I would say eveything John WIlliams has done, but I'll go with songs with actual lyrics and whatnot. And there is only one reigning king to me:

But the James Bond series has a lot of great songs that have come out of it!
A classic, memorable tune for sure.

+1
The one, the only Morricone!
The Ecstasy of Gold (The Good the Bad and the Ugly) - Another piece of Morricone's work.

Whiplash (Whiplash)
enter link description here
L'Ultima Diligenza di Red Rock (The Hateful Eight) - Morricone at it again!!!
enter link description here
I Will Survive (The Martian)
enter link description here
You Know My Name (Casino Royale)
enter link description here
Django Theme (Django Unchained)
enter link description here
I will always have a soft spot for Gladiator's theme.
enter link description here
One of my favorite instrumental pieces ever.

I'm guessing these are licensed songs and not soundtrack? Hmm...i'll get back in a bit.
EDIT:
I'd probably say this, even though it came off an album first it was almost synonymous with the Bourne Franchise, to the point it was used as the ending credits theme in all 4 movies...such a sick song too.
Moby - Extreme Ways
Great song and great movie!
I wouldn't say it's the "coolest" song, but definitely a really good one.
It's Sam Smith's song "Writing On The Wall" that came out of the movie Spectre.
Movie was awful, the song and intro was the only thing I liked.

Damn, you beat me to the punch with The Ecstasy of Gold. Fun fact, that song has been used by Metallica as their intro song for every one of their concerts since 1983, as James Hetfield is a huge fan of westerns and says that The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is his favorite movie. Metallica actually covered the song in 2006 for an Ennio Morricone tribute album.

A little biased here, but this is a great song from Mission Impossible 2.
enter link description here
best. movie intro. ever.
enter link description here
Oh man. I'm sorry Infinite, but I disagree with you there. I thought it was awful because it didn't fit the tone of the film at all. It sounded like a sappy love song.
Ecstasy of Gold is the best score I've ever heard in a film. It can make any normal action you do in your time feel epic.

This lovely tune right here.
enter link description here
EDIT: Unless it isn't from a movie, then excuse me for being stupid.
Kinda cheesy in my opinion. Sorry.
Hell yea.
The 2 recent James Bond themes are good
I am indeed hurt.
But that is your opinion, and I can respect that.
Glad it didn't cause any argument. Although I dislike the song, I can respect that you like it.
You're a cool lizard.
are you apart of the reptilian brotherhood? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

From The Breakfast Club
enter link description here
From the Grease intro
enter link description here
And this classic from Ray Parker Jr., of course!
enter link description here
This ending theme from Gravity, one of the best films I've ever watched.
enter link description here
It truly highlights the protagonist's epic victory in the end, having returned to Earth, but the sorrow she experienced while trapped in space will haunt her forever, having lost her crew to a empty field of nothing forever.

enter link description here
I love The Breakfast Club's theme music. Can't believe I forgot about it.

That scene was BADASS and horrific but a fun scene as well.
enter link description here
OK this song REQUIEM FOR A DREAM already exist by the time it was recorded for the soundtrack for the two towers but that triligity make that tune most famous trailer music of all time.

enter link description here
these bring back memories.
Badass all the way. This song makes me want to go out and kick someone's ass
