I quite liked the present day section, with Bigby's monologue about how he hated the dog jokes (though if I remember correctly, I think Snow also makes a joke after they get married and cubs are present.....Though I think she was saying it lovingly, so I guess it's different, haha).
I liked that Bigby killed off Jersey. Since he didn't kill Tweedle Dum while Snow was present, I expected him to let loose sooner or later.
I also wonder what is the contract betweem Crooked Man and Mary? I hope that gets explained soon.
Since the scene jumped straight from Crooked Man's hideout to Puddin' N Pie, I guess with the current pace, Bigby's Big Bad Wolf form vs Bloody Mary will be coming a lot sooner (can't wait to see that showdown in comic form!).
Regarding flashbacks, few panels of explanation, though no action or drama whatsoever, I guess we'll have to see next issue if any exciting things occur.
Who else finished off Fables?
I finished up the comic today, and I could tell it was a bit rushed. I won't spoil it. Some plots never even got finished. It's basically 'All the fables are happy, we're done!' I'm not going to lie, but I was disappointed. I think Bill just wanted it out of the way, can't blame the guy, he's been doing Fables for 13 years.

Yes, I do admit it was cliche, but I still kinda liked that bit. Though now that I think about it, I do wish it was Snow rather than Connor who snapped Bigby back to his senses.
Though I did really scoff at Connor when he said he could take on Bigby and swallow (or destroy, don't exactly remember what he said, been a little while since I read the last volume) the world.
I doubt he would have been able to at that time. Maybe it would have been possible if Connor was an adult, but I doubt it as a child.
Only cub who would have been able to physically suppress Bigby would have been Winter, and that's only because she inherited North Wind's powers (which as you know already is pretty much god-level).
Yeah, thanks for reminding me.

I love Aunty Greenleaf. She is such a witch with a b, lol.
I guess they didnt break the glass baby after all, but I dont understand too m… moreuch about all this black magic. I did wonder why Crooky wasnt there.
Vivian broke my heart even more this time.
Since they decided to change things with Jersey maybe they will change Georgies fate too. Maybe he survives, he doesnt look deadly injured like in the game. But that would probably be a problem with the Crooked Man finale. Otherwise I think Bigby will let him suffer, so far I have the feeling that Bigby dont wants to kill villains if he doenst have to, I think he doesnt want to anger Snow.
About the glass baby: I think it will give the Crooked Man the power to create the magic door to his place since its still a mystery how they managed to leave the Silvering. Or it could give Bloody Mary the power to travel between the mirrors.
And have you thought about this shard the Crooked Man gave Mary? I think this will confirm what I speculated for a long time: Mary wont really die in that fight against Bigby and will probably put herself back together later.
I liked how they handled Greenleaf in this issue too. I'm still mad that Bigby burned the tree in the comic.
I'm also interested to se… moree what ends up happening with the baby. I too think Bigby will finish Georgie, but we'll see.
Overall, this was a good issue. Bigby's inner monologue is still great.
I don't know. I still think Bigby will finish Georgie, possibly more mercifully than he did in the game.
Those are some great ideas about the mirror baby. I bet one or both are right.
Didn't the Crooked Man say that the shard bound Mary to him, or something like that? I wonder if the Crooked Man will survive somehow, even if Bigby throws him down the well alive.... Perhaps he could somehow use the shard as a last ditch way to teleport to wherever Mary is and get away. I like the idea of the Crooked Man having a final escape plan. He's supposed to be smart and manipulative, so it would be cool if he tricked Fabletown into thinking that he died in the Witching Well when he really got away.

Thank you, but your theory is very interesting as well. I like the idea of the Crooked Man saving himself if things escalate. But (at least in the game) the Crooked Man is determinant and wont play a big role in the possible next season. Bigby "can" kill him right after he killed Mary and I dont think he survived that. But I have to admit after reading this scene in the comic again (where he gave Mary the shard) it felt like he prepares for the worst (to save himself somehow). After thinking a while about it... maybe you are right. I had the idea that its a real present that will put Mary back together since she was loyal and helped him all the time even though she was stronger and could have killed him since the beginning. The word "unbreakable" was written bold and after Bigby killed her her head wasnt destroyed. But now I think your idea is better^^

Nothing really new here in terms of overall plot, but small changes here and there (such as Bigby's monologue when looking at Georgie, the way Bigby finished him, and how Mary jumps out of the large mirror).
Can't wait to see Bigby transform into the Big Bad Wolf form (wonder who will do the art for that issue?).
I'm interested in the way that the flashbacks are going. Perhaps now they're exploring how The Crooked Man amassed his fortune?
That's true that the Crooked Man can be killed pretty definitively in the game.
I just like to think that the he might have some sort of last ditch, Hail Mary, emergency escape plan. It would make him an even more cunning and dangerous villain.

I'm very interested in the flashbacks and how they are rounding back to Faith's family. Will the comic give us a clearer answer regarding Faith's fate?

Thanks I almost got my ass in trouble. I'll probably just limit to one picture if I want to discuss the comics.

Lmao, the number of times Mary appears naked in this comic, i hope the fans are happy.
I have yet to read the newer issues
Happy indeed :^)

Ok ,honestly, calling bets since now. What do you think bigby will do to the crooked man?
Throw him down the Witching Well alive.
I swear one of the panels Vivian became Bloody Mary. I think it was the panel right before the backstory.
Even though the flashback didn't have any action, I'm glad they explained "the Silvering" a bit more. I wasn't really sure what to make of it.
Agreed. I think that's what's going to happen.
What if ttg is just waiting for the comic to write a season 2 and base it on it.

I agree with you completely. The finale was rushed as fuck! >:'(
so no jersey backstory and he's dead?
He was the 13th son of a Witch who cursed him.
I know that i wanted to see it
I hate how Bigby transformed back into himself after the cliche power of love from his son.
What? Where is that explained in the comic?
That's the official story of the jersey devil
You could view it as love or fear or even respect...
Yeah, what zeke10 said.
In terms of present day, nothing really new here, though it was a change to see Vivian curse/swear in here.
I wonder whether Bigby will mercifully finish Georgie or let him suffer? I'm kinda leaning towards Bigby finishing him.
With the flashbacks, it was good to see Aunty Greenleaf.
I wonder what reviving Mary's baby will lead to?
It felt rushed and anticlimactic (and the volume itself looks a bit thin compared to some of previous Fables volumes as well).

He said he had the potential to grow into a monster big enough that could devour an entire world. And such power scared him...
Yeah, thanks for reminding me.

Yeah but Bigby is a God himself, and he can only die when his children do...
Sucks to be that Father

I would not be opposed to that idea, especially if it means more comics.

Maybe Mark Buckingham will do the art for the issue with his Wolf form?
That would be awesome!
I love Mark's art of Bigby's Big Bad Wolf form (Love it in the main series, and still love it in the Fables/Unwritten crossover volume).

I almost don't like how the comic is giving us more than the game did....
I also hope that if TWAU Season 2 happens, it won't follow the plot of the comic. That would be bad.
