Anime suggestions?

Hello, so, does anyone know any good anime to watch? I've been lacking my fill of anime for a while and the only mainstream anime I've seen are Dragon Ball and Naruto, any suggestions? Thanks :3

What's it about? Like perhaps a short summary if you have the time or want to, I've heard of it but all I've seen is a character fighting a Titan. I'll add it to my list though :p

  • Oooh, I almost forgot about Cowboy Bebop, I'm interested in watching that, as well as Steins;Gate and The Devil Is A Part-Timer, a friend told me they were good, as for One Piece, I used to watch and love that anime, however, I'm not sure if I can catch up xD

Also, also Trigun and Black Lagoon about? That is if you have the time and want to tell. I haven't heard of them, although I think I've heard of Black Lagoon before.

  • Trigun is sort of like Cowboy Bebop in terms of setting but with more comedy attached to it, it's about Vash the Stampede, a wanted man with a 60 billion double dollar bounty on his head, people think he's dangerous but most of the time the damage he causes is by accident due to being pursued for his bounty, he's accompanied by two women from an insurance agency who are there to mostly try to make sure he doesn't destroy any towns.

Black Lagoon is a much darker show to the ones I listed. It's mostly about the Lagoon company, a group of mercenary pirates working around the seas of Southeast Asia, on various missions to try to make money, a Japanese business man joins them and tries to fit in with them, the show is also about the the fictional town of Roanapur, where the company is based, a lawless town full of criminals, even the nuns are smugglers.

as for One Piece, I used to watch and love that anime, however, I'm not sure if I can catch up xD

I only watched through all the episodes recently over the course of a month and a half... I had nothing else to do.

    I have two suggestions.

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. The story is good and the characters are memorable. There are a lot of humor. There are nightmarish stuff. There are a lot of awesome actions. And the drama is real. I may be overhyping it, but I thought the story ended in a satisfying way.

Cowboy Bebop. This anime is different and special. The setting is very charming and also feels like how our future will be once we achieve space travel and colonize planets. The characters are good and memorable. As for stories, besides some few plot lines, most of the episodes are self-contained story. And the action scene are amazing. Definitely worth checking out. And the music is GODLIKE!

Ooh, they both sound interesting and different from the anime I'm used to watching, I'll add them to my list, thanks for the explanations! :) Oh and the part about the Nuns being Smugglers - this makes me even more interested xD

How has nobody said "Ghost in the Shell" yet? (I'm also surprised nobody has said 'Cory in the House' yet, but that's a different story). I'd also add Psycho-pass to the list. They're both sci-fi police stories, but very different societies. I haven't finished it yet, but I'd also recommend "Serial Experiments Lain." That's more sci-fi horror though, and you'll need to wear a mind condom, because you will get mind fucked.

  • Thanks for the suggestions, I'll add them to my list, Cowboy Bebop is one I've actually been planning to watch and I think I used to watch a bit of Full Metal Alchemist(I don't think it was called Brotherhood though? When I was a kid), they both sound like good anime! :)

  • There are two versions of Full Metal Alchemist anime.

I guess the one you watched are the first version. Basically, it follows half of the plot in the manga before it overtook it and it became its own thing and did an original story.

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood follows the manga's story all the way through and in my opinion, is the better version, although I do like the first version too.

  • The only anime I've ever really been into is Naruto. I watched Sword Art Online for a while, it was really good at first but got a bit silly as the show continued.

Most people say it's not an anime but RWBY by Roosterteeth is perfection.

