Yes but the story was kinda boring, the detective stuff was really hard, there were less gun combat etc. I don't say it's a bad game bu it would be boring to play the entire game.
You regretted playing L.A Noire? WHAT!??????
I suppose it's just opinion, but holy shit, one of the best games ever made imo.
I've persona… morelly never regretted a purchase. I suppose I was pretty disappointed with Mafia 2 and Tomb Raider, but they were on Xbox Free With Gold.
* Life is Strange: While it is one of my favorite games I played this year, I regret buying it. The story was good enough and kept me intere… morested in, but the dialogue is very cringey and the characters are dull and boring. Oh, and the last choice made none of my previous choices actually matter, while at least the choices in Telltale games kinda matter till the end. Oh, and the final episode had many flaws which made me like the series a lot less as a whole.
* The Wolf Among Us: I usually enjoy all Telltale games, but this is by far my least favorite Telltale game aside from Minecraft: Story Mode. I found the story uninteresting and I didn't care for any characters at all. But I do think that the choices were meaningful, yet I still enjoyed The Walking Dead: Season 2 way more than what I did with The Wolf Among Us.
However, despite I didn't care for any characters at all, I absolutely loved Bloody Mary on TWAU. Like, I actually starting rooting for her instead of Bigby in episode 5, which is something I never did for a villain. For me, her character is actually kinda interesting for me and she's surely one of my favorite female villains in gaming history.
Watch Dogs: You can see how misleading the promotional campaign for this game was, while I don't completely find it horrible the game was still very mediocre.
Assassins Creed Unity: Another reason why you should never over hype a game, especially if it's an AC game. And don't get me started on the endless glitches that this game had which made it unplayable.
Minecraft Story Mode: While the first episode was genuinely good and interesting, from EP2 and onward the game was meh and I only made it to EP3 so far, I couldn't even play EP4 yet even though I have it because I know that I'll be disappointed. There's also another thing that I never understood: How could you possibly make a game that has the Minecraft label on it turn so dark so fast? Even Tales From The Borderlands which had an M rating was more fun and cheerful than this. Shame on you, Telltale.
And that Jetra thread could run itself from now on, I don't care about it anymore.
Apart from all of that, I don't usually buy games, I get them my way

I like Life is Strange for its atmosphere. It just have this just nostalgia feeling to it that I like. So I don't regret having brought the game.
Yeah, one of the reasons I like Life is Strange is because of its art style. And I actually like Life is Strange's art style more than the art styles in Telltale games. Dontnod did a pretty good job with the art direction and the atmosphere, I'll give them that.
I am otherwise pretty neutral about the story, as it was relatively predictable how the story will end.
Yeah, the story was good for the most part but there are games out there that have a way better story (All recent Telltale games, Fallout games etc). And as for the ending, it was kinda touching but it kinda killed the series for me. And yeah, it was predictable of how the story would end. If the finale would actually turn better, then Life is Strange would definitely be one of my GOTY votes.

Just Cause 2: It's literally the most bland, repetitive and overhyped open world game I've ever played. Combat is clunky, driving controls is awful, near-total lack of soundtrack, silly plot, repetitive missions, lack of interesting side-activities, empty world. It's hard for me to understand how people can like this game.
Yes but the story was kinda boring, the detective stuff was really hard, there were less gun combat etc. I don't say it's a bad game bu it would be boring to play the entire game.
This game should've just been solely focused on the (huge) environment instead of even having a story...
This game also had a "don't run away from your problems" message (which is in the same degree as "watch where you go", "eat your vegetables"), why is it so hard for games not to have a slow half-assed gameplay anda decent well-written story?

The Detail probably. It's not finished yet, but the episodes and overall quality of the first two episodes are barebones and feel very flash game esque. I understand it's a small studio. but at least finish your art instead of leaving it uncompleted and saying it's for stylistic choices. While I do like the idea of how they did the QTE(?) sequences the lack of any sound effects makes the whole affair seem just plain awkward and it's hard to take anything seriously. If they could've attempted some actual sound effects and maybe picked up some decent voice actor (it would be better than none imo) I could've seen this being just more than mediocre. Maybe episode 3 will be better?

