RIP Alan Rickman (1946-2016) [Died at 69]

Comments

  • I keep repeating "No...No..." as I saw the news. I was in disbelief. I thought it was a joke or a hoax or something. I could not believe he is dead. :(

  • NOOO. Oh man, my sister is gonna be crushed. Alan Rickman was one of her favorites and just a great actor overall. Rest in peace, man. Rest in peace.

  • And the weirdest thing about this is that he died at 69,just like Bowie but 2 days later.

I'd cry from happiness if he died too.

  • But so far we've only lost great people. Trump doesn't follow that trend. Although, if were are so arrogant to wish. .

  • Now this is surprising. It always hurts me to see these great actors bite the dust. I've only known him in 2 movies: Die Hard and Harry Potter, but he was smashing in both.

The deaths of actors like Phillip Seymour Hoffman and James Gandolfini have deeply saddened me. Now we've lost another one to the sunofabitch known as cancer.

David Bowie, Died of Cancer age 69, 10 of Jan

Alan Rickman, Died of Cancer age 69, 14 of Jan WTF it happen again 4 days latter

Please let there not be a third person. Ok that's crazy. One thing for sure we need to find a cure for cancer. But in all seriously this guy was amazing. I love this work. I love his harry potter work and his robin hood movie. RIP Alan you were amazing actor

  • 2016 fucking sucks.

  • I highly recommend this film: Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves - its one of Alan Rickman's best films.

Now this is surprising. It always hurts me to see these great actors bite the dust. I've only known him in 2 movies: Die Hard and Harry Pott

  • bad start but we have tell tale games to look forward to

  • This was totally unexpected news to hear today. I liked Alan Rickman and grew up watching his movies. His roles in Die Hard, Quigley Down Under, and Galaxy Quest were great.

  • Both died of cancer, were age 69, and died in the same month. Coincidence much?

  • What about Galaxy Quest. He was amazing in that, so hilarious.

  • I actually never saw it. My friend just told me about it after he told me the news.

  • its just bad timing, its just wired that Alan die 4 days latter. that's all

  • You must, its pretty great.

I actually never saw it. My friend just told me about it after he told me the news.

  • R.I.P Alan Rickman, my favorite actor who also played my favorite Harry Potter character. </3 Still can't believe he's gone.... I was actually more upset at Snape's death than I was at Lee's (which is saying a lot considering how much I bawled at Lee's death and how awful I felt afterwards). ;_;

  • Man, he was so good in Die Hard, the Harry Potter films, the 2010 Alice in Wonderland, and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. So sad that another talented guy was lost to cancer at 69. R.I.P., Alan.

  • Why are people dying at 69?

  • RIP Alan. I remember the first time I saw him in a movie and I was stunned, simply. Don´t remember however if the first one featuring him I saw was either some of the Harry Potter films or maybe Die Hard. I can tell however that it was not Robin Hood - Prince of thieves since I have never seen that one, not interested.

  • Simply because most humans share the same opinion as me, our bodies are not created to become extremely old. I know that things like smoking, alcohol and drug use has their role in this for taking three examples but it´s also law of the nature, some dies younger and other dies as older.

Why are people dying at 69?

  • David Bowie, now Alan Rickman dying at 69. What the hell

  • Thats what I thought you meant. Gallows humor. Dark thoughts, my friend.

  • It's 2009 all over again, RIP Billy Mays, except it's not even been a month into 2016 yet.

I know it belongs in both the Alan Rickman and David Bowie sections, but here's a Simpsons video that inadvertently paid tribute to these guys:
