Let's not forget Warlords of Draenor. Everyone was hyped about that expansion cause they thought it would be Burning Crusade 2.0 or something like that, but it turned out to be the second worst expansion of WoW. Hell, even Mists of Pandaria was better than WoD and Cata.
WoW isn't really over rated. If you get to play it for a while you'll actually find out it's really cool and there's a ton of stuff to do. O… moref course , they fucked up a lot of expansions in the past , like Cataclysm or Mists of Pandaria , but Wrath of the Lich King was amazing , and the next expansions seems to be really good too. I'm not saying it's a 10/10 masterpiece game , but it's really fun once you actually get to the cool stuff.
Yeah, the voice acting is not actually great and the first two episodes were horrible but in episode 3 and after, it actually became better but it doesn't a deserve to be voted as GOTY.
Life is Strange, I think most of you know why I'm not particularly fond of this game so I'm not going to bore you, I just think it's overrated and doesn't deserve a lot of the praise it gets.
For Final Fantasy, it's most likely due to the gameplay that people enjoy, characters people find memorable, the fun and yet very difficult mini-games and also the amount of character development and the plot itself make FF a masterpiece to allot of people. The franchise has create it's own huge fan base and lore, it was a different game to many people when it first released and as more iterations were released, people loved it even more, people liked the changes and people found controversy on which games were the best. Along with people who loved it, came with people who hated it, through their hate the franchise only kept growing. And lots of people like it mostly due to the series being mainstream on consoles. It also lead to other games like Kingdom Hearts, which created fan bases and lore of it's own.
-Minecraft: It's fun and all, but I don't really understand the fanatic praise the it tends to receive.
-Resident Evil (especially 4): Wh… morey is this series so popular? The controls are awful and the story is definitely nothing to write home about, in my opinion.
-Forza Motorsport series: A beautiful, complex driving sim that's also boring enough to put someone into a coma.
-Final Fantasy series: I don't get it, somebody please explain why this series is the masterpiece people claim it is. I just don't get it. Tactics was pretty good though.
COD of course. Out of all the mediocre FPS games in the market, I don't understand why this one sells a zillion copies every year. They all seem the same to me.
Kingdom Hearts a crossover between Final Fantasy and Disney
It's for me the best game series I ever played... Everybody thinks it's stupi… mored if I tell them about it... First play it then you say what you think about it!

EDIT 2016: Wait why was this posted here? 0___0
I think they took out the Coliseum levelling trick from KH2 to make it more challenging to level up, plus there were more worlds which you had to visit multiple times, the stories were longer and more enemies appeared since the areas were larger, so it's kind of reasonable why they made it like that. As for the saving at the end, I don't really see the use in that since there was no more gameplay after that.
Yeah I like it too very fun gameplay, great story. Only thing I hate is that they took away how you could level up in the coliseum KH 1 leve… moreling up was easy just go to the coliseum but in KH 2 you have to go it the lion king area to level up. Also how you can't save after the game is finished which was in both KH games.
I will say this, while I agree for the most part that the voice acting isn't that great, Ashley Burch has done a fantastic job as Chloe. The scene where they find out about Rachel was so well done, I have to give her props.
Yeah, the voice acting is not actually great and the first two episodes were horrible but in episode 3 and after, it actually became better but it doesn't a deserve to be voted as GOTY.

MGS 5. i havent played it, but i say it is because everyone its just like "OMG THIS IS SO GREAT, EVERYTHING IT HAS ITS PERFECT IS EVERYTHING… more YOU COULD WANT OHHHHH! (cums their pants". and ive played the older games, i really dont remember like almost anything about them i was young and i played them with my cousin and i didnt know much english then, but i havent played this one, or really any of the most recent one, so i watched so streams to check it out. the story looked on point but everything else about it just seems repetitive. and everything looks the same. sneak, shoot enemies with tranq guns, kill the rest, gather some shit, parachute some fuckers, and maybe rescue someone. it was ehhh. didnt find anything so epic. the only thing that surprised me was there one part that it had like zombies, i was lie wtf zombies lol. but other than that all those side missiond loo repetitive as hell and all those maps look the same. same desert part … [view original content]
Metal Gear series: I just can't get into it for some reason, and the story is pretty confusing, i don't even know how many snakes there are.
All Call of Duty games after Modern Warfare 2: Pretty obvious.
Final Fantasy series: I just can't stand the hair, i actually tried playing that MMO, but it didn't work out.
Star Wars The Old Republic (SWTOR): Don't get me wrong i love Bioware, but after playing around 300 hours of Swtor, most of it being the Roleplay within the guilds, i can confirm that most of the stories get boring and repetetive after a while.
Borderlands games and Bioshock games: I just can't get into the story of these games, i don't like the gameplay and stuff, but thats just my opinion.
i know i should have been more careful with it, but i seen some streams in twitch. the story is looked cool, weird confusing cool but cool either way.
im just saying that i havent seen much and i seen some hours and it was all the same. i stayed away from the main story though so there is another hole in my argument.
(I like a few of these games even though they are overrated)
* Call of Duty
* Minecraft
* Final Fantasy
* League of Legends
* Garry… more's Mod
* Pokémon
* The Legend of Zelda
* Mario Games
* Destiny
* Battlefield
* Fallout
* Persona
* Five Nights at Freddy's
* Happy Wheels
i know i should have been more careful with it, but i seen some streams in twitch. the story is looked cool, weird confusing cool but cool e… moreither way.

