it

  • Probably when the first episode of TFTB dropped, everyone was just having a good time, and it showed that Telltale weren't wrong in choosing Borderlands as a game despite the protest against. It was just an energy filled time.

That really was an awesome time. Everything was new and it felt awesome to be a part of it, even as a fan. Telltale's team was small, so most of them were on the forums directly talking to fans. Plus, if you made a suggestion someone on the development team would almost always weigh in on it, and you really felt like you were helping them to improve their games in the future.

Plus, they had those physical discs that had a bunch of content on them, even back in the days of Bone. I still remember around the time of Sam & Max, them starting a survey to see if enough Telltale fans had DVD-ROM drives in order to let them switch between CD-ROM and DVD-ROM releases of their games, which seems a little funny to think about, looking back, as I think this was about 2007 (if I remember correctly, it was Sam & Max: Season One, as both Bone games came on CD-ROMs), but they were pretty niche back then. I ordered as much their original stuff from their store as I could afford, and I'm glad I did since it's all pretty rare now. :)

    The Great Cow Race.

  • Probably right now. The main reason being because the Season 2 hate has died down a ton.

  • Honestly it is going to seem like a weird answer, but I'm completely serious even though this will probably need mod approval to even make it into this thread, but.... Boombox Cheetos.