  • It's set in the world where people have to live inside cities surrounded by huge walls (Three walls, the outermost is Wall Maria, the middle wall is Wall Rose and the innermost is Wall Sheena) to protect themselves from titans, who seem to like eating humans for no reason. (seriously, they don't have to eat at all, they do it for fun... assholes) Story starts in city Shinganshina (a town at Wall Maria), where we meet our three protagonist Eren Yeager (main protagonist who has... very interesting powers, but I don't want to spoil anything), Mikasa Ackerman (Eren's foster sister) and Armin Arlert (their childhood friend, he is also the smartest one). After the wall that protected Shinganshina gets destroyed by Armored Titan, something horrible happens to Eren and he is vowing to kill all the Titans for that. Then he enlists in the military, along with Mikasa and Armin. I hope that's good enough to get you interested. :P

A lot of murdering and a fantasy game irl : Future Diary aka Mirai Nikki

A new anime with time travel : Erased (tbh forgot the original name in japanese or whatever)

A lot of wtf and disgusting creepy horror stuff with the MC naked half of the time : Elfen Lied

Free tears : Clannad : After Story

Time travel and good story : Steins;Gate

  • Makes no sense posting that on a gaming forum.

  • When They Cry? Is that an anime? I thought it was a VN? I was going to get it until I found out it was static. I know Steins;Gate is a VN, and then VN was actually bfore the anime.

And sorry, now offense, I knew Elfen Lied was going to come up but I didn't say it before - personally, I thought it was overrated. It was decent, and overall I enjoyed it,(notably the intro, even though for whatever reason imitating Klimt is suddenly the in thing, along with the flashback sequences), but it isn't the masterpiece people make it out to be (at least in my opinion).

  • Lol, too bad good ol' Popeye had warned you.

Anyway, aside from all the kinky sex, it centers around a small cryptocult of female students trying to enact a ritual which will supposedly give them some dark powers or something. They're doing pretty shifty stuff to reach their goals and are pretty reprehensible, when you think about it.

ah ok thanks. Sorry I don't know much about romance and comedy anime. however good written action anime sure no problem.

I will give you a summary and a really good website to watch. so enjoy.

    Durarara!!

    Summary:

In Tokyo's downtown district of Ikebukuro, amidst many strange rumors and warnings of anonymous gangs and dangerous occupants, one urban legend stands out above the rest – the existence of a headless “Black Rider” who is said to be seen driving a jet-black motorcycle through the city streets.

Ryuugamine Mikado has always longed for the excitement of the city life, and an invitation from a childhood friend convinces him to move to Tokyo. Witnessing the Black Rider on his first day in the city, his wishes already seem to have been granted. But as supernatural events begin to occur, ordinary citizens like himself, along with Ikebukuro's most colorful inhabitants, are mixed up in the commotion breaking out in their city.

this series has 2 series out both are dubbed and sub whatever you prefer - this series is really well written and dose a group cast amazingly through its hard to explain how. as soon u start to watch you will understand it dose the characters amazingly.

    the second is Monster:

    Summary:

Dr. Kenzo Tenma is a renowned young brain surgeon of Japanese descent working in Europe. Highly lauded by his peers as one of the great young minds that will revolutionize the field, he is blessed with a beautiful fiancé and is on the cusp of a high promotion in the hospital he works at. However, all of that is about to change with one critical decision that Dr. Tenma faces one night – whether to save the life of a young child or that of the town's mayor. Despite being pressured by his superiors to perform surgery on the mayor, his morals force him to perform the surgery on the young child, saving his life and forfeiting the mayor’s. All of a sudden, Dr. Tenma’s world is turned upside down by his decision leading to the loss of everything he previously had. A doctor is taught to believe that all life is equal; however, when a series of murders occur in the vicinity of Dr. Tenma, all of the evidence pointing to the young child who he saved, Tenma’s beliefs are shaken.

Naoki Urasawa’s Monster is a tale full of mystery, suspense and intrigue as Dr. Tenma journeys to find out the true identity of the young child. In turn, the fate of the world may depend on it

this series is more of horror/ thriller while you get to know the characters well enough and the story plot is really good this series will leave you with some unanswered questions. it dose leave on a cliffhanger the show was cancelled however its still good run time with 74 episodes. this series has one of the best story plot. I highly recommend this one.

as for the website KissAnime this is a really good website to watch good quality episodes and has a long list for dubbed and subbed.
