  • The Resident Evil franchise and Godzilla (2014)

  • Patriot: I was embarrassed to call myself an American after seeing it, knowing people from around the world would also be seeing it's pure fictional version of the American Revolution.

  • Waiting for @Saltlick123 to see this thread.

Iron Man 3, I had very high hopes for it, especially since it was coming off the first Avengers movie, and it (and I'm not going to sugarcoat this) sucked hard. It had it's moments, but it completely fucked up The Mandarin, they turned him into a joke.

  • My exact gripe with Iron Man 3. The God damn Mandirin was wasted!

  • I still can't wrap around why anyone likes it

The characters were interesting, both old and new, it had the feel of the original trilogy while still feeling new and updated, the acting was great, the effects were good, there wasn't an overabundance of CGI, Geroge Lucas wasn't involved with it, JJ Abrams was involved with it, some of the humor was pretty funny, it was better than the prequels, it had better direction, there wasn't any Jar Jar, BB-8, TR-8R, I can go on and on.

the definition of Hollywood making nostalgic but unnecessary sequel cash grabs.

You could say the exact same thing for Jurassic World which interestingly, according to the critics, almost has some of the exact same problems as Force Awakens and you liked or loved Jurassic World didn't you? Again, I'm not attacking your opinion, I just find it interesting.

  • Fine, one thing I liked was the lightsaber battle between Kylo Ren and Rey. One thing I don't like about the prequels was the lightsaber battles, they were always flashy and heavily choreographed, the battles in the original trilogy were far better. I don't need 3 minutes of Anakin and Obi-Wan spinning and twirling their lightsabers like in Revenge of the Sith or people doing air flips, I want a battle between people that looks like they're actually fighting, not something that looks like they're doing what someone told them to do. Their battle in The Force Awakens mirrors battles seen in the original trilogy, and that was something I enjoyed.

  • Mostly around positive Force Awakens videos.

Here's one comment on one video having positive things to say on Force Awakens: "The damage control your doing is sad. You sound like you have battered woman's syndrome."

And this is on a video from someone giving their honest opinions and fully showing respect to other opinions on force Awakens

    1. NOAH.

    2. True Grit ( Jeff Bridges).

    3. Big Trouble (Tim Allen).

    4. Bad News Bears (2005, Billy Bob Thornton).

I picked NOAH as number 1, because quite frankly when I went to see it, I felt like I not only wasted my money, but also my time. When it was over, I was so drained! Not only was the movie boring, but it was also rather offensive. I was raised a Protestant Christian. And even though I don't go to church now, I still hold a lot of those Biblical stories that I learned as a kid in high regard.

So when I went to go see it, I went in with an open mind, and I tried to like the film. But after the first 20 minutes of the film, I was wanting to walk out. The film was like a very very bad version of Lord Of The Rings! I remember thinking to myself: "Why do I continue to sit here, when I can be somewhere else doing something constructive?"

The film was so bad, that at some points I had to restrain myself from laughing! Some of the stuff in the film was so hoaky, that not only could I barely stop myself from laughing, but I also wondered: "How did something this stupid ever get made?"

I picked the True Grit remake as number 2, because it to was extremely boring. It was in many respects a word-for-word version of the original film, but everyone in the film seemed to have no life in them - no getup and go. They sounded as bored while making the film, as I did watching it.

Don't get me wrong, I think Jeff Bridges is a wonderful actor! But in many respects, an actor is only as good as the script he's given. And if the script is bad, then it doesn't matter how good the actor is, the film is just going to be abysmal.

    1. Avatar The Last Airbender - Hollywood. That's self-explanatory.
    2. Zoolander 2 - I didn't watch the first movie and I had no idea what number 2 was about. But I give movies the benefit of the doubt of being somewhat decent. I was terribly, terribly wrong. This whole movie was a mess.

  • I Am Legend. It could've had less CGI and a better ending.

World War Z. The beginning was intense and cool. Afterwards was meh.

Mad Max: Fury Road. No Mel Gibson.

  • Jurassic World was honestly such a disappointment. Weak characters, weak story, weak dialogue, over-the-top CGI which was way too in your face to look real most of the time, to summarize a horrible, overrated piece of garbage. And I'm saying this as a huge fan of the first two movies, and someone who can watch JP/// without second thoughts. Because JP/// at least knew it was shit and just a popcorn flick, whereas JW takes itself way too serious for such a obviously bland cash in.

And it's not even because people have lower standards. People are so overly harsh on many movies that deserve way better ratings and critize the story and weak characters when they're praising shit like Jurassic World. Get your shit together, internet.

  • Star Wars: Force Awakens. Don't get me wrong, I love this movie but thing about it that disappoints me so much is the fact this almost the exact same storyline as in episode 4.

  • Knowing that movie with Nic Cage. one of the worst movies of all time.

Any of the new Bond movies. i dont hate them, nor do i think they are bad, but i expected more.

The Dark Knight - everyone really, REALLY overrated it. its good but it is not that good. Rises was better.

The Interview - i still love it, but i expected more, especially after This is the End.

all i can think for right now, will update it once i remember some more ;)

  • The only recent movie I've seen that disappointed me was Age of Ultron.
