The, somewhat, comfortable silence has been occurring for what feels like for hours.
Until Fiona decides to break it.
“How long will you be gone for?” Her voice is low but still clear.
Rhys can’t help but gulp, taking a light breath before announcing
“About a… About a month.”
“‘A month’?” He can tell the news hit her compact by the sudden crack in her voice, something which he rarely -- not even rarely, never heard.
Rhys immediately decides to take action by gently turning her around and assuring her with the following
“I promise, the moment I can, I will call you,” he places both hands on her shoulders. “Everyday.”
He doesn’t know if he’d be available to call her everyday, but still something he’s willin… [view original content]

You definitely shouldn't stop writing, because you're really, really good at this. You can really get into characters so when I'm reading your fanfic I can actually imagine Rhys or Fiona in these situation, with this kind of dialogues.