The Evil Within- Just a shitty game with a shitty atmosphere and shitty story. It was made abundantly clear in the trailers before the game came out that it was going to be a horror game, but then its story became confusing as hell, and don't even get me started on the atmosphere.
Thief- Fucking horrendous. It's supposed to be a stealth game about stealing, yet doesn't have the atmosphere for it, not to mention the horrible story.
Just Cause 3- I made the mistake of buying a game based on a series I've never played before, and paid the price for it. The game's made for free-roaming, and that's just not my style. I found the story very dull and uninteresting as well.
I know people are gonna be like "Tch.. typical Gary", but to be completely honest here, The Last Of Us. I did get some enjoyment out of it, sure. But I didn't really like the story all that much, and with a game so completely focused on story, it felt like I wasted my money.
Or playing a demo. Unfortunately, most game devs don't create demos for the games.
Which is why my consoles don't have much games since I don't really trust reviews and trailers since I'd rather play a small portion of a game before buying it.

TWD season 2 - Whilst I do think it was worth buying for season 3, I thought the game, which did start off really well, turned out shit. In the end none of your choices matter, good characters with great potential was killed off in about 2 seconds and it made me hate Kenny.
But worse of all, everytime I try and replay it I can't help but think of how awful the fandom was. Like it had people white washing Clementine (and surprisingly Lee), it created Cluke shippers, it created Kenny/Jane apologists, it had Tumblr spew out the most vile shit such as "child abuser (Troy) I love" and let alone I saw (luckily a very few) people trying to claim the game was bad because it was queer baiting because Luke and Nick never got together and coming from someone who is homosexual for themself, I never got how it was.
I'm glad you agree with me

Well, actually, in the beginning it was like that but in episode 3 and 4, things were getting better in terms of writing, dialogue (kinda) and characters.
But the finale dropped the series a whole level down.
I can't believe I thought the finale would be fantastic lmfao.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2: I was really happy for the first 3 hours, but it then became repeative.
Sure do agree with you on The Force Unleased 2 (to short and repetitive) Somewhat agree with on KotOR 2 (overall I feel it's a close 2nd to KotOR 1) Completely disagree with The Walking Dead Season 2 (I absolutely loved it. Equally good to season 1). I haven't played any others from you list.

This is what I have to say about Metal Gear Solid V, it has a really good gameplay, but a weak and unfocused story. If the story was good, emotional and involving, I would have cared to finish the game.
Honestly, Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain. The production values are pretty high and the gameplay mechanics may be very good. But the pr… moreoblems are:
* The lack of side-ops variety, with there being even less types of side-ops than in PW, which makes doing the side-ops more of a chore.
* The empty and boring open world with several copy and paste outposts and only a few interesting bases. You know, it would've been perfect to have the Mujahideen in Afghanistan and then being given the option to fight alongside them, like in MGS4 and how you could side with the rebels and fight alongside them, and this is something that would've made the world feel more alive.
* The lifeless motherbase (seriously they promised stuff for it that weren't in the final game), seriously every players' motherbases will look the same aside from the colour, which isn't what they promised of everyone's motherbase possibly being different from one another, your… [view original content]

You mean you can't roam around in Firewatch?
You can... at some points
But then you have to backtrack to an area you've already been to... cut down something so you can processed...

Far Cry 4. I bought it at full price but it was just a buggier and less fun port of Far Cry 3.
Damn and Just yesterday I was thinking about buying Life is strange.
Far Cry 4: Because the map editor is shit, and I couldn't care less for the campaign.
Great, I'm not the only one who thought about the Cluke shippers when Clementine and Luke were together.
How can you like a story game where the dialogue is cringy and the characters are dull?
They ruined a perfectly good brother/sister dynamic for me tbh
Well, actually, in the beginning it was like that but in episode 3 and 4, things were getting better in terms of writing, dialogue (kinda) and characters.
But the finale dropped the series a whole level down.
I can't believe I thought the finale would be fantastic lmfao.
Same with me, I played after I got to know about the Cluke shippers, So that kinda ruined Cluke with me.
But Kenny has a good beard in season 2 so that makes up for it.
Oh alright, you should've been more specific ;p
Yeah, I know ;P
I 100% agree with you on that, it was the only reason why I enjoyed that game (aside from Max's relationships with Kate and Chloe). The artwork for Life is Strange has really inspired me, although I doubt that I will ever reach to their skills, to draw like that.

Borderland 2
Don't Starve
Portal 1/2
Telltale's Game of Thrones
Cities Skylines
They're all unplayable and bad.
