There have usually been a few issues on episode launch days even when they only launched one episode at a time. Granted, I'm sure having two episodes to focus on at once complicates matters even more, but I don't think it is the main cause of these issues.
My guess is as good as anyone's, but do you thinks it's kind of odd that this is the first time they released 2 episodes on the same day and… more one of them(as far as I now) is bugging out. Maybe they just mixed up some of the data. I can't explain why some work and some don't
Are you downloading the whole game? Episodes for Minecraft are smaller, and have usually been around 700-900 megabytes. Not even other Telltale series have episodes that big.
I think I have heard others say the three DLC episodes are included in their own bundle. I think it will be like a typical Telltale game, where you can still choose to buy episodes together or separately.
To be fair, I presume they rewrote the episode to make it lead into the three extra DLC episodes after the success of Season 1. Still, though, I agree it was super unexpected and out of the blue.

Telltale Games Support Center has an article up about the error for 360 users getting stuck at the title screen. They don't have a solution yet, but they are working towards one and have acknowledged it is an issue people are having. Check back occasionally for updates on the issue.

I downloaded Ep.5 with the season pass disk for Xbox 360 and whenever i go into the Download Content or hit Play it says new content ready to be installed and all it says it has to do is restart the menu. Then i'm back at the same loop. I have tried turning off my Xbox360, removing disk and I even made a ttg.io account but it still won't let me play Ep.5.
