If you liked the mythological aspect of Inuyasha you will probably like Noragami: it's about a God of Misfortune who is trying to rebrand himself as a luck god by doing odd jobs for people and hoping they become his followers. He simultaneously looks up to and is jealous of the god Tenjin, because IRL that is more or less how worship of Tenjin changed over a couple of centuries.
I Never thought highly of anime until i watched Inuyasha.Honestly one my most favorite tv shows of all time.fantastic story, fantastic characters and great emotional and romantical balance and growth.
Millennium Actress is really gorgeous and primarily a story in unreliable flashbacks of an actress' first love and how it affected the rest of her life. The visual style as she is sifting through her memories at the request of an interviewer is really amazing:
Tokyo Godfathers is hard to describe but completely wonderful (and season appropriate). "Godfathers" in this case means surrogate family for an abandoned baby as they try to find her mother. Everyone has issues, everyone is lying, and everyone genuinely loves each other. Still visually stunning, but in this case the scenery is urban Tokyo at Christmastime.
He also did a televsion series called Paranoia Agent where a sort of evil spirit travels from host to host feeding off anxiety. It's a great series but will put your brain and heart through the wringer.
Wait, I'm alive!? Well trying to learn a lot just to enter on good university, so yeah my time lapse so fast. Anyway thank you that you remeber me, it's nice to know that some people out there may care about me, you care, don't you?
Omg, you're still alive? I haven't seen you in like, forever. Welcome back, it's nice to see you again.
On a side note, I too will vouch for Trigun and Cowboy Bebop, especially the latter.
ah ok thanks. Sorry I don't know much about romance and comedy anime. however good written action anime sure no problem.
I will give you … morea summary and a really good website to watch. so enjoy.
Durarara!!

Ryuugamine Mikado has always longed for the excitement of the city life, and an invitation from a childhood friend convinces him to move to Tokyo. Witnessing the Black Rider on his first day in the city, his wishes already seem to have been granted. Kill La Kill: The main character, Ryuko Matoi, goes on a quest of vengeance arriving to Hannouji Academy for answers and to avenge her father's death. The Academy runs on a fascist political run where the student council of the Academy has much control over the town surrounding the school. Special school uniforms allows the students to be granted abilities for combat. Ryuko faces the Academy head on. Gaining new friends such as a bizarre girl, Mako Mankanshoku and her family, several mysterious allies as well as becoming partners with a sailor uniform. (YES YOU HEARD ME RIGHT.) All the while facing my trials by the student council consisting the Elite Four and their leader, Satsuki Kiryuiin. It's over the top, action packed, strong story, amazing soundtrack and... ahem an ecchi. It's one of my favourite shows. The story, the characters, the action, the ost just gives me goosebumps from excitement!
24 episodes long + epilogue ova.
Another: Horror anime where students and teachers begin dying under mysterious circumstances due to an old tragedy from long ago. A transfer student recently returns to his home town in the first time in ages and meets gloomy and quite eye patched girl. Together they both seek to discover the cause of the continuous cycle of deaths. Horror, drama, very bloody, high school.
Sending PMs is rather easy. All you need to do is click someone's name and then down the left-hand side of the screen, look for private discussion. Click it and voila. I'm not sure, but I think any PMs show up under notifications as well.
As for anime, I can second the suggestion for Monster, though I've never actually completed it. Got around . . . 20 episodes in, but stopped watching it. Not sure why, as I was enjoying it. If there's a case for anime being for adults/art, that would be one of the ones. Someone else recommended Stein's;Gate as well, and I can definitely second it.
Edit: Oh, I forgot. Psycho Pass and Full Metal Alchemist are also good (Psycho Pass for being more thought provoking and examining society issues etc.). Not sure whether Full Metal Alchemist or Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is better though. I've only seen the 1st series, rather than Brotherhood which is a remake and more closely follows the manga instead of splitting off on its own path as the original did. From what I can make out, people seem to recommend Brotherhood.
Yeah, I'll add them to my watch list - it's growing fast xD I'm sure I can manage though!
Thanks for the invite, although I've been on these Forums for maybe 3 years now, I still don't know how to PM people xD

When They Cry? Is that an anime? I thought it was a VN? I was going to get it until I found out it was static. I know Steins;Gate is a VN, a… morend then VN was actually bfore the anime.
And sorry, now offense, I knew Elfen Lied was going to come up but I didn't say it before - personally, I thought it was overrated. It was decent, and overall I enjoyed it,(notably the intro, even though for whatever reason imitating Klimt is suddenly the in thing, along with the flashback sequences), but it isn't the masterpiece people make it out to be (at least in my opinion).
That's what I did ha! I made a MAL (MyAnimeList) account so it was easier to add it to "Plan-to-watch" list and I get more infro there. You're welcome!
you have to click on the username of the person. so if you click on my name then you are taken to my profile. on the life side of the profile page you get the user's icon, below that Joined infro, below that Last visit and Community Activity, below Community Activity info is a button that says "Private Discussion" that's the button you have to click. so once you get to the person's profile page its at the bottom on the left side.

