This weekend, fans at PAX Prime in Seattle are getting their hands on the very first playable beta of Minecraft: Story Mode... and we wanted to make sure we had something exciting to share with you too!
Today we can announce that Minecraft: Story Mode will be the first Telltale game series to feature a player character where YOU choose their appearance. Players will be able to select from several different options for both male and female versions of our hero Jesse.
The season will feature Patton Oswalt as male Jesse, Catherine Taber as female Jesse, Brian Posehn, Ashley Johnson, Scott Porter, Martha Plimpton, Dave Fennoy, Corey Feldman, Billy West, and Paul Reubens. Look for further casting details to come!

That's really cool! Imagine if owning other Telltale games unlocked extra skins for Jesse (which I doubt, as Minecraft is aiming for a younger audience, but then again that didn't stop Telltale Walking Dead skins from appearing in Minecraft on Xbox...)

When copying and pasting the images, I notice in the picture with Jesse and Ashley Johnson's character, it said 'Jesse_Petra' so her name might be Petra?

The Minecraft: Story Mode panel at Minecon revealed the character names, I believe. They also named the other cast members in the group and some of the characters from "The Order of the Stone."

Normally, I would question how'd that work. But, Mojang did also make a Claptrap skin for the console versions of Minecraft as well so I guess anything would be possible. :P

I just read the articles, it seems like there are a lot of optimism with the game, which is good. Also, the new screenshots looks good and interesting as well.

Ok I have to admit I've been very skeptical of this game and I still am but I'm a sucker for character customization (I know you choose pre created characters) but still)

It could easily just be a preview video/trailer they made for the booth. When people showed videos of the Tales from the Borderlands booth during interviews with Telltale Staff (since they weren't allowed to record gameplay), there were videos showing a few random scenes from the game and then the logo.

Her name was already confirmed to be Petra during the Minecon panel, we also got the names of the other characters as well. (Olivia, Axel, etc.)

They certainly seem to be optimistic about the game, which is promising.
I just read the articles, it seems like there are a lot of optimism with the game, which is good. Also, the new screenshots looks good and interesting as well.
I wonder how Telltale will do the trailers for this game with the multiple protagonist reveal. Will they just use the Jesse they're already using?
I'd imagine they will stick with the first Jesse, just as Mojang uses the generic Steve character in all their advertising.

Me too. The recent screenshots has increased my interest in the game.
I might play as the orginal Jesse because i think he looks the best out of all them, but then again why not be black! :P
