No it's not. They made it seem like it was going to be their biggest month yet (they've released two episodes in a two week span before so it's not a big deal for me)
"Tales comes out not long after Minecraft" Came out a week later...
"GoT comes out not long after Tales" Comes out a month later....
They also rereleased Back to the Future, but even ignoring that, two episodes back to back isn't really that minor.
Still, though, I agree the news is a bit of a bummer since the episode is kinda far off.
I think we should blame ourselves for wanting to much, and which kinda forced their hand on the social media side. If we were less of dicks, maybe they wouldn't have said that the episode was coming soon, and that the megamonth was focused on the other games.
but it ain't MEGA They've done the two episodes back to back a few times now. I mean this better be a good finale. :P
As for Back to the Future....who honestly cared about that? :P

I know telltale has already released two episodes back to back before, but this month the two episodes were a series premiere and a season finale - two very major installments. Add that with Back to the Future and whatever information they release about Game of Thrones and Michonne, that IS a mega month.
Yeah, I'm satisfied with Tales.
Minecraft and whatever else is icing on the cake. Though I don't care about TTG's Back to the Future. I've never had fun with their older games.

Looks like the mega month is a bit more mega than we thought, as Minecraft: Story Mode episode 2 will be releasing this week, plus the Minecraft: Story Mode season pass disc is in stores today.
They've released Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 1 (plus the season pass disc), Tales from the Borderlands: Episode 5, Back to the Future: The Game - 30th Anniversary Edition, and they're going to be releasing Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 2 later today. That's definitely their biggest month of releases ever. Four releases in one month is definitely a mega month.

I don't think that that's the games fault. Besides, point and click games need to have some challenge to extend the play time. The harder it is, the bigger the satisfaction of solving it. That's why I loved their older games.

I don't think that it's that the games are ready to go more than Telltale's other games, as it still seems they've been working on it up until it was announced. It's more likely that it's just because the art style of these games makes the games easier to release on a quick schedule than any of their other games,
Well yeah, the game looks a bit easier to make than the other ones due to its art style. It's a hell of a lot easier to run as well, even on a potato PC like mine.
The episodes of Law & Order Legacies were released about two weeks apart too.

Whatever. Either way, huge slap in the face to the thrones fans. Releasing two episodes of Minecraft before the finale. It shouldn't have started until after Thrones.
Youre right though, suddenly it's a mega month. Not the one anybody on this side of the forum wanted though.

Now that the Mega Month is over, I thought I'd reflect on it with my thoughts on each game, as I played them all in October. I'll rank them in order of how much I enjoyed them:
Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 1: I'm super surprised about this one. I love it for all of the new stuff it's trying. The direct controlled combat with a hit counter is awesome, and so much better than quick time events. I really like the ability to choose different objects to solve problems. And the switch puzzle was awesome. I hope Telltale keeps puzzles like these going forward, as it fits in the world well, and really helps break up the monotony of quick time event after quick time event. I really missed things like the excellent car battery puzzle in The Walking Dead in The Walking Dead: Season Two (as well as the direct action shooting). The game play really seemed shallow without things like that. I'm glad Telltale seems to be headed back in that direction.
Tales from the Borderlands: Episode 5: I love this season. It's now my second favorite Telltale season of all time, after Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures. This episode wrapped things up great. The identity of the stranger was a huge surprise, but it made complete sense. I loved the fact that you could choose who was in your party in the final battle, and the identity of the mystery character was awesome. Even only knowing him from Telltale's games, I still laughed like crazy at his scenes. I really hope we get a season two.
Back to the Future: 30th Anniversary Edition: The game play is exactly the same, so it's still in obvious transition between Telltale's puzzle games and their new cinematic story games. But, the addition of Tom Wilson as Biff Tannen made a huge difference more than I thought it would. He delivers his lines with so much more variety than Andrew Chaikin did in the role, and his tough Biff delivery was sorely missed in the original release (which was the number one complaint I had with the original, as Andrew Chaikin was a great wimpy Biff but his tough Biff wasn't so great). I also love the fact that Kid Tannen wasn't replaced, as his lines were delivered so well, there's no way Tom Wilson could have improved upon it. Plus, the fact that Riff and Cliff are still voiced by Andrew Chaikin works much better, since all three brothers are no longer voiced nearly identically.
Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 2: It's shortness made it not as enjoyable as the first episode, as did the fact that it seemed like it was just a set up for the episodes yet to come. It did have it's good qualities though. I love the fact that they're using the choice system from The Wolf Among Us where you choose between two locations and the scene plays out regardless of where you went, but now that choice takes place in separate episodes. It makes your choice feel like it has more impact. I also really love that they have multiple ways to solve a problem, and have optional puzzles to do it. I appreciated the optional puzzles in The Walking Dead, such as repairing the swing. However, since they didn't have any impact on the story, they felt like they were time wasters more than anything. Now that the optional puzzles actually effect the story, they're a lot more satisfying.
So, now we're in November, and the Mega Month is over. I wonder if Telltale is looking at a similarly packed release schedule. They already have Game of Thrones: Episode 6 confirmed for release on November 17th and Jackbox Party Pack confirmed for release on November 3rd. I wonder if they'll squeeze out anymore games this month.
Comments
No. Because they released 2 Episodes and a Big live lets Play. It's Kinda a Mega month.

Fans of Telltales older games. Who, if you didn't know, still exist.
I was kidding. You shouldn't take it so personally lol
I know even his/her profile picture looks pissed.
I like that theory.

Mind the caps.
I didn't take it personally though.
God their are other months just like this.
May 2014
July 2014
March 2015
The best mega month ever after all TTG finished their Magnum Opus
I'm happy with what we got out of it. GOTY
Yeah, I'm satisfied with Tales.
Minecraft and whatever else is icing on the cake. Though I don't care about TTG's Back to the Future. I've never had fun with their older games.
What 2 episodes ?
Uhm...Minecraft Story Mode & Tales from the Borderlands Finale.
No offence. But you seem pissed in every single one of your post.
Same here. Their older games just piss me off as I spend hours on 1 or 2 puzzles
Do you only ever see me in the GoT section? Because that would kind of make sense, given the general feel of this section :P
This section brings that out in a lot of us, it's a pretty bad section to be honest. Green is usually pretty chill.
I cared...
Yes
Basically the entire forum these days:
THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!!!!1!!1!

My brain is still processing that MC:SM ep 2 released that fast. I wonder if telltale has a head start on all of the episodes?
The episodes of Law & Order Legacies were released about two weeks apart too.

The second episode of Minecraft: Story Mode will actually be available later today! That's a really quick turnaround from announcement to release! O_O
