Well, they probably ressurected this thread because maybe they didn't want to see such a great thread by gone for good and I can't really blame them c:
Many people seem to be from Rhysha/Rhyiona threads, and they don't seem to frequent any other part of the forum other than TFTBL subforum. That's probably why.
Actually, I think people are against resurrecting threads when they're no longer relevant. For example, a ''do you think Lee will die?'' thread shouldn't be resurrected. That's not the case, of course, and it's better than creating a new one I guess.

Threads resurrecting isn't as black and white as it seems. In a thread like this, it is almost always relevant, and therefore bumping it (as long as it hadn't been commented on it like, a year?) would be okay. Bumping a thread about theories for Episode 3 of Season 1 of the Walking Dead is something we frown upon. Other topics, as long as the bumping post brings new information to the table and doesn't rehash what has already been said, then usually it's all cool.
