Predict Telltale's 2016 release schedule [Mod Edit: Q1 and Q2 Edition]
April: Michonne Episode 2
May: Michonne Episode 3
July: Batman Episode 1
September: Batman Episode 2
November: Batman Episode 3
December: The Walking Dead Season 3 Episode 1
Mod Edit: Instead of merging this with the older thread, I think it would be better for people to make threads for different quarters of the year instead of bumping one single thread each time someone wants to make a new prediction. This thread can cover predictions people make for the next few months until Summer, at which point someone can make a new thread then if they want to.

There is already an older thread for this, but I'm thinking that instead of merging the two threads, instead I'll allow for this thread to be a newer edition based on what time of the year somebody posts a prediction thread so we don't bump one thread over and over again.
I think bi-monthly releases are starting to become a thing of the past if Episodes 1-4 and Michonne are any indication at this point. I don't know if Batman will release as soon as July, but it seems like we will be getting a lot more episodes (and at a quicker pace) starting this year.
I would predict that Game of Thrones: Season 2 would be the game we get next, since Season 1 and Season 2 had their stories designed around each other, and multiple plot lines from Season 1 all lead pretty directly into Season 2.
Minecraft: Story Mode
The Walking Dead: Michonne
E3 2016/General Summer Event Announcements
Game of Thrones: Season 2
(Seasons 1/2 are interconnected, so I can see an early release for Game of Thrones: Season 2)
Batman (Untitled Series)
Walking Dead: Season 3
End of year/into next year
I do agree with most of your list, good job. But would we really think game of thrones season 2 would come out that quickly, same with batman
I'm unsure of that myself, but from past experience as a long time Telltale fan, Telltale has not liked extended downtime between their games. I guessed Game of Thrones Season 2 as having been the next title since Seasons 1 and 2 are interconnected unlike other Telltale sequels, but I definitely agree we don't know enough about the game at this point for it to sound like a guarantee.
My next guess would be either Season 3 of Walking Dead, or some unannounced Pilot Project game along the lines of Poker Night or Puzzle Agent. No matter what, I can't see us going more than two or three months without Telltale having any new Seasons or self contained game being released.
Edit: In retrospect, with Telltlale teasing this year would be huge for Walking Dead and my current prediction placing Season 3 all the way back at October, maybe I could see Season 3 having a Summer release while Thrones Season 2 comes out towards the end of the year as well.
Wolf Among Us Season 2 episode 1: February 17th, 2017.
Bumping this for fun once again with more predictions. Minecraft Ep 5 and Michonne Ep 2 are confirmed for March 29th, Batman is confirmed for Summer, and now we know Minecraft is getting three more episodes.
Wait a second.. there's going to be a Minecraft DLC? 3 episodes? My god...
https://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/105122/minecraft-story-mode-announcement-thread-three-new-episodes-to-follow-up-the-season-coming-in-2016
Yeah, I kinda gave up on Thrones Season 2 for this year. Also, it seems Episode 6 of Story Mode is having a table read as of right now, so May...Maybe late April definitely sounds possible.
I still think we are also getting Thrones Season 2 this year, I just am clueless on how to make any predictions for it. We've had two concurrent Seasons before, but never three (not including Minecraft Episode 1 a week before Thrones/Tales ended). It seems like Telltale is doing new stuff with their schedule by having different games premiere at different parts of the year now that they are going back to monthly releases, so I dunno how to guess where Thrones would come in.
Maybe Thrones could come around November or December, but that would be three episodes a month right around Thanksgiving and the Holidays, unless Batman starts in July and Thrones starts in December?
Look, I have nothing against Minecraft or it's fans, but, wouldn't it be preferable if they made this a separate season instead of a DLC, that way they would get more hype and more time to improve, right?
Michonne was also normally supposed to be DLC for Season 2 of Walking Dead, so I guess they are sticking to their original plan for Minecraft. It's going to be a continuation of a story line introduced in Episode 5, so I think it makes sense to have that be DLC instead of a new game. Plus, it means that Minecraft can end quicker so staff can move on to newer games.
