That's quite cool! I hope in a few months, they will show us a pic of either Bruce Wayne or Batman. Or better yet, Bruce Wayne with Batman's shadow looming behind him.
I took this screenshot from the teaser trailer of who i assume is Bruce Wayne.
I'm guessing they will probably base his character design on the comic books, at a guess i think we will probably see some actual in game character screenshots at E3 2016 or at one of the PAX events.

Immediately when I heard they would be releasing this, I really hoped badly for some kind of style connection between Gotham and The Wolf Among Us. Can always expect Telltale's great signature game look. Which made me even more excited than the fact that its a Batman game in general.
I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but I think it would be great if they had a reference to this in the game (skip to 1:00)

I'm hoping this comes out shortly after michonne!
I mean it's now the biggest IP of a game the are working on so it kind of has to lend itself to extra attention internally.

I'm actually thinking that Game of Thrones Season 2 will be next in succession after Michonne, since Seasons 1 and 2 of the series seem like they will lead more directly into each other than other seasons from different series would. They said in that Season 2 interview that they designed the story for Seasons 1 and 2 of the game at the same time (and around each other). I could see us either getting Season 2 a little earlier into the year, or getting Season 2 at the end of the year alongside Batman while we also get something in the Spring/Summer to fill in the downtime like how we got 400 Days and Poker Night 2 in 2013 during the downtime from Season 1 of Walking Dead to Season 2 and Wolf Among Us.

This makes sense since they already have character and level designs.
I hope Batman premieres before Q4, but that does sound like a reali… morestic timeline.
Unless they are moving on batman first to capitalize on batman v superman buzz and use "winter is coming" messaging for GOT in the winter.
To be far, well, fair-ish, it didn't come out in winter proper for America, since that's later in the month. I'm still kind of surprised they didn't capitalize on that.
use "winter is coming" messaging for GOT in the winter.
Oddly enough, they didn't for Season 1 of Game of Thrones even though that game came out in December 2014 so who knows. :P
I kinda hope this sort of ties in to the shows on TV somewhat, I mean if they were to throw this in as an Arrow verse story. Something like what Vixen did with it's animated series, they confirmed their connection by throwing in Arrow and Flash (Amell and Gustin), same thing could be done with this! I'm only partially behind this though, but it seems like the only likely way the Arrow-verse will ever get a batman (although WB's new mandate says tv shows cant be restricted of which characters they use simply because they're in movies, so maybe we will.)
Either way, yay a Batman game I can finally get behind!
I know people are already lining up/begging to say "no" (or no, just no) in various ways to this comment already like a pre-programmed robot, I can feel it.. but I really don't care xD
Hear the first details on Telltale's upcoming new series as Greg Miller interviews the award-winning developers to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy.
I feel like this Batman is going to more grounded, with the main villain probably committing these murders.
Eric Stripe tweeted this:
Listening to people on the Batman team talk about crime scenes and bullet wounds makes me feel like I'm in a… moren episode of CSI.
Meanwhile at my desk I'm just fretting over redstone circuits and gravel block physics.
I highly doubt so. I imagine the placement was simply because Batman was more relevant from being a new series announcement when the boards were last shifted around. Minecraft is still up top because it is the only current full Season that is live; then Batman is next because it is a new series; Thirdly, Walking Dead is there because Michonne was kinda close, but still further off back in December.
When Minecraft: Story Mode ends and/or Michonne premieres, I could potentially see the boards moving again.
Here's some cool stuff for SXSW:

...But it's a big franchise, so it obviously means Telltale only took it on because it's currently popular and not because they want to tell an interesting story - just like how, prior to the release of previous titles, people also accurately predicted games like Walking Dead or Tales from the Borderlands were obviously going to be nothing more than heartless cash-ins that weren't going to have any actual effort put in.
Ohhh...i see.... I really like the idea of a game, that focuses on Bruce Waynes personality and his problems of handling the responsability that comes with his role as Batman. If they handle it well, than it's going to be Awesome! Btw. Do we Know, who is going to write and direct it?

We know very little as of now. No specific details have been confirmed, but there is an upcoming Batman panel at SXSW that will feature Telltale staff including Pierre Shorette(writer) and TQ Jefferson(Producer) alongside Kevin Bruner(CEO) and Job Stauffer(PR Staff Member).

Too bad I'm currently boycotting WB due to shady practices with Arkham Knight and MKX on PC.
That being said, to everyone else who is gonna enjoy this, go ahead. This'll be the first Telltale I pass on in a while, and it's not their fault.

They now have the game page up, and it looks really cool!
thanks. That's all I wanted to know. See ya guys in 2017, maybe.
No. I would sooner play batman, thank you. Next thing you suggest they should be doing a sao game...lolnope.

As a telltale consumer, and GoT/TWD fanboy...
This will either go really good or really bad... REALLY QUICKLY
I think really good. Why? Because he's Batman!

Mhmm subtle foreshadowing. You are rated if u knew that this would be a hint of the future.

If they work with that Logic, GoT would've been Far superior to TftBL.
This is mostly me trying to justify that Batman should be released next in succession. Wishful thinking? Maybe, but I can't contain my excitement!
Yeah. I think that Batman will Premiere Q4 of 2016. But it has to Be Awesome.

Maybe they use the Style of TWAU And Then make it Black And white. THAT would Look Awesome!

Great.. another big franchize game for them to milk with mediocre game episodes. wohoo
How Do you Know? It's Not out yet...

If you want to have the right to criticise anything, you first need to know how to write.