Noragami Aragoto
One-Punch Man: My personal favourite comedy anime. It's about a superhero who has become so powerful that he can beat any opponent in one punch. While that sounds like an advantage, it has actually taken all the fun of combat out of his life and his victories now feel hollow to him. It's pretty great, has a nice blend of comedic styles, great action and there has yet to be a character I haven't liked.
Tiger and Bunny: Another superhero comedy. This one is about a pair of superheroes who live in a world where heroes are basically advertisements for businesses and compete against each other (while fighting crime) for the most points. It's pretty unique, and one of the superheroes is sponsored by Pepsi which is kinda fun.
Assassination Classroom: This one is about a group of middle-schoolers who have a year to kill their (terrifyingly powerful) alien teacher before he blows up the world. Sounds darker than it is. Kinda weird, but pretty funny.
Sayonara Zetsobou Sensei: This one IS fairly dark. It's about a teacher who is extremely depressed and his completely dysfunctional students.
Survival:
Attack On Titan: Set in apost-apocalyptic world, AOT is about humanity's bitter and desperate fight for survival against cannibalistic giants.
Btooom!: This one is about a group of 20-24(?) or so people who get kidnapped and placed on a death game where they need to use various types of explosives to get a certain amount of kills in order to win (this allows for multiple victors). Think Battle Royale or Hunger Games but with grenades instead of guns/bows.
Mirai Nikki (The Future Diary): A young boy is placed in a competition where every contestant gets the ability to see the future (through various devices) and the winner (the last man standing) gets granted the powers of a god.
Drama:
Death Note: A teenager with genius intellect get ahold of a book that allows him to take any life (so long as he knows the persons name) and chose how they die. He decides to use this "Death Note" to "cleanse" the world of evil.
Psycho-Pass: In a world where someones metal stability (or Psycho-Pass) can be detected by handheld technology, there are cops and "Enforcers" (people whose Psycho-Pass level would normally have them sent to prison) are responsible for tracking down and detaining and/or eliminating those who have been determined to have dangerously high readings.
Death Parade: This one is about a "bar" that people go to when they die. They play games at this bar, and based on their results and how they conduct themselves during the game, they go to either Heaven or Hell.
Erased: I'm only three episodes into this one (it's only just started) but it's really good so far. It's about a 29 year old man who, at various points in his life, has been forcefully sent back in time by a few minutes. Each time this has happened, it has been to prevent a tragic event from occurring. He usually doesn't know what event this is, and he has limited time to fix it. Despite that he has a decent track record. One day after a murder takes place he is sent back further than ever before; back to when he was a kid in school. Fortunately, this time he knows what event he has to stop: the abduction and murder of a little girl (who is also his classmate). Unfortunately, The killer was never caught, and he has little influence as a child.
Action:
RWBY: Technically not an anime, but it is stylized like one. A group a four girls attend a school that teaches them how to slay monsters (known as "the Grimm"). Really cool cartoon. Good mix of action, comedy and drama.
Legend of Korra: Also an anime-styled cartoon. You've probably heard of it already, but it's about a world where (some) people have control over a certain element. The protagonist Korra is the current "Avatar" (someone who can bend all four: water, fire, earth and air). Korra is faced with various trials, the primary being a new group of anti-benders who want to end the Benders reign and create an "equal" world where Benders are on the bottom of the totem pole. Wow terrible description, sorry about that. Also many people prefer the original show "Avatar: The Last Airbender" but I personally find that TLA isn't really aimed for older audiences as much as Korra is, and if you didn't watch it as a kid you probably won't like it.
I like Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei, but I'd have to know the sense of humor of a person before recommending it. (Also, the anime really went to town with the fan service, unfortunately.)

Me too. Yeah, his Charizard let him down. But he eventually helped him win on the Orange Islands, which was cool.
IT'S A GREAT ANIME!!!

I fucking love Satoshi Kon. It's a shame he passed. I'd have to say my two favorites of his are Perfect Blue and Tokyo Godfathers.
Miyazaki Hayao is another one of those directors you can't really go wrong with. The only downside is that none of his stuff is available digitally.
Spirited Away
He is also the creator of Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, and Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind, just to name a few.
Perfect Blue is on my list of Favorite Movies I Refuse to Ever Watch by Myself. It is excellent, but also traumatizing.
One-Punch Man.
Biology and organic chemistry, biology is simple but I hate chemistry
I could choose physics instead of chemistry but Quantum Conundrum is all I know...

Ooh, I forgot about Eden of the East, that's a good one!
I also liked Kill La Kill and Tiger and Bunny (haven't seen Baccano)
umm can someone recommend me a good vampire anime?
I enjoyed Blood+. Hellsing Ultimate is also good if a bit...err...extreme.
I don't watch all that much but the few that stood out were:
They all have stunning animation, great stories and characters and the voice acting, music and soundwork in all three is superb.
Baccano is a weird narrative, but one of the best, I have ever seen.
I like Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei, but I'd have to know the sense of humor of a person before recommending it. (Also, the anime really went to town with the fan service, unfortunately.)