Wouldn't that cause more rage in the community. Making the choice to make a "Second Season" right off the bat and including a free pre-installed "DLC" episode in the "first season" and 3 more later on seems like a pretty good idea. Their fanbase is a lot younger and would be annoyed if episode 5 just ends with no indication of a season 2 for a while. Also consider that Telltale may have not signed a multi-year contract with Mojang so this is a nice loop-hole.
Fair point, but just because they want to get it out for the crowd quicker doesn't mean they have to improvise a new story just so they could please their audience ( not really improvise, but you get my point). For me personally, I would've preferred that they finish the season with EP5 and wait for their already ongoing projects to finish first, then they could start working on a new season with fresh ideas, more experience and a better engine ( the engine part isn't necessary because the game already works fine on their current engine), which would result in a better quality overall. Especially since a lot of people (including me) were greatly underwhelmed with how the story went on in later episodes. Sure, the activity of the fandom will greatly decrease, but once the next season is announced people will come back.
It's very likely that they were already planning on making 8 episodes when they were developing the season, but were waiting to see how it sold before committing to it (like what happened with IDW's Back to the Future comic, where they announced four comics but had two complete arcs ready so they could commit to it when sales exceeded their expectations).
We will get batman news and screenshots at E3 2016
SO...I think Super show is definitely not coming out this year. the last time we heard something was like what...last year?!
Wolf among us: year 20991 jan 1
Waiting for TWAU season 2
Theres no news at all, sometimes I think I imagined it.
So this is year for telltale games in the summer we will 3 more episodes of minecraft story mode and batman and in this fall we get twd season 3 in late October
Hey bilnd sniper would you update the release date predictions for the upcoming telltale games
Uh, yeah, sure.
Updated Predictions:
E3/Comic Con/PAX all seem like decent time frames to expect some more info. Job hinted that Super Shows would be part of Telltale's future in "2016 and beyond" when he first teased them, but who knows if that meant when they first elaborate on the concept or when the Super Show actually comes out.
My Heart Will Go On - Flute Cover (Maybe Parody)
Minecraft story mode ep 6 come out in June next month but we don't a release date yet
Super Show and this year's E3... Hmm...
As long it's not live-acted FMV adventure, they're fine I suppose.
Update minecraft story mode ep 6 confirmed release date June 7th.
With that being the case, I'd update my predictions to where games still come out in the same month, but are swapped with coming out early/later that month.
Since Minecraft Ep 6 is confirmed for early June, I imagine that would make Batman more likely to come out in mid or late August, and Walking Dead more likely to premiere in early October since Minecraft isn't coming out in late June.
omg KreyGasm
Hey bilnd sniper update predictions for upcoming games telltale since minecraft story mode ep 7 is coming out June 7th.
Batman is confirmed for this summer and the walking dead season 3 coming out this fall and getting news on batman next week at e3 2016.
Im still tryin to figure out if clem will be a total badass and i think they should do a the walking dead and the wolf among us crossover and have clem and bigby related somehow that would be a serious game of the year thingy
you are baaaaaaack or maybe you've never left but idk
Username checks out.
Hey bilnd sniper would update the prediction for upcoming telltale games for this fall
Telltale doesn't work fast enough to where I would need to change my predictions every week. Let's wait for several more weeks and see if anything new and extremely noteworthy happens then.
At the game awards 2016 telltale could announce their next project and their marvel game for next year.
Oh man, yes! I forgot about their original IP plans. We need that super show, even if I have no idea what it would be. I'd love the idea of interactive/scripted storytelling they talked about when they first revealed it.. I've never played Quantum Break (which fyi, has the same idea), but the concept always sounded cool (even if a lot of people hate it), do interactive segments, get a scripted 22 minute show based on some of your actions [from the point of view of the villains]. I'd love to see Telltale's take on that.
