If that's the only problem, then that's pretty minor and could be worked around too. The player already knows all of that from the flamethrower guy anyway, so Sam doesn't need to reiterate it or mention exactly how the curse works in telling Josh what happened to Hannah. Just that it happened.
Or, Josh is in a pretty addled state already; maybe he deliberately ate flesh so that he could turn and stay with his sister forever. We don't know how twisted his motives are by now, but I wouldn't put it past him.
Well the problem with that is that if josh knew about the curse he wouldn't have transformed because he would know the consequences of eating human meat.
Well, there are other 'relationship' effects. Some people will or won't kiss you. One specifically won't be there to save you when you're running away in a critical moment, if you didn't treat her well.
reject you entirely, get down to her pants and shirt, or strip down to her bra and panties for the sex scene.
Ah, well...not exactly the type of consequence I was hoping for from the relationship system, but it's something I guess :P
I don't get that ending. How the hell did Josh manage to live? The Wendigo/Hannah was dragging him and was gonna kill him... Why wouldn't it murder him? Mike barely survived with guns while Josh had nothing.
Meh. Wasn't nearly as gut wrenching as the earlier suspense. It was a lot of holding still, but I just didn't find the wendigo's that terrif… moreying. The whole psycho/ghosts/stranger portion of the game was far and away more scary imo. The scenes at the end were really interesting, though I felt it ended a bit too abruptly. Would have liked a few minutes of intermingling with the group. For instance SPOILER how did Jess not know if Mike made it? They expect me to believe what? The survivors didn't even look at eachother after the end? All in all though it was a great game.
The gun choice is vital for them to live, but depending on your relationship, Ashley will either ask Chris to kill her or beg Chris to NOT kill her(If you shot her with a good relatioship, she still won't let you in).
I was talking about diversity of characterisation...
(Although in my opinion the appearance of the one female playable character in Heavy Rain being a based on a supermodel, when all other playable characters were modelled after their voice actors, is a little dodgy. Having a good female character does not preclude any instance of sexism from ever showing).
(Also I accidentally liked your comment, so pretend that says '2')

Which makes no sense if he is alive. It's just a minor problem, but one that I don't think they would have made if they had a "group meeting" at the end.
I preordered from one place and one or two days before release I canceled it because it was estimating I wasn't going to get it until a week after release. Then I preordered the downloadable version so I could play it on release night. After that I saw they sent me my first order anyway and I returned it but kept the extra dlc code.
Go to redeem codes in Playstation store at the bottom of the menu; code is case sensitive. Enter it to unlock the dlc then manually download it as I don't think it will do it automatically. Tell me if you need any other help.

She expresses regret about Matt if he tries to help her, and is very concerned for him. If he leaves her to die..well obviously she doesn't care so much.
She feels very remorseful about Matt in the house if he tried to save her life, and she expresses regret about Hannah to Matt.
I should dislike her for being insecure? I feel sorry for her, and want to help her. It's not as simple in someone's mind as 'I'm insecure therefore I'm gonna be mean'. Insecurity is a lot more subtle than that, mental health issues are all more subtle than that, and you know that really.
Also, her acting mean is why she's 5th on my list. I dislike others more than her, is that really so bad? I don't think she's jesus, I just think there are worse people on that mountain than someone whose insecurity and fear manifests itself as moodiness.
Also, Emily is the reason the group were rescued at dawn (going to the radio tower was her idea), so yeah.
Emily seems like a classic bitch type though, "I'm so insecure about myself I'll treat others like shit". She pretty much never showed remor… morese when I watched, she was always complaining, being rude, etc. In fact, if at the end she didn't try and rat Mike and Matt out for doing normal survivalist things during stressful situations then I would've liked her more but nope, she complained.
Dude, I do feel sorry for him that he lost his sisters, and I understand why he did what he did, but he still put everyone at serious risk. That's not okay.
I understand why that psycho who shot women for not going out with him a year back did so, but I still hate him.

Not a direct sequel but a game with the same mechanics, new characters, setting etc. Hopefully the success around this will let them take more risks and allow them to go even bigger next time! No need to be stuck with the lore of the existing game which I think works perfectly as a stand alone. Plus the suspense was the unknown!
Actually, unless you have a great relationship with her, she could couldn't care less if you tried to help her. Flog, you do realize I'm only asking for your opinion on a character, right? Not attacking you because of it.

...You completely lost me there. Are we talking about Josh here, or a completely different person?
So who was faking the Ouja board
Probably Josh.
who set up the bear trap thing in the Sanitarium?
That was one of the old guy's Wendigo traps. In his book he talks about them. They're made from people who donated their bodies.
i've played this game and finished it it's such an amazing game and every single choice you make truly affects your game and your characters traits and how they feel about each other and no this game isn't just about cheap Jumpscares there is acually a story behind it that you can uncover and not to mention the great graphics that it offers and how much the makers of this game try to make this game as enjoyable as possible by asking you questions the make your gameplay richer and more centred around the player
Oh yeh I don't believe in any of that kind of stuff personally, but for the purpose of this game with wendigo squishing peoples heads in a creepy mountain I can believe that the conversation with Beth was real!
Wait, hold on, I've just thought of proof that it was Josh. The ouija board directs Chris and Ashley to the library for evidence about the death - why would Beth have done that?
Also the evidence we find there was planted by Josh, and thats where he kidnaps ashley

You really don't see how diversity in fiction is a massive issue in modern society?
Well, there are other 'relationship' effects. Some people will or won't kiss you. One specifically won't be there to save you when you're running away in a critical moment, if you didn't treat her well.
I liked the game but it can't compete with Outlast.

Not really, if the story is good, who cares what race, gender or orientation a character is, unless it's being portrayed as offensive?
She guesses or just assumed it. I know this mostly because she says it even if hes dead
Wait, so she kills Chris even if he shoots her after she asks him to? That's a bit screwy
Simply that more diverse personalities means more interesting clashes, conversations and relationships.
Not everything has to be about gender, race and sexuality, you know.

Hannah recognized Josh, so it didn't hurt him.
Can I have it please?
What's in the preorder dlc anyway?
More convos with Emily and Matt

Sent you the code Flog as you were the first to ask for it. Let me know if I need to resend it.
I've got it, thanks! How did you end up with two? Also how do I activate the dlc?

SPOILER! And yes she dosen't....it's weird
Points taken
I am i the only one who thinks they should make a sequel?
No, I do, though I'd like an entirely new place.
And an actual psycho this time, no supernatural BS.
She expresses regret about Matt if he tries to help her, and is very concerned for him. If he leaves her to die..well obviously she doesn't care so much.

Ah...but that sounds like bullshit.

Taking a shot in the dark here, but I think he's talking about Elliot Rodger
So who was faking the Ouja board, and who set up the bear trap thing in the Sanitarium?
Probably Josh.

I thought it was probably Josh, but his reaction seemed so genuine.
And cool, thanks! Guess that explains why it moves.
I think it was real but unexplained. Hannah was still "alive", and Josh was to messed up to fake that.

totally! but with a new theme and new characters and a new story but the same engines and graphics i think it would be cool!
I supposed if magical cannibal souls can exist then a ouja board might not be faked, but in real life they've been shown to be fake
Oh yeh I don't believe in any of that kind of stuff personally, but for the purpose of this game with wendigo squishing peoples heads in a creepy mountain I can believe that the conversation with Beth was real!
Sorry for asking so many questions, I'm just really curious! What effects do the squirrel choice and the baseball bat choice have?

Dude's loco. He even made his reaction at the saw scene be so genuine, he's a great actor.
