The best Stephen King movie

For me it has always been The Shining (the one by Kubrick of course, never seen the mini series) together with Misery. Which one/ones do you prefer the most?

  • I've enjoyed watching Misery, The Mist (though I feel the ending was too grim-dark for my taste), and Dolores Claiborne.

  • Secret Window.

  • Out of all the ones I've seen, my favorites are The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, The Shining, Carrie, and Stand by Me.

  • The Shining and The Mist.

The Shining is a great movie, but not the best King adaptation.

Another I like is The Green Mile

  • The Simpsons Movie.

  • Definitely not Kubrick's shitting. I liked "It" when I was younger. "Storm of the Century" is very interesting and "The Dead Zone" because of Walken. "Stand By Me", very nostalgic". "Shawshank.." is fine but I've seen it too many times. "The Mist" would be perfect without it's leading actor and his whining in the end.

  • The Shining, The Mist, Storm of the Century, and The Green Mile.

  • You cant watch Shawshank too many times. Get busy living man lol

  • .....? I feel like I'm missing something here. But yeah I'm cautiously excited for the remake. Kind of nervous since they changed directors

  • The director left because the studio wanted a generic monster movie with jumpscares :p

No its a movie. it came out in 2004, it stars Johnny Depp.

the movie itself is based on a short story called "Secret Window, Secret Garden". This short story can be find in "Four past Midnight" novel along with other short stories. Stephen King is famous for his supernatural horrors for sure but he also did short stories as well. if you still don't believe me then here is the wiki page for the movie. Enjoy

    Secret Window