If there has to be one, then it is Metal Gear Solid 5. I am sorry, but after Act 1, I simply can't finish the game. When the mission gets repetitive and the location gets recycled, the game becomes boring. The gameplay is good, but when it gets repeated, it gets boring. I have played Dragon Age 2 that has recycled locations, but at least in that game, there was a strong narrative, good story and characters that keeps me interested. Metal Gear Solid 5 has a hard time fusing the gameplay with the story. The lack of focus on the narrative really bugs the game down for me. Building the Mother Base is cool at first, but when the base feels empty, there really doesn't seem like there is a point to it, beside getting better weapons and gears.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has been a huge huge huge disappointment for me. It's a good game, but it just doesn't feel like a Metal Gear game. It got repetitive pretty fast, the story isn't that engaging, and the open world doesn't feel as big as it should.
GTA San Andreas. Very overrated. All gangsta rap nigga shit, I don't feel it, I don't like it. After leaving Los Santos it became booring. Missions were unintersting, some tasks impossible to finish. I loved beating challenges in previous games but driving schools and marathons - fu** it! Shooting down jets during first flight (sure), secret jetpack, jumping from one plane to another - it wasn't game about James Bond! So dumb. Lack of ideas, pointless cameos of characters from VC or GTA III. Then those constant warnings - enemy is attacking your territory, go defend it or phonecalls from girlfriends - ah, leave me alone! Lost my will to finish main story missions.
And F.E.A.R. Not scary at all, cliche ghost, boring gameplay (shooting - haunting - shooting - haunting - yawn). Boring story, plot holes.

They're not the same... they have slightly different graphics and more paid content
This game series is more underrated imo.

The Sims 3, The Last of Us and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, I still love each of them though.
Telltales Game of Thrones.
Yes
The Last Of Us; Guys, it's not THAT good.
I will say this, while I agree for the most part that the voice acting isn't that great, Ashley Burch has done a fantastic job as Chloe. The scene where they find out about Rachel was so well done, I have to give her props.
Well, I have to agree that Chloe's VA is doing an amazing job.
Yeah, Ashley's voice acting in that scene was emotional for me. I almost cried at that scene.
There are some greats moments and some bad moments with the voice acting. But still, there is a certain charm about it. At least for me.
I haven't played it either but you can't judge it. You have yet to play it.
I like your profile pic.
Going to get a lot of hate for this but, eh.

^ I couldn't agree more.
Never played an MGS game and I probably will never. I don't hate them but I just really don't want to fill up my head with MGS story.
fnaf, cod, battlefield, destiny, bioshock, smite, lol, dota1/dota2, every single nintendo game (mario, zelda, etc.)
I fuckin love bioshock
Five nights at freddys, ugh.
I have to say, I probably prefer Uncharted 2 over The Last of Us
Finally some gets it lol. Love Bobby D btw
How dare you say one of my favorite games is overrated. Skyrim is awesome! Everyone loves skyrim!!!
So do i.
I love your username
Hell yea.
I love skyrim except when things like this happened believe me ive had funnier glitches than this
overrated game? mass effect 3 mass effect 2 was so much better
Crap! I forgot about that shitty game!
I can't believe my friends made me try that game! -.-
Yeah, I hate it, too, mostly cause of its community. It's so toxic and most of the people that play LoL are acting like assholes -.-

Life is Strange. I dont understand the praise at all i swear its the most overrated game of all time
Minecraft is totally overrated. I find it veeery boring. I just don't get the phenomen of this game.
